Cops investigating rapper who beat woman in viral video
Last month, 18-year-old rapper Lil Jojo, real name Joseph Coleman, was shot and killed as he rode his bicycle on the South side of Chicago.
The next day, another little known Chicago rapper named “Chief Keef” took to his Twitter page to mock the slain rapper’s passing.
“It’s sad cus Jojo wanted to be just like us #LMAO” he wrote in a tweet.
Police say Lil Jojo (pictured left) was linked to the Gangster Disciples street gang, which put him in the crosshairs of Chief Keef and his gang.
Lil Jojo’s death was believed to be the culmination of a running dispute between Coleman, Chief Keef and a gang banger/rapper named Lil Reese (pictured above).
Fast forward to Thursday, when a cell phone video showing a woman being savagely beaten by a rapper went viral online.
The rapper, it turns out, is the same Lil Reese who was under investigation for gunning down Lil Jojo.
In the video, Lil Reese and his GBE associates barged their way into a house party. “Who the f*ck let them in here in the first place?” the woman guarding the door asks. Words are exchanged and Reese threatens to shoot her. “They didn’t stop making guns when they made yours!” she responds.
An altercation ensued and Lil Reese hit the woman with a ferocity that was astonishing in its brutality.
The year old video surfaced on World Star Hip Hop yesterday, and social networking users who are normally immune to such violence against females responded with outrage.
Lil Reese was unmoved by the public indignation. Instead, like a typical sociopath, he directed his anger at the person who sent the video to Worldstar.
“The haters tryna see a mf Dwn lol Dey gotta b broke and bored wanna upload sum sh-t from years ago damnn we winnin it’s 2 late,” he wrote Thursday.
Ironically, Lil Reese is signed to Def Jam — the same record label that Rihanna is signed to, and the same record label that launched the career of rapper LL Cool J, who released an album titled Mama Said Knock You Out.
Mom turns in sons who murdered 12-year-old girl after reading a message on one son’s Facebook
Social networking giant Facebook played a role in catching the teenage killers of 12-year-old Autumn Pasquale. The mother of Justin and Dante Robinson alerted police after she read a message about Autumn on one son’s Facebook page. It isn’t clear what the message said.
Another Facebook message — this one from Autumn’s older brother, A.J. read: ‘I know u wont see this but I’m just letting u know that I am coming for u next time I see ur face or ur brother donte. I’m kicking ur asses.’
Police say Dante, 17, (left) and Justin, 15, (right) lured Autumn to their New Jersey home on Saturday under the pretense that they were trading BMX bike parts, Philly.com reports.
An autopsy revealed Autumn was beaten and strangled. She died from blunt force trauma to the head. There was no evidence of sexual assault.
Autumn’s body was recovered Monday in a blue recycling bin that was set out on the curb and scheduled for trash pick up on Tuesday.
Police obtained a warrant and searched the home of Dante and Justin. Police found Autumn’s BMX bike parts and the white BMX bike she was last seen riding around 12:30 p.m.
News of Autumn’s tragic death shook the residents of Clayton, New Jersey, who formed massive search parties and held candlelight vigils for the slain youngster when she was reported missing.
The two boys have been charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, disposing of a body, tampering with evidence and theft. They are being held without bond in a juvenile detention facility.
Woman runs over non-voting husband because Obama won election
A woman enraged that her husband didn’t vote in last week’s presidential elections, ran over him with the family Jeep on Saturday.
Witnesses told police that Holly Solomon, of Scottsdale, Arizona, chased her husband around a parking lot before gunning the gas and hitting him as the Jeep jumped a curb.
Solomon apparently believed her husband’s vote was the deciding factor in the close race.
From Politico.com:
Holly Solomon, 28, and her husband Daniel, 36, got into an argument on Saturday night over his failure to vote, news reports say. She then chased him around a parking lot in the Jeep, screaming, before hitting him as a he tried to run to a bigger street, witnesses told police, according to the report.
“The husband told investigators that Solomon believed her family was going to face hardship from President Barack Obama’s re-election,” CBS News reported.
He is in critical condition at a Scottsdale, Ariz. medical center, while she “was booked on an aggravated assault and domestic violence,” the report said.
Man survives after being hit by 16-ton truck
Lewis Godfrey: 'Without them I wouldn't be here today'
What happened to the 23-year-old has been described as a "modern-day miracle".
-
His body wrapped around the vehicle's rear tyres, breaking his ankle and shattering his pelvis.
