Did Raven-Symone Really Get "Slapped" to Make Room for Kendall Jenner on Red Carpet? Watch Video of the Moment Right Here!

Raven-Symone says she was "slapped upside the chest" twice during a red carpet interview this week -- after a producer wanted her to get out of the way so they could talk to Kendall Jenner instead.
But video of the moment in question tells a slightly different story.
toofab has exclusively obtained video of "The View" host's chat with StarShop App reporter Alicia Quarles -- and, while she's definitely booted in lieu of the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star, it wasn't quite as hostile as Raven made it sound.
In the clip above, we see Symone and Quarles talking about beauty must-haves, as Kendall lingers in the background. Before Raven's even allowed to answer, she gets cut off by a producer just off-camera. "Alicia," the woman interjects, before motioning to Jenner.
"Oh, that's O.K., someone's more important, so I'll let them go ahead," the former "Cosby" star quips, before you hear someone else say, "Sorry, we're gonna go with Kendall."             It's embarrassing for Raven, sure, but here's how she described the incident on "The View" earlier this week:

The US Navy's 'ghost hunter' to set sail: 132 foot long robo-boat will scour seas for silent enemy submarines for months at a time - without a single person on board

They hope to end the growing threat of quiet, diesel powered enemy submarines entering American waters undetected.

THE SILENT ENEMY SUBS

Diesel-electric submarines, with their nearly-noiseless engines, are incredibly difficult to track from afar.
They're also cheap at $200 million to $300 million apiece, making them affordable to the likes of Iran, which claims to have a fleet of 17.
Darpa director Dr. Arati Prabhakar and deputy director Dr. Steve Walker revealed the craft.
'Imagine an unmanned surface vessel following all the laws of the sea on its own,' Walker told media, 'and operating with manned surface and unmanned underwater vehicles.'
The robot boats will go to sea for us to three months at a time.
It will be christened in April in Portland, Oregon, and then begin to demonstrate its long-range capabilities over 18 months in cooperation with the Office of Naval Research and the Space and Naval Systems Warfare Command.
We think the real cost savings will be in operating this vessel at sea compared to how we operate vessels today,' he added.
'It could be used for counter-mine missions, reconnaissance and resupply.'
The project began in 2010, when the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA, announced that they were building a 132-foot autonomous boat to track quiet, diesel-powered submarines.

Saudi Arabia will send fighter jets to Turkish base in preparation for anti-ISIS bombing campaign as the conflict threatens to escalate in the region

Saudi Arabia is set to move fighter jets to its base in Turkey in preparation for a possible bombing campaign against ISIS jihadists in Syria
Saudi Arabia is set to move fighter jets to its base in Turkey in preparation for a possible bombing campaign against ISIS jihadists in Syria.

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu confirmed the potential plan and suggested Turkey were also considering military options against ISIS.
'If there is a strategy (against ISIS) then Turkey and Saudi Arabia could enter into a ground operation,' Mr Cavusoglu said after the Munich Security Conference.

'Saudi Arabia is also sending planes to Turkey, to (the base of) Incirlik,' he said.
'They (Saudi officials) came, did a reconnaissance of the base. At the moment it is not clear how many planes will come.'
The news comes as two Syrian rebel commanders told Reuters they had been sent 'excellent quantities' of ground-to-ground Grad missiles by foreign backers.
The missiles have a range of 20 km (12 miles) and are expected to be used to confront the Russian-backed offensive.

'New cold war inches closer' after Turkey bombs targets in Syria just hours after Russia's chilling threat

Vladimir Putin, Syria
'A new cold war?' Vladimir Putin is furious with Turkey's action in Syria
Turkey's military has provoked Russian president Vladimir Putin by bombing targets in Syria - just hours after the Kremlin warned that such action could lead to a "new cold war".
The country's army targeted Kurdish militia near the town of Azaz in northern Syria.
A Turkish government source confirmed the attack, despite the Kermlin's warning earlier today that Turkey and Saudi Arabia's proposed anti-ISIS action in the country could lead to a major world conflict.
The source said: "The Turkish Armed Forces fired shells at PYD positions in the Azaz area" referring to the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), which Turkey regards as a terrorist organisation.
Earlier today the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said he was fed up of Russia being accused of war crimes in Syria.

