Unidentified Man Falls From Sky

Police believe he was from Africa, probably from Angola, but they don't know his identity.

The mystery began in September when residents of a suburban street in the Mortlake neighborhood of West London woke up on a quiet Sunday morning to find the crumpled body of a black man on the sidewalk of Portman Avenue, near a convenience store, an upscale lingerie shop and a storefront offering Chinese medical cures.
Detectives believed at first the man was a murder victim and cordoned off the area. Within a day, however, police concluded the man – probably already dead – had fallen to the ground when a jet passing overhead lowered its landing gear as it neared the runway at nearby Heathrow Airport.
The apparent stowaway had no identification papers – just some currency from Angola, leading police to surmise that he was from that African nation, especially as inquiries showed that a plane from Angola was beginning its descent into Heathrow at about that time.
The macabre explanation made perfect sense to residents, who are familiar not only with the roar of the jets descending, but are also able to see the planes lower their landing gears as they pass overhead, said Catherine Lambert, who lives a few doors down from the spot where the man landed.
"You could see him, his body was contorted," she said. "It was a beautiful blue day, really sunny, but we had to keep the children inside. I didn't want the children to see, and to have to explain to them and put fear into them every time a plane goes over."
A post mortem conducted two days after the body landed listed the cause of death as "multiple injuries."
In the days afterward, some neighbors put flowers on the spot where the stowaway was found, and a small group of Angolans who live in the London area came to place more flowers and to pray. Lambert, 41, said there is lingering sadness, since the man has not been identified and there has been no way to tell his family he is gone.
"I felt, what was he running away from? What made him think he could he could? And how will his family ever know? He's a lost soul now; his father and mother are probably waiting for him to make contact," she said.

A London police spokesman, who wasn't authorized to speak on the record because of force policy, said Sunday that police are appealing to the public for help identifying the man based on a composite image of his face and a photo of a tattoo on his left arm. The tattoo showed the letters "Z" and "G" inked on his upper arm, with a horizontal line through the "Z".
Police also said attempts to identify the man with the help of Angolan authorities had been unsuccessful. They stressed there is only "circumstantial" evidence linking the stowaway to that country.
In a statement, police said the man is believed to be an African of slight build between the ages of 20 and 30. He was wearing jeans, white sneakers and a gray sweatshirt when he was found on Sept. 9, police said.
Although firm figures are not available, in recent years there has been a rise in the number of stowaways trying to get to Western Europe by hiding in the undercarriages of passenger planes.

BRAXTON'S SECOND LUPUS-RELATED VISIT

Toni Braxton was admitted to the hospital late last week. Her year started off with Lupus-related health issues and it looks as though it will end with more.
Toni Braxton hospitalize for Lupus complications
It's been a rough year for R&B singer Toni Braxton. Aside from recently being accused of bankruptcy-related fraud, Braxton also has been living with Lupus for the past two years.
She was admitted to the hospital over the weekend after suffering complications with the disease. Braxton did not report what those complications are, and neither did her spokesperson.
On Friday, she tweeted to her fans that she was in the hospital, then added, "But no worries! I will be out any day now."
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease during which a healthy immune system becomes overzealous and attacks healthy cells. While many people live long and relatively healthy lives with Lupus, that's not always the case. Fox News reports that Braxton's uncle died from Lupus complications.
This only adds to an already rough year for the singer. She began 2012 with another hospital visit because of more Lupus-related complications.
Then, later in the year, Braxton was investigated after being accused of making a fraudulent money transfer to her estranged husband, Keri Lewis. Braxton filed for bankruptcy in 2010. It's rumored that she transferred $53,000 to avoid having it seized to pay back debt during the bankruptcy process. Braxton, who flew to the top of the charts in the 1990s with her single "Un-Break My Heart," is believed to owe $10 million to $15 million worth of debt.
The singer claimed the debt was related to her Lupus and medical treatment. It's possible. Do record companies offer health insurance to their performers?
Oprah may have other suspicions about that massive amount of debt. It could have more to do with her expensive taste. According to their 1998 interview, which Braxton cited during her taping of VH1'sBehind the Music, Braxton's such a big spender — even Oprah seemed concerned.
"'I hear you have Gucci flatware,'" Braxton reports Oprah said. "'I'm Oprah Winfrey and I don't have Gucci flatware.'"
Whether that debt was accumulated because of Braxton's taste for super-expensive tableware, her health issues, or other celebrity necessities, we may never know.
We wish Braxton a speedy recovery to both her health and her career.