The driver of the lorry was unaware he'd even hit anyone, and continued to drive, while Lewis's internal organs were torn out and strewn across the road.
The first medic to arrive at the scene said that when he examined Lewis, he was technically dead as his heart had stopped.
"He had already died at the scene. When I got there, I saw the most horrific injuries – he had been ripped open," said Dr Nicholas Foster, a GP from Kegworth who was working that night as a volunteer alongside paramedics. "The level of trauma was so massive he shouldn't have made it.
"I knew I had to stop the bleeding, so we put him back together and wrapped him up to keep him in one piece."
Although the accident happened in Loughborough, Lewis was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre under the hospital's new remit as a major trauma centre for the East Midlands.
The new centre at the hospital opened in April and the most seriously injured patients from across the region will, from now on, be brought to Nottingham, where they will be seen by dedicated teams of specialists.
Medics at the hospital estimate that the new centre will save around 60 lives a year – and Lewis is one of them.
On the way to the hospital his heart stopped twice, and during surgery he suffered two massive cardiac arrests because of the extensive blood loss.
Doctors and nurses were on the verge of pronouncing him dead and his family had been told to expect the worst.
Lewis, of Kings Avenue, Loughborough, said: "It has taken a while for everything to sink in. Sometimes I can't believe I'm here."
Part of the reason Lewis was brought to Nottingham is because the new trauma centre offers specialist care in a number of different areas all under one roof.
Lewis needed to have neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery as well as general surgery – all of which the hospital specialises in.
On the night he was admitted to the QMC he was operated on by surgeon, Mr Daren Forward.
Mr Forward said: "When he came in it was clear he'd been crushed under a lorry. He had a bleed in his head, with a substantial head injury.
"The skin had essentially been ripped off his body in a band about a foot wide. His bowel had been damaged and his bladder ripped off."
Lewis's dad, Graham Godfrey, 48, said: "We were allowed to see Lewis very briefly. The trauma team stood back, they draped a sheet over him and I just held his hand for a bit, and whispered in his ear to keep fighting.
"I counted at least 12 tubes in him, and he had a huge bandage on his head for the swelling."
After the initial life-saving surgery, Lewis remained in a hospital bed for eight-and-a-half weeks without moving.
And today, the Virgin Media Services technician bears the scars of that fateful day. He had to have part of his skull removed during one operation.
"I was very self-conscious about it, and it meant I had to wear a cap all the time," he said.
But his recovery has, according to Mr Forward, been remarkable.
He was told he'd never walk again – he has. And his parents were told his brain might be damaged because his heart stopped for so long – it isn't.
Lewis said: "It has taken a while to get my head around. I don't remember anything from when I was in intensive care. When I started to get a bit better my dad would come and see me and every day he would tell me a little piece of information about what happened to me. It's quite overwhelming."
Last week Lewis, who has been in a relationship with his girlfriend for the past four-and-a-half years, went on the operating table once more to have a titanium plate put into his head to give it a more rounded appearance.
His father said: "We owe so much to that hospital – the fact he is here at all after what he's been through is a modern-day miracle."
Since the new centre opened, the hospital has seen 215 major trauma patients. It expects to see 500 such patients a year, although this will increase to 900 by 2015.
Two men have been charged with grievous bodily harm and one man with affray in connection with the incident which ended with Mr Godfrey sustaining his injuries. They are due to appear at Leicester Crown Court on December 5.
Woman bites off another woman’s Nipple
Iron Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight boxing champion entered the book of infamy when in a fit of anger, grabbed the ears of rival, Evander Holyfield and chopped off some cartilage off with his teeth, spitting it on the floor.
In Nigeria, a 28-year-old woman, Anastasia Uche of Kurudu, Abuja, has also entered the record books for biting off a fellow woman’s nipples during an argument.
Anastasia has been charged before the Karu Magistrate court in the suburbs of Nigeria’s capital of Abuja, according to Nigeria’s News Agency. The police prosecutor, Cpl. Pascal Njoku, told the court that Anastasia bit Hauwa Musa on the right breast and severed the nipple, thereby causing grievous hurt to Hauwa.
Njoku said that the offence contravened Section 241 of the Penal Code.
The accused pleaded not guilty and her counsel, Mr Michael Ejeh, applied for bail for her.
Magistrate Christopher Oba told both the complainant and the accused to explore the possibility of resolving the matter, saying: “Nobody benefits from trouble.’’
“I will advise that both parties in this matter should sit down and explore the possibility of resolving this matter,’’ he said.