Cancer drug could prevent Alzheimer's and dementia as scientists announce major breakthrough

A woman comforting a man
Hope: The new breakthrough could help prevent Alzheimer's disease from developing
Scientists tonight hailed a major breakthrough in the war on dementia after discovering a cancer drug can prevent the disease.
The stunning development could pave the way for millions of Brits to be given "neurostatins" to slash their risk of Alzheimer's as they get older.
University of Cambridge researchers hope their findings will enable GPs to offer the drug like statins are prescribed to prevent heart problems.
Around 17 million adults - two in every five - are already eligible for cholesterol-busting statins.
And experts said similar numbers could be offered pills to protect against dementia, after finding a cancer treatment can halt the development of the disease.
Incredibly, they claim all Brits over the age of 30 could benefit.
The symptoms of Alzheimer's are caused by clumps of deformed proteins called amyloid in the brain.

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are going to war as she tries to protect her 'firewall'

AP_617541352129
Hillary Clinton's campaign has brought out the firepower quickly after her crushing loss to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) on Tuesday night in the New Hampshire Democratic primary.
"When you match up the record of Hillary Clinton with the record of Bernie Sanders, it simply is no comparison," Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-New York) said Wednesday in a campaign conference call.
"Hillary Clinton has been at the dance from the very beginning of her career. [Sanders] is a new arrival at the dance. And for many of us, it simply lends no credibility for some of the things that are now being said at the twilight of his political career."

I volunteered to fight in Syria … and ended up in a Kurdish prison

Peshmerga training operation inherent resolve
I had an opportunity to chat with a friend of mine, Red, who went to fight for the Kurdish Peshmerga, but ended up incarcerated after an unsuccessful attempt to cross the border into Syria.
SOFREP: So can you walk me through how it went down? Your arrest, I mean.
Red: Well, we were passed off near the border on the Syrian side to two guys in Pesh uniforms.
From there, we drove to the border, which we were told we would be able to get across just fine, so I assumed we’d be going to the YBS (Sinjar Resistance Units) base near Shengal.
Instead, they ended up taking us right to the legitimate border crossing. At that point, we were stopped like every other vehicle, but we had Westerners in the vehicle so they asked who we were, at which point the Pesh guys gave us right up and said they had no idea who we were.

Teacher shoots dead six colleagues at school in Saudi Arabia...

A teacher in southern Saudi Arabia opened fire on colleagues today, Thursday, Feb. 11, killing at least six people and wounding two.

The brief reports on the state television channel’s website and Twitter account did not elaborate or offer a reason for the shooting at an education department building. It quoted an unnamed police spokesman for the information and said the suspected shooter was in custody.

State TV posted a still photograph that showed ambulances gathered outside the building where the shooting took place in Jizan province.

Mass shootings are rare in the kingdom, though Saudi Arabia has faced a series of recent attacks by ISIL militants.

Mum-of-four wrote heartbreaking Facebook post then killed herself after her children were taken into care

Tragic: She jumped off a bridge to her death, the inquest heard
A mother-of-four jumped 30 feet to her death off a bridge after her children were taken away from her due to an affair she had with a drug addict, an inquest heard.
The tragic mum was found by a passing motorist shortly afterwards on a road at the bottom of a bridge near her home in Blackburn, Lancs.
Hours before, Miss Rayson posted a message on Facebook which read: ''Night night everyone, I've had it. Love my babies back but I'm a failure''.
She died three days later in hospital from multiple injuries leaving behind children Ebony, 20, Atlanta, 16, Kai, 13 and Rylee, three.
Ebony is now looking after Atlanta and Kai, whilst Rylee's father has custody of him.

