Stop Attacking And Molesting Us! Nigerian Gay Men Cry Out

Homosexuals in Nigeria are not happy with the government, they said in a statement on Tuesday, following a meeting they held in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, southwest Nigeria.
In a statement titled: “Same sex prohibition: Group flays government on anti-citizen laws and abuse of human rights”, the group known as “The Right Defense”, said their members have been harassed and humiliated in recent times across Nigeria.
During their meeting in Ibadan, the group said it “voiced out and maintained its position on the undemocratic attack on its members and anti-oppressors against Nigerian people.”

The group whose members do not use their full names said because of arrests of its members by policemen and intimidation by the government it decided to speak up to express feelings towards defending human rights for all Nigerian citizens without discrimination of any sort “as it concerns the homosexuality and transgender saga in Nigeria.”
The statement was signed by Salawu K., Anisere A., Kehinde A., Orilonise I. A., George U., Olatoyan T., Ogunshowo L., Penu Z. K., Ogunleye A., Adenola B. S., Tobiloba F., Kazeem A. O. and Babatunde Ayinde R., who are members of the group but do not disclose their full identities.
“Everyone should have the liberty to life and choice of living as endorsed by the United Nations on universal declaration for freedom of expression and choice for all nationalities,”the group said.
Members of the group have been declared wanted by the police, the statement read.
“Amongst many others was the case of  Mr I.O. Ibrahim, whose home and family were attacked and raided by unidentified security agents, thugs and still declared wanted by the agents some months ago He is currently living in abroad and struggling for human rights and egalitarian society globally,” the statement read.
The group also condemned “the dastardly act perpetrated by group of youths who molestated and intimidated four Nigerians in Ekwe village of Njaba LGA, Imo State.”
They were attacked, stripped and paraded across the cities over accusation of indecent practices- homosexuality.
The group also emphasised the inability of the Nigerian government to judiciously utilise the nation’s economic gains for the development of the nation and unfairness and inequality in the distribution of national resources.
The group said instead of wasting time and energy on homosexuals, the Nigerian government should rather provide the dividends of democracy and accountability to its citizens.

EFCC Arrests former Bayelsa Governor, Timipre Sylva

Former Governor Timipre Sylva
Premium Times Reports:
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, today (May 8, 2013) arrested the former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva.
He was picked up at his No. 3, Niger Street, Maitama, Abuja home.
The EFCC says in a statement Wednesday that on arrival at the facility at about 10.00 am, its operatives were told Mr. Sylva was not in town but that they insisted on conducting a search on the house having obtained a warrant from the court.

“During the search, vital documents were obtained. Ironically, the ex-governor who was said to be out of town was later found hiding in a dingy corner in the upper chamber of his expansive mansion,” the statement by the commission’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren said.
Mr. Uwujaren continues, “He was immediately whisked away and is currently being interrogated at the Abuja headquarters of the anti- graft agency. He is being grilled in connection with fresh evidence linking him with a bouquet of fraudulent transactions that borders on money laundering. Part of the new evidence includes a number of eye-popping real estate acquisitions in Abuja.
“The arrest of the former governor is sequel to his refusal to honour invitations by the Commission. Rather than appear before the EFCC, he got his lawyers to inform the Commission that he was unable to appear because he was sick, and hospitalised in Lagos. The lawyer had promised to appear with his client on May 7, 2013 but failed to do so.”
The Commission, the statement adds, will not longer tolerate the antics of suspects who treat its invitation with levity.

Horrific Details Emerge Surrounding The 3 Cleveland Women Rescued After Being Held Captive For 10 Years

More details are emerging about the horrifying conditions these three women – Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight— withstood while allegedly imprisoned by three brothers, Ariel Castro, Pedro Castro, and Onil Castro. The Castro brothers are expected to be formally charged today.
In an interview with 3m360 Today, Khalid Samad, a former assistant safety director for the city who now works for a crime prevention non-profit, said that law enforcement officials told him that they found chains in the house, which they believe the women were attached to for long periods of time, and that the women were beaten while pregnant, all but one of the unborn children not surviving. Amanda Berry was rescued along with her daughter Jocelyn, 6, whose biological father is allegedly one of the Castro brothers.