He, therefore, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N50,000, about $330 and a surety in the like sum.
“The surety must have a reasonable means of livelihood and a traceable address within the jurisdiction of this court,’’ he ruled.
The magistrate adjourned the case to 21 November for hearing, if both parties failed to resolve the matter.
You wonder what they will resolve: will the nipple be re-attached Hauwa’s breast?
Motor bike bandits attack Bureau de Change
There was pandemonium on Tuesday at the WAPA Bureau De Change in Fagge area of Kano, northwest Nigeria when gunmen suspected to be armed robbers stormed the market on four motor bikes, killing one person and injuring many.
They also carted away an unspecified sums of money in local and foreign currencies.
Tuesday’s attack followed another incident at Kawu area of the city during which a young barber was killed, and two persons wounded.
Security agencies believe Tuesday’s attack on WAPA money market could be an insider’s job.
Though details of the raid were sketchy as at press time, P.M.NEWS was reliably informed that prior to this attack on the Bureau De Change, security in the environment had been high, until leaders of the Fagge Bureau De Change Association reportedly wrote to the Police authorities, demanding the withdrawal of the Mobile Police men that had been on duty around the area on the grounds that their presence constituted an impediment to their business.
The state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Idris, also confirmed the request for the withdrawal of his men by the market association, adding that it was done in writing.
He said no fewer than 15 armed Mobile Police men were on duty at the Fagge Bureau De Change, until they were asked to be withdrawn. He added that he succumbed to their request because the WAPA environment was not a convention business place, but more of living homes, especially when a women was said to have lost her pregnancy on sighting the armed men.
According to eyewitness account, the suspected robbers stormed the Bureau De Change in four motor-bikes which they used through the narrow path-ways, adding that the motorcycles were brought by a truck which stopped at one point around the area as a result of the narrow passage, and at that point, the motor bikes were put into use, while one car with which they fled was on stand-by in an obscure place.
The state Commissioner of Police added that a full-scale investigation has been launched to unravel the mystery surrounding the operation.
What The Heck Is Kim Kardashian Wearing?
Have you also been asking yourself what happened Kim Kardashian’s fabolous fashion sense since she started dated Kanye West?
When it comes to fashion, Kim K was building a brand name but all of a sudden, she has dropped to the bottom as her recent appearances have been nothing to talk about.
Just recently, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were spotted in London doing a dinner. Wearing a velvet, one-piece jumpsuit, slicked back bun, and finished the look with some Christian Louboutin pumps on her feet, Kim Kardashian failed to pull fashion together again-considering the fashion icon she claims to be (and Kanye’s stand in fashion).

landlord’s son hacks tenant to death in Ogun State
A middle-aged man, Akinyemi Oguntula, was on Sunday allegedly hacked to death in Onigbedu, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.
But before he was killed, Oguntula had had a disagreement with his landlord’s son, Bankole Soderu.
Oguntula, an employee of a chemical company in the area who was also
popularly known as pastor, was allegedly matcheted to death in the early
hours of Sunday by unknown persons.
Our correspondent
gathered that the deceased had earlier confronted his landlord, Mr.
Sunday Soderu, over the alleged smoking of Indian hemp in the house by
some non-residents.
Following the disagreement between them, Soderu was said to have reported Oguntula to the traditional ruler of the community, Oba Michael Ajibulu, who was said to have summoned the deceased to his palace.
A resident, who pleaded anonymity, however, said they heard the
deceased sudden cries for help in the middle of the night but no one
could come to his rescue at that time.
He said that they later discovered that Oguntula whose body was dealt several machete blows had been killed.
Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Police Command Public
Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said that the landlord and his son
had been arrested over the alleged killing of Oguntula.
Adejobi, an assistant superintendent of police, added that both
father and son were now being interrogated by the operatives of the
Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
He said as soon as investigations were concluded, the landlord and his son would be charged to court as soon as investigations had been concluded.

Kanye, Rihanna, Beyonce...Coincidence Or Proof Of Iluminatti Membership?
Recently, Rihanna was sited wearing a crop top with the "all seeing eye" or "eye of Horus"drawn over a pyramid, a symbol synonymous with the Iluminatti. Not long afterwards, Kanye, wore a baggy pants which also had the "ram-head" or "head of Baphometh" on it, and other Illuminati related symbols.