The first discovery of 2 colliding black holes just fundamentally changed our perception of the universe

22073708433_bef1cd0c68_b

A team of scientists just announced a groundbreaking discovery that encompasses everything from Albert Einstein's theories about the laws of physics to the fundamental way we approach our study of the universe.
On Thursday at a news conference in Washington, D.C., the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, made up of more than 1,000 scientists worldwide, publicly released results that had been secretly circulating among the scientific community for the past few weeks: the first detection of a phenomenon called gravitational waves that came from two colliding black holes.
This is the first time humans have detected the merging of two black holes, and it is also themost compelling evidence we now have that black holes truly exist.
Black holes are a mysterious breed of cosmic beast whose gravitational pull on their surrounding environment is so great that nothing escapes — not even light.
This makes them impossible to see with the naked eye, difficult to detect, and even tougher to study. As a result, black holes continue to boggle the minds of the most brilliant astrophysicists.
But now, thanks to a $620 million machine called Advanced LIGO, short for Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory, astrophysicists have a new tool to spy on these elusive creatures.

Russia warns of new WORLD WAR if Syria peace deal is not agreed

Russia has warned of a permanent World War if the conflict in Syria is not resolved.
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev also warned against any ground operations by U.S. and Arab forces.
Medvedev, on the eve of a security conference in Munich, said the United States and Russia must exert pressure on all sides in the conflict to secure a ceasefire.
Asked about Saudi Arabia's offer last week to supply ground troops if a U.S.-led operation were mounted against Islamic State, he said:
"This is bad as a ground offensive usually turns the war into a permanent one. Just look at what happened in Afghanistan and many other countries. I don't need to remind you what happened in poor Libya."

This $28-million yacht can run on all-electric power

000 2ecd97c9ddWider Yachts
Wider has completed the first sea trials of the Wider 150 superyacht, an all-aluminum ship with a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system.
Designed by Fulvio de Simoni and overseen by Tilli Antonelli, the 150-foot yacht functioned smoothly throughout each test and achieved its forecasted goals.
Wider 150 reached a top speed of 15 knots in diesel-electric mode and utilized new technology to reduce sound and vibrations to a minuscule level.
The battery banks that comprise the heart of the superyacht’s power system were carefully scrutinized. Supplied by ESTechnologies in the Netherlands, the batteries used in the Wider 150’s zero-emission mode were tested over several days to ensure the yacht is capable of running exclusively on battery and generator power.

Disappearing act: Twitter reports flatlining user growth

Twitter set out to build a virtual town square bustling with billions of people. But it's starting to look more like a novelty stand as the masses flock to other services that strike a more personal chord.

The San Francisco company showed no user growth at all in a fourth-quarter report released Thursday, the clearest signal yet that the one-time trendsetter is struggling to remain relevant. That leaves it with 320 million monthly users — roughly one-fifth the size of Facebook.
CEO Jack Dorsey is working hard to reconfigure the decade-old service. That's trickier than it sounds, since he also needs to avoid alienating a core of devoted users who depend on it to tweet their thoughts and track issues that matter to them.
Dorsey took a step in that direction Wednesday, announcing plans to tweak Twitter's timeline to highlight tweets that the service will appeal the most to each user, instead of only presenting them in reverse chronological order. He also has hinted that Twitter may lift its long-standing 140-character limit on the length of each tweet.

Human error' may have caused German train crash, media say

German authorities were on Tuesday investigating how two commuter trains collided head-on, leaving at least 10 dead and dozens injured, despite having been fitted with automatic braking systems to prevent such accidents.

German media reports said Wednesday that human error was likely to blame for the high-speed crashnear the southern spa town of Bad Aibling, when one of the trains sliced into the other and ripped a hole in its side.
But German police rejected the reports as "pure speculation". "Discard that, we reject that," a spokesman told local broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk.
Newspaper group RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschand (RND), citing sources close to the investigation, said a signalling station worker had manually disactivated the automatic signalling system to let the first train – which was running late – go past. The second train then forged ahead on the same track in the opposite direction, before the first was able to split off where the line divides into two.
The Bild newspaper reported that manually disabling the signalling would have disactivated the automatic braking systems.
Police said they were no longer looking for a missing person in the train crash that has killed 10 and injured dozens in a rural area in southern Germany. Police spokesman Stefan Sonntag said Wednesday that after contacting all hospitals in the region, authorities concluded that there was nobody missing after Tuesday's crash.