41-Year-Old Woman Threatens To Commit Suicide As Ex-Husband Refuses To Have Séx With Her

It is  that Evelyn Chiswa claimed that she could not imagine her life without her ex-lover’s seemingly cut above the rest séxual gymnastics.
This was after she  threatened to at her ex-husband’s place of residence after he refused to have séxual intercourse with her.
Circumstances to the story which sounds like an extract from a romantic Nigerian movie script are that Chiswa was sometime last year reportedly jilted by her ex-husband Ignatius Midzi over an undisclosed domestic reason.
The “dumping” reportedly did not go down well with Chiswa who is alleged to have read a riot act to her ex-lover saying she was not going to fold her hands after he had deliberately placed her on a séxual hiatus. She was alleged to have started phoning and stalking him at his workplace as well as besieging his place of residence tirelessly demanding séx.
Midzi, living true to the adage, “let bygones be bygones” refused to entertain his ex-wife and on the 10th of February this year he approached the Magistrates Court seeking a protection order the menacing Chiswa’.
Fortunately, he was granted the protection order where Chiswa was ordered by the court not to ever phone Midzi or go to his place of residence and workplace with the intention of disturbing his peace. To the self-styled séx martyr, Chiswa it seems the court order was just like a word of non effect and she  pestering Midzi demanding séx whenever he brought groceries for their child until she threatened to  at his place of residence.
The daring Chiswa went on to threaten Midzi saying she was going to dump their  at his workplace if he refused to come regularly to her place of residence to have séx with her. Midzi, following the threats went and reported the matter to the police leading to the  of his former better half.
Chiswa for the offence of stalking her former husband was brought before Bulawayo magistrate Mrs Learnmore Mapiye. She was  with Contempt of Court as defined in section 182 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9:23. She was not formally  and was remanded out of custody to 7  on free bail.

Naked Fest Continues...Rihanna Posts Pantless Pic Of Self On Instagram

Rihanna poses in front of a fireRihanna naked
What's with Rihanna and nudity?
It seems the Bajan enjoys all the attention she gets from showing off her naked bod at every available opportunity. One would have thought the reaction following her reunion with exflame  Chris Brown will be more than enough to quench the singer's thirst to always remain in the news.
The 24 year old recently posted the picture above of her self stripped to just her bra with a furry headgear while sipping on wine and smoking in front of a fire.
Earlier this week, word also spread that the singer added the word "Breezy" to her many tattoos. And no, Riri wasn't thinking about the weather, but the nickname of her ex lover Chris Brown.
When it comes to controversy, these two bring their A game. And I'm sure they're only just getting warmed up.

Emmanuel Adebayo Splurges £10,000 On Moisturizers, Including £5000 Gold Mask with 24-carat flakes of GOLD

Emmanuel AdebayorFace mask
While the average person still dreams of a white Christmas, Tottenham forward Emmanuel Adebayor is already enjoying a gold Christmas. Literally.
The Togolese born player recently splurged about £10,000(2.5million) at the Oro Gold store on skin care products laced with 24-carat flakes of GOLD. The products include a golden anti-ageing face mask that costs  £5,000.
A source said: “Emmanuel was sold hook, line and sinker on the stock. An assistant sat him down and gave him demonstrations of all the creams and he lapped it up, walking away with a stash of face creams and anti-wrinkle serums and promising he’d be back again.”
I guess earning about £50,000 per week could result in all sorta weird purchases.

