Attorney for alleged John Travolta harassment victim was sued by actor Verne Troyer over sex tape

The John Does versus John Travolta sexual harassment lawsuit scandal has taken a strange new twist.
John Doe number one, who filed the first suit against the prominent actor in Los Angeles last week, was dropped as a client by attorney Okorie Okorocha. The shake-up came after the anonymous plaintiff admitted he “got the date wrong,” having alleged Travolta acted inappropriately during a massage in the Beverly Hills area on January 16. However, Travolta’s camp was able to provide evidence that he was in New York on that date.
John Doe one also released a statement to RadarOnline.com earlier last week, wishing Travolta and his counsel “good health and happiness.”
"Okorocha did not feel he could represent John Doe number one going forward anymore and recommend him finding another lawyer," a source told RadarOnline with regards to the severed lawyer/client relationship. "He is still representing John Doe number two and other alleged victims who are possibly coming forward."
Okorocha told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column the reason he dropped the unidentified masseuse was due to “a conflict of interest with two clients.”
But it seems Okorocha has been caught on the other end of a sex-related lawsuit scandal of his own.
In July 2008, “Austin Powers” star Verne Troyer filed a lawsuit against two women Renae Shrider and Holly Bannon, as well as Okorocha, who he claimed was working with Bannon and “acting as a broker to exploit” and sell a sex tape between the “Mini Me” character and his ex-girlfriend, Shrider.
At the time, he told the Associated Press that he had never seen the tape and simply tried to negotiate a deal between Troyer and a client who has since dropped him. The case was later dismissed for failure to prosecute, however Troyer was previously successful in having the sex tape blocked from release.
“Hard to recall what happened, but I think he wanted to tape back and I never had it,” Okorocha told us. “I am positive they found out who had the tape and it was not me.”
Lawyers for Troyer did not respond to a request for comment.
However, it seems the Travolta suit may get ugly not only when it comes to the plaintiffs and the defendant, but between the lawyers on either side.
Last week, Travolta attorney Marty Singer not only called the allegations against his client “absurd and ridiculous” and threatened the accusers with a malicious prosecution lawsuit, but he also threw blame at Okorocha, and told the Hollywood Reporter that the lawyer was warned about the consequences of filing suit, but decided to proceed with the “very salacious” suit.
Singer also vowed to sue both the accuser and attorney for filing a lawsuit “without any foundation or concern for reputation.”
But according to a defamation expert, attorney Mitchell Langberg of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP, there is a good deal or protection for attorneys and most are protected under the guise of “litigation privilege.” He also said that while the sudden client/lawyer separation between Okorocha and the first plaintiff, coupled with the “wrong date” technical legal significance, it could potentially hinder the validity of the remaining and/or future claims.
“It has been made clear that the first case is suspect,” he added. “Judges are people and these things do color the way people feel about a case.”

Fresh Facts: The Last Moments of the Late Unilag VC, Prof. Adetokunbo Sofoluwe

Fresh facts have emerged about how the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Adetokunbo Sofoluwe, died at the weekend.
A source close to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), where he died, told NigerianEye that Prof. Sofoluwe was hale and hearty until after 10pm on Friday when he left the UNILAG Staff Club.
The source said: “After leaving the staff club, he went to his office at the Computer Department, which he still maintained after becoming VC.
“While there, he ordered for a meal. He had barely taken two spoons when he started coughing. He was coughing seriously. I was told he called his doctor.
“The doctor was said to have mobilised an ambulance. But when the doctor got to the school, he could not locate him. He was looking for him at his office in the Senate building. When he could not find him, he rushed to one or two other places within the campus without any trace of the VC. By the time he finally located him, he had already collapsed in his office at the computer department.”
he was however taken to LUTH, where he was temporarily revived.
At the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba he was diagnosed as having Myocardial Infarction.
Myocardial infarction refers to a situation whereby a blood clot stops blood from flowing in a heart (coronary) artery
According to the Unilag statement issued “He was resuscitated before being transferred to the High Dependency Unit in Ward E8 of LUTH. Unfortunately, he suffered a second heart attack and all efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful. Post mortem examination has since been carried out and this has confirmed the cause of death to be of Cardiac Origin,”
The statement added that the university had declared three days of mourning in honour of Sofoluwe, the 10th VC of UNILAG
According to a statement, the mourning period will run from Monday (today) till Wednesday.
During the mourning period, all lectures, statutory meetings and other university activities at its three campuses (Akoka, Yaba and Idi-Araba, including its staff schools) will not hold.
The university has also set up a burial committee headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & Research) Prof. Babajide Alo.

Abandoned two-day-old baby boy found in a bush in Ibadan

An abandoned two-day-old baby boy was discovered at the weekend in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The baby was found in the bush at Odebode, Ido Local Government Area.
It was gathered that a passerby heard the baby’s cries in the early hours of Saturday and alerted other members of the community.
A resident, simply identified as Ayodele, said the baby, wrapped in Ankara, was found in a carton in the bush.
He said the baby was slightly deformed in the left hand and leg.
It was learnt that the baby’s body was stained with blood from his umbilical cord.
The Caretaker Chairman of the council, Prof. Joseph Olowofela, confirmed the incident.
Olowofela said: “I received a call on Saturday morning that a two-day-old baby boy was abandoned in the bush at Odebode village, on the Ologuneru- Eleyele Road in Ibadan. I informed the police and went to the scene with some people. When we got there, we found the baby crying in a carton.
“Before we finally got the baby admitted at Oni and Sons Hospital on Ring Road, two private hospitals rejected him because of his condition. But we thank God that the baby is responding to treatment.
“I have bought the drugs needed for his care. The baby boy is now bubbling with life and I have named him Moses Ido, after the council.”
Olowofela advised against dumping of babies. He said unwanted babies should be taken to orphanages for proper upbringing.