Yesterday, we showed you two amazing interviews with Charles Ramsey, the man credited with helping to save three women (who had disappeared a decade earlier) from his neighbor’s home. The unguarded and inadvertently hilarious interviews with Ramsey — who absolutely exemplifies why if you see something, you should say something — has somewhat distracted from the very serious news story, that these three women had been held captive for a decade, and that their discovery, release and relative good health considering the circumstances is nothing short of a miracle. Now, more details are emerging about the horrifying conditions these three women – Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight — withstood while allegedly imprisoned by three brothers, Ariel Castro, Pedro Castro, and Onil Castro. The Castro brothers are expected to be formally charged today.
In an interview with USA Today, Khalid Samad, a former assistant safety director for the city who now works for a crime prevention non-profit, said that law enforcement officials told him that they found chains in the house, which they believe the women were attached to for long periods of time, and that the women were beaten while pregnant, all but one of the unborn children not surviving. Amanda Berry was rescued along with her daughter Jocelyn, 6, whose biological father is allegedly one of the Castro brothers.
These conditions are especially upsetting as neighbors come forward and allege that they actually called police a number of times over the years after seeing “suspicious” activity at the Castro house. According to neighbors, several years ago, a naked woman was seen crawling on her hands and knees in the back yard. “But [police]  didn’t take it seriously,” neighbor Elsie Cintron 3m360In 2011, pounding was heard on the doors. When the police showed up, said neighbor Israel Lugo, “they walked to the side of the house and then left.” However, Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson contradicts what neighbors are telling reporters and said that law enforcement officials “have no indication that any of the neighbors, bystanders, witnesses or anyone else has ever called regarding any information regarding activity that occurred at that house.”
But police had visited the Castro house before. City officials said children and family services investigators had gone to the home in January 2004 — after Knight and Berry had disappeared, but three months before DeJesus went missing — because Ariel Castro had left a child on a school bus. “They knocked on the door but were unsuccessful in connection with making any contact with anyone inside that home,” Jackson said. There’s no further information about what other steps, if any, were taken by police to speak with Ariel Castro.
According to the Washington Postofficials are, for now, declining to reveal details about what went on in the Castro house during the 10 years the women were missing, and say they are proceeding cautiously in their interviews with Berry, DeJesus and Knight, using a specially trained FBI team “so as to spare them the trauma of reliving their captivity.”

Neil Heslin, who has lobbied Congress and the Connecticut legislature for increased gun control in the wake of the shooting, faces charges dating back to July 2011. Three of them involve allegations he issued bad checks to purchase building materials for his construction company.

Neil Heslin, center, whose 6-year-old son Jesse was killed in the mass shooting in Newtown, Conn., arrives with other victims' families to meet privately with senators on Capitol Hill in Washington.
A man whose 6-year-old son was among those killed in the Newtown, Conn., elementary school massacre was scheduled to appear in Connecticut Superior Court Wednesday on larceny and other charges.Neil Heslin, who has lobbied Congress and the Connecticut legislature for increased gun control in the wake of the shooting, had five separate cases listed on the docket in Milford Superior Court. The News-Times of Danbury reports Heslin faces charges that date back to July 2011, three of which involve allegations he issued bad checks to purchase building materials for his construction company.RELATED: FAMILIES OF NEWTOWN SHOOTING VICTIMS JUGGLE ACTIVISM, GUN-CONTROL FIGHT AS THEY CONTINUE TO GRIEVEThe two other cases involve checks on closed accounts that Heslin allegedly used to pay for just over $1,000 worth of home heating oil in June 2012 and a check for $102.35 worth of repairs to his vehicle at an Ansonia tire shop six months earlier, the newspaper reported.Heslin, who has pleaded not guilty to all the charges, referred questions about the case to his attorneys, who did not immediately return calls seeking comment.Heslin’s son, Jesse Lewis, was among 26 people shot to death inside Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14.RELATED: ‘WHY AREN’T THEY PROTECTING US:’ NEWTOWN FAMILY MEMBERS PUSH BACK AGAINST SPINELESS SENATORS WHO ALLOWED GUN CONTROL TO FAILSince then, Heslin has been among the most visible of the Sandy Hook parents lobbying for gun restrictions, including an appearance in Washington that apparently resulted in him missing a recent court date.Superior Court Judge Frank Iannotti has ordered Heslin to explain Wednesday why he was not in court on April 15.Heslin was part of a contingent from Newtown that was meeting with U.S. senators that week, asking them to pass legislation that would have included universal background checks for gun purchases.Heslin was asked by the News-Times if he thought his legal troubles might undermine his advocacy efforts.“I never gave it much thought. TIRED OF MISSIONARY POSITION?WELL HERE ARE SOME EROTIC SEX POSITIONS THAT WILL LEAVE YOU SPEECHLESS!