Shocking new ISIS video shows four-year-old British boy dubbed 'Jihadi Junior' blowing up four alleged spies in a car bomb

Isa Dare, the son of Muslim convert Grace 'Khadija' Dare from south east London, pushes the button that blows up four alleged spies sitting in a white car behind him.
Standing triumphantly next to the charred remains of the car, his hand raised to the sky, the boy then yells: 'Allahu Akbar.'
It is the second time the young boy, who was brainwashed after his mother took him to Syria three years ago, has appeared in one of the extremists' propaganda videos.

His grandfather told of how the child begged him to save him just days before he was forced to appear in the first video last month.
In what was seen as a 'promotion' of this latest murderous release, Dare was made to declare: 'We are going to kill the kuffar [non-believers] over there' - before pointing to the men killed in today's video.
Today's video, which is believed to be shot in ISIS's de facto capital of Raqqa, was entitled: 'They are the enemy so be aware of them.'
One by one, each man confessed to either spying on, or conspiring against, ISIS. They were later seen handcuffed to the inside of a car - with a look of utter fear in their eyes.
Before they were killed, the senior ISIS commander standing next to the boy threatened British Prime Minister David Cameron for arming the terror group's enemies in Syria.
He said: 'You will never fight us except behind fortified fortresses or behind walls.
'So no David Cameron, you’ve given the whole world more certainty in this [inaudible]. You’ve only done two things.

A woman has survived a 60ft fall from the balcony of a John Lewis store after a bed miraculously broke her fall.
Shoppers watched in horror as the 60-year-old plunged two storeys to the basement of the shop in Cheadle, Manchester.
She only suffered minor injuries to her hip and spine after landing on a display bed, it was reported.

Police and emergency services rushed to the store on Wilmslow Road (pictured) at around before 4pm

Police and emergency services rushed to the store on Wilmslow Road at around before 4pm after several people called 999 to report she had fallen from the upper levels.
She fell over the glass balcony near the shop's escalators, the Manchester Evening News reported.
Witnesses told of hearing screams after she fell. The shop was closed by bosses for the remaining four hours as police began their investigation.
CCTV footage has been handed to officers, who were seen talking to managers behind closed doors today.
Staff at the department store are understood to have been offered support by John Lewis bosses after a handful witnessed the harrowing incident.
Several ambulances, a helicopter and three hazard response teams, were scrambled to the scene.

The secret of good s3x: Saying 'I love you' during the act is the one thing most likely to leave you and your partner satisfied

Saying ‘I love you’ during sex is the thing that is most likely to make you and your partner feel satisfied, according to a study (stock image)
Saying ‘I love you’ during sex is the thing that is most likely to make you and your partner feel satisfied.
A study has found that talking about love whilst in bed beats foreplay and wearing sexy lingerie to ensure you have a good time.
Some 75 per cent of satisfied men said ‘I love you’ whilst they had sex and 74 per cent of satisfied women did the same.
The study, one of the largest of its kind to date, involved an online survey which got tens of thousands of responses.
Scientists from Chapman University in the US analyzed the answers of 39,000 married or cohabitating heterosexual men and women who had been with their partner for at least three years.
The average age was 40 years old for women and 46 years old for men.
The results showed that the more a couple communicates during sex, the more satisfied they are going to be.
Things which improved love making included; praising your partner for something they did in bed and asking your partner for something you want.
Talking on the phone or by email during the day about sex also ensured that they had a good time in bed.

Six reasons why you should not do this on Valentine’s day

Love-Couple-Happy-6204801
It’s one day out of year when people are encouraged to go out of their way and be extra romantic.
During Valentine’s Day, so many evils are committed in the name of celebrating love.
Men go all out to spoil their women and some of the women feel they have to pay back in a way by giving him whatever he wants.
Some feel if a guy spoils you with gifts, you owe him, reducing Valentine’s Day to a cleverly orchestrated business transaction: You give me things, I give you S3@.x:’.
For most people, S3@.x:’ is an important part of Valentine’s Day. Whether or not people are in a relationship, S3@.x:’ seems like a big part Valentine’s Day package.