Joining the pack now is Beyonce, who recently posted a picture of her self on tumblr, wearing shoes with the "all seeing eye" symbol. Are these people trying to tell us something or it is just sheer coincidence? What are your thoughts on the Illuminati conspiracies?

Mother Sells Her 13-Year-Old Daughter As Sex Slave For N650
Western Cape police are hunting a mom who allegedly sold her 13-year-old daughter as a sex slave for just US$4 a time.
The woman allegedly regularly took her little girl to bushes or outside shebeens and rented her out to men. She allegedly used the money to feed her own alcohol addiction as her little one was being raped.
The alleged abuse only came to light when the girl told one of her friends who in turn alerted their teacher. The girl is now being cared for at a shelter run by Atlantis ward councillor and abuse councillor Barbara Rass.
"I have to applaud the teacher, the silence was broken. It seems everyone knew what was going on but no one protected her… no one intervened at any point. If she didn't tell her friend and that teacher, this would have been continuing," Rass said.
On Monday, a case was formally opened with the police who are investigating a case of rape and child prostitution.
Rass – who has 35 years experience serving the community and fighting on behalf of victims of sex attacks was close to tears as she spoke of the horrific case. She said the teen told her how her mother would allegedly lure her to shebeens to have sex with old men.
"The mother would take her to the shebeen yard and say 'here is a man for you'. Or she would give her a chocolate and say 'En hier is vir jou 'n man [and here is a man for you]'. She had to go into bushes with the men while her mother would always be drinking," said Barbara.
When the Daily Voice team visited the isolated scene on Tuesday, children as young as five were walking around aimlessly and without parental guidance. Waste removal trucks chugged along the main dusty road leading out of the area which is surrounded by bush and shacks.
The traumatised teen finally ended up in the care of the police last week. But she did not disclose the abuse she has been forced to endure until she met Rass.
"She didn't want to open up and the last person who raped her was a Xhosa man. She didn't want to undress or speak, then she told me what had happened," the councillor added.
The young girl on Tuesday spoke – in the presence of her temporary guardians about the abuse she has suffered. Her skeletal frame and dark eyes hint at the awful pain she has endured. She fidgeted nervously as she revealed that she lived with her mom and stepfather, who frequently called her foul names.
"Ons het op die plaas gebly, op die tip [we lived on the farm, at the dump site]. We lived inside a hokkie (We lived in a shack)," she said as she clutched a doll. She said her stepfather called her names.
Local community leaders are demanding the arrest of the girl's mom. And they want her to point out all the perverts that paid her to have sex with her underage child.
Police sources confirmed they are hunting for the girl's mother. They are also drawing up a list of the names of the girl's alleged attackers, but so far no arrests have been made.
"The mother must be arrested and she must point out to police the men she sold her daughter to. I feel no mercy should be given to mothers who sell their own offspring. The court should deal with her like they would deal with someone who had underage sex with a minor. She was being sold for R50, this is disgusting. I want the mother to be exposed," Rass said.
Until then, Barbara's main concern is to keep the girl safe from further abuse. Police spokesman Warrant Officer November Filander confirmed that a case of rape has been opened as they hunt for the girl's mother.
"The allegations of the mother accepting money for the sex attacks is being investigated. The child is in a place of safety," he said.

'Skyfall': One of the best Bond films ever?
At 50, the "James Bond" franchise is looking
devilishly youthful thanks to "Skyfall," which sees Daniel Craig return
for a third time as 007.
The Sam Mendes-directed feature is already making a killing overseas, causing industry observers to salivate over how it could perform in the States this weekend. According to Exhibitor Relations Co., the 23rd Bond film has crossed $320 million internationally since it opened October 26, and it's now the U.K.'s highest-grossing film of the year. The film's reception has also been mostly positive - there are already rumblings of whether the Academy will take notice for Oscar season, and former Bond Sir Roger Moore thinks of it "as the best Bond ever made".
Joined by Judi Dench as M and Ben Whishaw as Agent Q, "Skyfall" sees Bond face off against Javier Bardem's satisfyingly outlandish villain, Silva. The cast - along with director Mendes, screenwriters Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan, and cinematographer Roger Deakins - has won over a vast number of critics, although there's a handful who are giving McKayla Maroney a run for her money.
"How do you make a 50-year-old film franchise new again? By letting it feel its age," said People magazine's review. "With wry geriatric jokes, a plot that strikes 007 right where he lives and even some throwback gadgets, 'Skyfall' gives James Bond a delightfully retro reboot."