library sex
Believe it or not, spicing up your sex life can be as simple as changing positions. Why not think outside the box? A turn here or a twist there can actually make all the difference in the world. If your sex life needs a boost, here are some alternative positions you can try that don’t require you to be as flexible as an acrobat.
SIDEWAYS SEX
How about sideways sex? In this position, the woman is in control, making it more exciting. To accomplish this move properly, the man lies down on his side with his legs apart and knees bent. Then the woman positions herself at a right angle.
With her hands at the man’s leg and chest, she rocks back and forth, controlling the movement until she finds the right spot. It takes some wiggling and can take a while to get the positions just right. But why not enjoy the ride?
FACE TO FACE
Face to face is also a great position to learn because you are, as the name implies, face-to-face with your partner, making for a more intimate encounter. It’s also good if you’re in the mood for slow sex. To give this position a shot, sit on opposite sides of each other. Take a seat on top of him after sliding into his lap. Your legs go behind him, like a cradle.
Then you just rock back and forth until you get an orgasm, which may likely happen simultaneously in this position. Although great for romantics, this position may be too slow for some people.
REVERSE COWGIRL
Reverse cowgirl is a position that men — and women — really go wild for as well. The man lies on his back with his legs on the bed over the edge of the bed. You get on top, facing away from your man. Similar to doggy-style, the man enters from behind. Rock back and forth until he  the right spot.
This position is excellent for hitting the G-spot without too much time and effort, as the woman controls the speed and movement. If you’re up for something , the cowgirl is definitely the way to go. Keep in mind that some people aren’t up for the ride as there is no face-to-face contact.
SPIDER
Become a spider man — and woman. Facing opposite each other, both partners lie down and bring up their knees as the man enters the woman. Then all you need to do is wiggle, and if you do it nice and slow, it can last a long time. Although great for those who are tired but want long-lasting sex without much effort, some people might get bored.
SPOON SPLIT
The Spoon Split is a position that makes many women feel naughty. From a spooning position, the man takes the woman’s top leg and drapes it across his. This makes the hips widen, allowing the man to go in deep and easily access the woman’s clitoris. Women usually love this position, as it’s naughty and intimate at the same time, great for women who like it a little wild.
STANDING RHYTHM
Standing Rhythm is a position that many men (and some women) fantasize about. It involves the woman bending over a couch (or table or other object of similar height) as she spreads her legs. It’s easy for the man to thrust deeply from this position and the intensity is kicked up a notch if the man rotates the woman’s hips. A naughty but exciting position to try when the moment strikes.
SLIPPERY NIPPLE
A slight twist to the standard missionary position, the Slippery Nipple allows the woman to lie there, but the man has his hands free and does all the work. What woman wouldn’t like that? As the man sits upright, the woman lies on her back and puts her legs on his chest, resting feet on his shoulders. The man does the work, while the woman enjoys herself. The man also has his hands free, so he can touch the woman however he pleases. The position is good if you want to shake up your normal sex routine a little, but not too much.
MAGIC BULLET
The Magic Bullet is a great position for women because it allows your man to hit your G-spot quickly. As the woman lies on her back with her legs straight up in the air, the man kneels across from her and enters. This position is great for guys because  can use their hands to move your legs closer to feel fuller inside the woman
He can also touch the woman however he likes. Although a good position for lazy women, it may be boring for more adventurous types. Plus, your legs become achy if they’re up in the air too long.
THE PERFECT SPREAD
A slight alternative to the woman on top, this sex position has the woman assume the same position, but with her legs spread as wide as possible. Then, with her hands on the man’s chest, she rocks back and forth. The spreading of the legs works well because it allows for deeper penetration, which will benefit both the man and the woman.
However, it helps to be fairly limber in order to pull off this sexy stunt. Stretching for so long can make your legs sore after awhile. For the woman who likes to be in control, this is the go-to position.
DIRTY
Dirty Dancing is similar to sex while standing, but instead relies on the man to lean back on a wall. The man faces the woman and holds her. The woman wraps her legs  the man and they rock together.
This position is great for both partners, as the closeness feels extremely intimate. Also the man can easily access the woman’s breasts and the woman can control the penetration. This is a good position for a quickie, but it can be a difficult to maneuver if the man has trouble keeping steady, has no  or if you have a substantial difference in height.
After awhile, the missionary position can feel more like work than play. Variety is the spice of life, and it’s no different . So why spice up your sex life with one of these new positions? We’re betting you’ll quickly find a new favorite