Kanye West Announces 2 Chainz G.O.O.D. Music Signing

It's T.R.U. Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz is the newest member of the G.O.O.D. Music roster. Kanye West announced the signing on Friday (May 11) via Twitter with a no-so-subtle message.
"2 Chainz is charging 100k for a verse now cause he's G.O.O.D.!!!!!!" 'Ye wrote.
The news comes after the pair performed together at the South By Southwest music festival in March, then the producer later stood alongside Chainz during the rapper's appearance on "106 & Park." The two incidents created chatter that the T.R.U. REALigion lyricist and 'Ye would be united under West's G.O.O.D. banner. The buzz intensified last month when Yeezy delivered "Mercy," the first offering from the forthcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation album, which featured 2 Chainz.
In February, 2 Chainz announced he signed to Def Jam Recordings as a solo act, after being a member of the label's roster previously as a part of Playaz Circle. Since inking with Def Jam, the rapper travelled across the country a number of times to record with West, according to sources with knowledge of the looming deal. Last month, West also recruited veteran rapper Q-Tip into his fold.
2 Chainz is currently finalizing his solo debut LP, Based on a T.R.U. Story, due August 14. The first offering, "No Lie," featuring Drake was recently released. The pair filmed a video for the track in Los Angeles; as of press time, a date for the premiere of the visual has not been set.
Meek Mill Says Rihanna Rumors “F*cking Up His Life”

Meek Mill has done several interiews this week proclaiming that contrary to the rumors, he and Rihanna are just friends, or to put it the way he did, “She likes my music, and that’s that”.
The rapper recently opened up and told Rap-Up.com that the media linking him to Rihanna has been “ruining his life,” specifically his love life. You see, Meek has a girlfriend back home in Philly. Check out what he said about the alleged affair below:
“Rihanna, she was on Twitter talking about she liked a few of my songs on Twitter. And I think the blog game took it to another level. I actually got a girl at home. I be arguing with my girl about blogs and interviews about her. I don’t really be trying to go there with my girlfriend over blogs. It be f*cking up my life a little bit,” stated Meek.
Wait, but what about Rihanna celebrating his birthday with him at a strip club? Meek has an answer for that, too.
“[Rihanna] might have been at the same place as me, but that don’t mean we was together. She a cool person, I met her before, she like my music, and that’s that.

Mystikal Discusses Impending Return To Prison
Mystikal says he's "ashamed" of having to go back to prison.
Fans
were surprised to hear Mystikal, after completing a six-year prison
sentence for sexual battery and extortion and subsequently signing to
Cash Money, was headed back to the pen for 81 days.In a recent interview with Billboard.com, Mystikal candidly discussed the new sentence, which stemmed from a violation of probation for a misdemeanor domestic abuse battery charge.
"Disappointed isn't the word for it -- ashamed," admitted the emcee to Billboard. "It's hard to show up. If I stole your money and I gotta come face you again and you ask me about the money, it's gonna be hard for me to face you in the eye. So the proof is in the pudding."
"Everything I was doing, the 81 days was right there riding with me -- in the SUV, come on, who's that?" he added. "My 81 days. Everywhere I went, it was keeping me in check, and it's a fight. I can tell myself all kinds of things, I can sit there and mope, or I can get out and thank those fans the way I'm supposed to, the way they deserve to be thanked. So of course I am."
Mystikal's new sentence begins Monday (May 14).
Lamborghini, Mercy
Last month Lamborghini unveiled its newest concept car – an SUV dubbed the Urus. You read that right: Lamborghini, the company whose heritage is rooted in creating some of the world’s sexiest and most powerful exotic sports cars is now making SUVs and flying them under the same banner which has housed the Aventador, Reventon and Murciélago. While the Urus will probably be the most powerful SUV on the market (thanks in part to its aerodynamic design and V-10 584HP engine) it’s also being detested by fans of the Italian automaker, as enthusiasts are saying that Lambo is diluting its brand and lowering its standards for crossover appeal.
Lamborghini evokes an emotional response from
people who both own and admire its vehicles from afar. The brand’s
refined elegance and ability to marry high performance with striking
design has always been at the center of its appeal. Bruce Wayne knows
this. He drives one and has another vehicle for off-road
actives. With the Urus, there’s a clear shift in that though and it’s
clear that exotics are moving away from their core and looking to expand
into more mainstream markets.
Of course, it all comes down to the numbers. When Porsche debuted the Cayenne in 2002, the reaction was much of the same. Porsche purists scoffed at the German automaker for entering the “soccer mom” market. They weren’t without merit since the Cayenne was the first Porsche since 1995 feature a V8 engine and seating for five. However, the Cayenne went on to become a best-seller for Porsche, ushering in two-generations of the model and several different drivetrain options. It also closed the pricing gap for Porsche as it’s easier to get the keys of a Cayenne than those of a 911. Realizing this, Porsche is even working on another SUV, named Macan, to further bolster its footprint into the crossover market.
Out of all the exotic automakers with SUVs on the horizon (Maserati, Aston Martin and the aforementioned Lamborghini), there’s one that’s steering clear of the trend. Of a possible Ferrari SUV, Fiat (which owns the brand) CEO Sergio Marchionne said “The uniqueness of [the Ferrari] brand cannot be minimized and so we are very, very careful.” Ferrari’s making a very conscious decision to stay on brand by not venturing off road.
Should Lamborghini add the Urus to its lineup, will it be on your list?