"If 'Skyfall' is the new 50, James Bond is handling it remarkably well," said the L.A. Times. "Sam Mendes ... has upped the ante, the action and the artistry in 'Skyfall' without losing all the defining traits we've come to expect — and need — from Bond."
Variety thought this Bond entry puts "the 'intelligence' in MI6" as a "smart, savvy and incredibly satisfying addition to the 007 oeuvre," while Roger Ebert complimented, "'Skyfall' triumphantly reinvents 007 in one of the best Bonds ever ... If you haven't seen a 007 for years, this is the time to jump back in."
With so much positive pre-release buzz, the million dollar question is just how far "Skyfall" could go at the box office. ERC is pegging it at a $75 million-plus opening weekend, setting "Skyfall" on track to become the first Bond film to cross $600 million worldwide.
What do you think - is "Skyfall" as great as they say, or simply over-hyped?
100-Level Female Student Of University Of Ibadan Drinks Bleach After Boyfriend Jilted Her
A 100 Level female student of University of Ibadan drank
a poisonous substance called Hypo Bleach after her boyfriend jilted
her. The student was reported to have drank the bleach after her
boyfriend, a student of the same University, ended the relationship
between them.
Here is how Tribune is reporting it:
Dumped by her boyfriend, a student of the University of Ibadan (UI), drank bleach in anger.
The 100- Level student in the
Faculty of Arts was said to have taken the solution, a product called
Hypo, on Sunday when her lover, a student of the same university, told
her it was over between them.
Students of the university are currently writing their second semester examination which began about two weeks ago and will be concluded by the end of this month.
Nigerian Tribune gathered from campus source that the lady was rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, to save her from dying.
It was learnt further that the news of a serious damage to her kidney had spread on the campus.
A singing sensation on campus was
said to have quickly waxed a hip hop lyric entitled “Hypo Love” to teach
other students, especially ladies, the morals of the incident.
A source within the university said the lady is now fit and back in school after the poison was flushed out of her system at the institution’s Jaja Clinic.
However, he could not confirm why
the lady decided to take the bleach as investigation into the matter was
still ongoing as of press time.
We are thankful that she didn’t die
as a result of her action and we hope this serves as a lesson to other
young ladies not to make decisions which might have deadly consequences
in such situations.
30 Nigerian Girls Trafficked Into Mali Daily – Envoy
An average of 30 Nigerian girls are
being trafficked into Mali daily, the Nigerian Ambassador to the West
African country, Mr. Iliya Nuhu, said on Sunday.
According to him, the girls are between the ages of 10 and 15.
Nuhu, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria in Bamako, lamented that the problem had grown in “magnitude and sophistication’’.
The envoy said the practice was a “kind of modern day slavery’’ with Nigerians going to their villages or towns to recruit young girls.
He said the traffickers were taking advantage of Nigeria’s economic problems to lure their victims with promises of setting them up in “very lucrative businesses abroad’’.
Nuhu said, “These people (traffickers) tell them about businesses which are not there and these girls, with very loose parental upbringing, fall for their tricks.
“They go to Nigeria to source these girls and sell them off to their cronies not only in Mali but in other countries; but we are able to work in cooperation with these countries to map out the routes the traffickers follow.
“Since August, we have assisted not less than 30 of these girls to return to the country and this is a daily routine that the embassy and the staff go through.
“From what I gathered from the Nigerian community in Mali, an average of 20 to 30 girls are being trafficked into this country every day and those we get are those who raise the alarm.’’
He said the embassy was working with the Malian police to identify the traffickers, adding that he had written a memo to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, to work out a strategy to solve the problem.
He said, “We, however, call on the Federal Government to work with NAPTIP or take appraisal of what they are doing and see if there are gaps to be filled so that they can have the capacity to do this job.
“NAPTIP also should be able to have the necessary information through their own network to be able to follow up these routes and study the mode of operation of the traffickers and beat them to it.’’
NAN spoke to two of four girls rescued from the traffickers.
Joy Monday, a hairdresser, said a woman came to her hometown, Auchi, Edo, to lure her to Mali.
She said, “The woman told me that I can make between N5,000 and N7,000 fixing one person’s hair in Mali only to discover on getting here that I am to be a prostitute and I was rescued by a man who brought me to the embassy.”
Another victim, Chidinma Ubah, said a man called Sunny, brought her to Mali, promising her that he was taking her to Europe.
She said she sought refuge in a police station when she discovered that she was to be a prostitute.
Nuhu said arrangements were being made to return the girls to Nigeria.