Youths Protest Ekiti Varsity Student Murder

Scores of youths, mainly students, yesterday, staged a protest at Ilupeju Ekiti over the killing of 400 level student of Ekiti State University, Mr. Seyi Fasere.

Fasere was killed in controversial circumstances in February 28, in Oye Ekiti by the police after some armed bandits struck at a first generation bank in the town.
During the protest, commercial and social activities were paralysed, as the youths sealed off all the public and private schools in the town, and commercial centres for the over eight hours that the protest lasted.
The aggrieved youths, who had trooped out as early 7am, were said to have engaged the police in serious battle, while being tear-gassed, which culminated in a stampede that led to the hospitalisation of one Deji Omoniyi.
During the protest, the youths blocked the Ifaki-Lokoja Highway, thereby disrupting human and vehicular movements along the axis.

P-Square Star’s Paternity Dispute: “London Baby” His First Child, Says Family Source

Elshamah Igbanoi and P-Square's Paul Okoye photographed together at a show

The paternity controversy between Nigerian music star and entertainer, P-2 (real name Paul Okoye), and a beauty pageant contestant and model, Elshamah Igbanoi, has taken a new twist. 3m360 first broke the news that Ms. Elshamah was stuck in London over unpaid maternity bills after giving birth to a baby boy she said was fathered by Paul.
A close relative of Mr. Okoye’s has contacted 3m360 and asserted that the baby born by Ms. Elshamah Igbanoi, a former Miss Plateau State, is in fact the musician-entertainer’s first child. A few weeks ago, P-Square had thrown a party in Atlanta, Georgia to welcome another baby born by a different lover of his.
Our initial report about the musician’s paternity dispute with the former Miss Plateau went viral. However, Mr. Paul Okoye has kept mum, even though some blogs reported that his public relations claimed that the paternity report was a “hoax” and even an “April Fools’ joke.”
A family source close to Mr. Okoye, known as “P-2” in the hip-hop musical duo P-Square, said the music artist was aware of Ms. Igbanoi’s pregnancy for him about the same time another lady, Anita, became pregnant for him. The source disclosed that the baby born in London is in fact Mr. Okoye’s first son, since he was born on April 7, 2013, three days before Anita delivered another baby in Atlanta on April 10, 2013.
However, while P-2 was in Atlanta to announce the birth of Anita’s son, he abandoned Ms. Igbanoi to her fate in the UK. In our earlier report, we disclosed that the beauty pageant contestant’s hospital bills of more than 5000 pounds sterling were yet to be paid. We also reported that Ms. Igbanoi had received several demands for payment from Queen Charlotte and Chelsea Hospital on Du Cane Road, London W12 0HS where her baby was born.
3m360 obtained several photographs indicating that Ms. Elshamah Igbanoi attended the burial of P-2’s mother on August 2, 2012 while she was already pregnant for him.
The family source lamented that Paul and his team members were out to portray Elshama as a groupie who was after the musician’s fame and wealth. “We know her to be a responsible lady who trusted Paul,” said the source. He added: “She had been with him since she was 17 years old.” Ms. Igbanoi is now 19 years old and third year law student at the University of Jos.
Elshama’s parents are successful lawyers in Nigeria, while she is a third year law student at the University of Jos.
Ms. Igbanoi is still in London and is now in an apartment with her new-born baby named Mishel Paul Okoye.

Boko Haram Onslaught on Bama: Two Soldiers, 22 policemen, 14 Prison Warders, 13 Terrorists Killed In Military Barracks Fight With PHOTOS

By SaharaReporters, New York
Military sources have told SaharaReporters that Tuesday’s unprecedented onslaught on Bama by suspected Boko Haram terrorists resulted in the death of two soldiers and 13 of the invaders during the fight at the military barracks.
At the police barracks, a woman and two children were burnt to death, our sources said.
They also confirmed that 22 policemen were shot dead by the terrorists at the Divisional Police Station, and 14 prison officials killed at Bama Prison Station.
“The attack was repelled by soldiers on sentry a little distance from the Barrack’s Fence,” one of them said, appearing to be downplaying the severity of the incident at the military facility.
SaharaReporters had earlier been told by sources that security agencies were still counting the numbers of the dead, and that several police were killed in the attack in which the militants released as many as 150 prisoners in Bama Prison.  All the warders on duty were reported to have died.
SaharaReporters has also learned that the following structures were attacked and burnt:
·      The Police Area Command and Divisional Police Station;
·      Bama Prison Station;
·      Magistrate Court;
·      Primary Health Centre, and
·      Police/MOPOL Barracks
The following items were recovered: 3 AK 47 Rifles; 8 RPG launchers; 3 RPG Bombs, and eight magazines
Earlier today, security sources told SaharaReporters that today’s brazen attack on military, prison and police formations in Bama is perhaps the biggest undertaken by Boko Haram militants.
In an attack on Bama on April 26, suspected Boko Haram terrorists killed a Divisional Police Officer and scores of police officers.
Three days later, on April 29, a Boko Haram/JTF duel resulted in the death of 17 persons.  About 200 homes were reportedly burnt to the ground.

Lauryn Hill Sentenced To Three Months In Prison For Tax Evasion

Eight-time Grammy winning singer Lauryn Hill, second right, walks to federal court in Newark, N.J., Monday, May 6, 2013, for sentencing in her tax evasion case.Eight-time Grammy winning singer Lauryn Hill, second right, walks to federal court in Newark, N.J., Monday, May 6, 2013, for sentencing in her tax evasion case.
Eight-time Grammy winning singer Lauryn Hill, seen here as she walkeds to federal court in Newark, N.J., on Monday was sentenced to three months in prison
Grammy-winning singer Lauryn Hill stood in federal court Monday and compared her experience in the music business to the slavery her ancestors endured before a judge sentenced her to three months in prison for failing to pay about $1 million in taxes over the past decade.
'I am a child of former slaves who had a system imposed on them,' Hill said before U.S. Magistrate Madeline Cox Arleo. 'I had an economic system imposed on me.'
Hill, who started singing with the Fugees as a teenager in the 1990s before releasing her multiplatinum 1998 album 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,' pleaded guilty last year to failing to pay taxes on more than $1.8 million earned from 2005 to 2007.
Monday's sentencing also took into account unpaid state and federal taxes in 2008 and 2009 that brought the total earnings to about $2.3 million.
Despite having paid more than $900,000 in the past several days, Hill still owes interest and penalties, the U.S. attorney's office said.
In a forceful but controlled statement to the judge punctuated by occasional raps with her first on the podium, Hill described how she failed to pay taxes during a period when she'd dropped out of the music business to protect herself and her children, who now number six.
She said the treatment she received while she was in the entertainment business led to her decision to leave it.
'There were veiled threats, there was blacklisting,' she said, without giving specifics.
'I was told, "That's how it goes, it comes with the territory." I came to be perceived as a cash cow and not a person. When people capitalize on a persona, they forget there is a person in there.'
In addition to serving three months in prison, Hill must pay a $60,000 fine. After she is released from prison, she will be under parole supervision for a year, the first three months of which will be spent under home confinement.
The 37-year-old South Orange resident had faced a maximum sentence of one year each on three counts of failing to file taxes. Her attorney had sought probation, arguing that Hill's charitable works, her family circumstances and the fact she paid back the taxes she owed should merit consideration.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Sandra Moser acknowledged Hill's creative talent and work on behalf of impoverished children but called Hill's explanation for her actions 'a parade of excuses centering around her feeling put upon' that don't exempt her from her responsibilities.
'She wasn't interested in all those years in paying what she owed,' Moser told the judge.
At the time of her arrest last year, Hill wrote a criticism rejecting pop culture's 'climate of hostility, false entitlement, manipulation, racial prejudice, sexism and ageism.'
'Over-commercialization and its resulting restrictions and limitations can be very damaging and distorting to the inherent nature of the individual,' Hill wrote.
'I did not deliberately abandon my fans, nor did I deliberately abandon any responsibilities, but I did however put my safety, health and freedom and the freedom, safety and health of my family first over all other material concerns! I also embraced my right to resist a system intentionally opposing my right to whole and integral survival.'
Hill is to report to prison by July 8.
It's not clear where she'll serve her sentence. She didn't comment after the sentencing.
She said in a recent post online that she has signed a recording contract with Sony.
'She is looking forward to putting her case behind her and getting back to her music and creating again,' attorney Nathan Hochman said.
Hill has a lot of mouths to feed back home. She has five children with Rohan Marley, son of Bob, and a sixth with another man.

And oh, If you are a fan of Lauryn, she released a new single titled 'Neurotic society' a few days ago.
Lauryn through the song resounds her musical dexterity, reminding fans why they fell in love with her years back.
Neurotic society in typical Lauryn style is conscious music. Sick Jam.

Chris Brown escapes plane crash as private jet makes emergency landing

0507_chris_brown_chaos_to_couture_getty
A private jet carrying Chris Brown was forced to make an emergency landing in Burbank yesterday after the cockpit filled with smoke after takeoff … TMZ has learned.
We’ve confirmed … Brown boarded a Gulfstream 3 jet in Burbank and was headed for Teterboro, NJ … so he could attend the Met Gala event.
But sources tell us … roughly 7 to 8 minutes into the flight, everyone on board began to notice smoke filling the plane.
One source told us, “It was A LOT of smoke … everywhere.”
The pilot immediately turned the plane around and performed an emergency landing back at Burbank airport.
We’re told the passengers were scared … but the pilot was cool, calm and collected … and couldn’t have handled the situation better.
Here’s the crazy part — after the plane touched down, Brown decided he STILL wanted to get to the Met Gala event in NY … and boarded ANOTHER private jet within an hour of touching down.
Brown eventually made it to Teterboro … but he didn’t make the Met Gala event. However, he DID make it to an after-party, where he arrived with a smile (see picture above).
Question is … would YOU get back on a plane after an emergency landing?

Police Arraign Canadian For Allegedly Scamming Woman Of N15 Million

The police on Tuesday arraigned a Canadian, Jim Mansfield, at a Wuse Zone 2 Senior Magistrates’ Court for allegedly cheating one Hajiya Binta Muktar of N15 million.
The prosecutor, Tope Falode, told the court that Muktar reported the matter to the Interpol on May 2012.
Falode said that in May 2012, Muktar leased her house located at No 3, Udi-Hill Close, Aso Drive, to Mansfield with an agreement that he should pay N15 million into her account.
However, he said, Mansfield fraudulently possessed the said house and refused to credit Muktar’s account.
The prosecutor added that the accused, in July 2012, presented forged documents from Wells Faruo Bank to Muktar, claiming to have deposited the said sum into her account, an offence which contravened sections 312, 321 and 368 of the Penal Code.
Section 312 of the code states that whoever commits criminal breach of trust shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years or fined or both.
Section 368 states that whoever has in his possession any forged document shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 14 years and shall also be liable to fine.
However, Mansfield, pleaded not guilty to the charges as his Counsel, Mr David Ashaolu, prayed the court to grant bail on liberal terms.
Ashaolu said his client would not jump bail and would not jeopardise investigation in the case.
But the prosecutor objected the bail of the accused, and said, “the accused is not a Nigerian and he is likely to jump bail”.
The prosecutor also alleged that the accused had two different passports bearing two different names.
“The accused has a Canadian passport bearing the name Jim Mansfiled and a UK passport with the name James Michael Mansfiled.’’
The Senior Magistrate, Mr Tony Ubani, granted the accused bail in the sum of N5 million with two sureties in like sum.
He said one of the sureties must be a civil servant of not less than Grade Level 13 and must be living within the court’s jurisdiction.
He said the civil servant must deposit the original copies of his employment and last promotion letter and bank statement of account for the last three months in the court.
The second surety should be reasonable and swear to an affidavit of having not less than N2 million in his account.
Ubani then adjourned the matter to May 20 for hearing.

Soldier Attached To Presidential Aide Shoots Youth At Ijaw Youth Congress Gathering

soldier attached to Kingsley Kuku, an aide of President Goodluck Jonathan and Chairman of Amnesty Implementation Committee on Saturday shot and injured a youth in Yenagoa, again prompting the question as to why presidential assistants are being giving military protection.
Kuku, who has been making overtures to Niger Delta militants ahead of the 2015 re-election bid of President Jonathan, was in the Bayelsa State capital to attend the convention of the Ijaw Youth Congress (IYC) with the agenda of influencing the leadership of the youth body.  This is despite the fact the Mr. Jonathan says he has not decided whether he will run, and that he has not asked anybody to do any 2015 work for him.
Some of the youths, who were opposed to Kuku’s meddlesomeness in their meeting, became agitated and their protest became rowdy.
The soldier reportedly shot to restore calm but the bullets hit 26-year old Edolo Bouepre, a delegate from Sagbama Local Government Area.
The mishap incurred public outrage and condemnation, and Kuku hurriedly left town and returned to Abuja.
The leadership of the Civil Liberty Organisation (CLO) in Bayelsa has pledged assistance to Bouepre. State Chairman Nengi James, who visited the victim at the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, made a donation of N50,000 to assist with his medical bills.
James announced that the CLO would also offer legal assistance to Bouepre to enable him seek legal redress over the unprofessional conduct of the soldier.
"The CLO is not happy over the state of the victim. We are ready to sue the Nigerian Army and the Joint Military Task Force over the show of wickedness by its trigger happy officer,” he said, stressing out that the incident could have triggered violence in the state and the region,” which is already dealing with different forms of violence.
“We urge the Bayelsa State Government and the past Leaders of the IYC to assist this victim who is a member of the Ijaw Youth Council and was at the event legitimately,” James said.
Bouepre, thanked the CLO for its show of love and brotherliness, appealing to Nigerians to help him to offset his medical bills.
He said that he was outside the meeting hall due to the rowdiness inside, when the soldier ran outside the hall and shot to the ground, with the bullet deflecting to hit him in the stomach.
“I felt a sharp pain under some seconds, and saw my blood gushing out. I don't want to die from this gunshot wound," he begged.
Sources in the Joint Task Force told SaharaReporters today that its operatives had nothing to do with the IYC convention.
“There was no application from anybody and we did not deploy any soldier to the event, however our checks showed that the soldier was on the entourage of Chairman of the Amnesty Committee, Mr Kingsley Kuku who attended the convention from Abuja,” the source said.  “We have no links with Ijaw Youths, their internal affairs is not part of our mandate.”