Chiege Alisigwe: My Boobs Are My Selling Point

Chiege Alisigwe  came into limelight after starring alongside Ramsey Nuoah in the blockbuster movie ‘My Love’ in 1998.  She has since become one of the most-sought-after actresses in Nollywood.  In this  interview, the delectable actress  talks about her NGO, which she recently set up to cater for the welfare of the less -privileged people in our society as well as her plans to establish a  studio among other issues.
You recently set up an NGO. What is it all about?
What I had in mind when I set up my NGO was to use the platform to reach out to the  less privileged people in our society. You know, somebody might be looking good but inwardly,  he or she has a lot of problems bothering him.  So, we really want to see how we can assist them in our own little way.
Have you reconciled with your husband?
I don’t know. I hate talking about my private life. But what I know is that I have a child now.
Vanguard.
Which part of your body do you like most?
There are certain things God  blessed with that make me to feel like a real woman. They are  my boobs and my face. I am not saying that anybody who is flat chested is bad, the person still looks good. But if I dress, i will first admire myself before the mirror, I always thank God for making me a complete woman.
Like something you know many are paying to have, I have it naturally. And I thank God the way he made me. I am very grateful, I cannot ask for more.
Like how much can you insure these places you like most?
Money cannot be enough when it comes to those areas. I don’t pray for anything to happen to these places. I am ok the way I am.
Are you comfortable with the kind of movies that are coming out of Nollywood?
I am not comfortable at all. Though there are some good movies, the fact remains that Nollywood needs to step up its game in the area of production. Because, majority still need amendments here and there. I want the industry to  produce quality movies . I want them to come out  with something more challenging.
How has married life been with you?
Well, married life is good. Though there are ups and down, it is sweet at the same time, it is sour. You cannot just say it is all bed of roses but it is good. It is good because when the going is sweet, you love it the more but when the going is bad, you will still be there provided it is not life and death.
Does your married affect your career (Acting)?
No, it does not.
You stopped acting for a while now, what happened?
No, actually, I didn’t stop. But somehow, you do not need to act one million movies in a day. You have to advise yourself, I am the married woman that wants to combine my family with my career, and then you have to compromise. You think about your family first. No matter what you do, your family comes first.
How did you start acting?
Well, that was in 1998. When I left secondary school, I took JAMB; and I entered into the movie industry. To me then, it was a sort of whiling away time while I was still waiting for my JAMD result. Not like now you see people desperately want to act. It was not like that for me.
Was it like a passion you  wanted to use to pass time?
Number one, I love acting because, I use to act drama in secondary school then. Secondly, I was waiting for my JAMB result so I want to use that to while away time. Because, I don’t like staying idle. Even as a child, I used to do one or two things. I have always been an independent person. I would say that I started acting because I hate idleness.
How many movies have you acted this year?
I don’t really know but it is not much.
You live outside the country most often?
I live here in Nigeria but most times, I travel out of the country because of the project I’m embarking on. I shuttle between Nigeria and the outside world. There are certain things I need to bring from there to this country that is why I travel most often. Like my cameras, I brought them down from there. Like the house of service I told you, I need some in Nigeria and likewise outside the country.
Like other actors and actresses who have ventured into the music industry. Are you planning to do the same?
I love singing, I have sang so many songs. But, we cannot keep acting all the time. Because if you continue like that, you can never have your time, you can never give your family that time they need. You act, you get another thing to fall back on incase if you are not there.
At the same time, you cut your shot. What I mean is this, if you are the boss of what you are doing, you can say, let me give this time to my family today and your assistance will take over. Also, tomorrow you can say let me go to work/location today. I don’t want to spend all my time in working (acting). Where I can be answerable to somebody without being answerable to my husband.
So, you have to initiate something on your own by so doing, you can tell your workers, go and do this thing and you will go and relax. You can also be doing other things that will give you time to attend to your family. That does not mean I would not act for anybody anymore. I will act for people but I can never be the same like when I started as a young girl who does not have anybody to answer to.
Does it mean you choose the roles you act now?
Yes. I choose. I see the script. If I am not satisfied with it, I will tell you that I cannot act the script. If I am satisfied with that, I will go on with the script.
Do you think you still have a chance in the industry considering the number of actresses who are eager to act?
Well, I don’t look at people’s faces. I believe that whatever you are, it is on your own. If you are good, it is for your own good. I always tell people to be confident in themselves.
If you have self-confidence and a dragon is by your side, you can even say hi to the dragon and go your way the dragon would even turn back to follow your footsteps. Just be contended with yourself, how you act,, do you thing in your own way.
Don’t mind how people do theirs. You will find out that a lot of people are out there who are following your footsteps without your knowledge. So I am not scared.
What are the challenges you are facing now?
Talking about my challenges now, I think it is what I am building up that is giving me  lots of challenges. The other challenge an actor/actress can face is that professionalism in the field, knowing what you are doing. By God’s grace, we have the professionals in the industry. In fairness, I even love challenges so much.
What is your driving force in creating your own studio?
I decided to create my own studio because, I wanted something different apart from my acting. It is a kind of gradual step you have to take when you want to be there. I do not really want to have problem when I am there I will start looking for cameras or anything. I want to gather everything before I start the NGO. So that when I am out, they can finish everything without problems.
What do you intend to do with your NGO?
Ok, we want to reach to people because, so many Nigerians are hungry and I think I am happier if I am eating and the person beside me is eating as well. If am eating and the person beside me is hungry, I feel so unhappy. I derive joy in making people happy.
When do we hope to hear about the NGO well?
Not now because we are still working on it.
Tell us about your background?
I am Chiege Alisigwe from Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State. I am the last in the family of Eleven. I read fine and applied arts. I did my OND at Federal Polytechnic, Oko, before proceeding  to  IMT Enugu for Higher National Diploma. I did my youth service and now on the verge of doing my masters.

Goldie, J Martins At Daggers Drawn Over SA Video Shoot Drama

Between Goldie and J Martins, who is a bigger star? If you can honestly answer that question, then you would have arrived at half the answer to this current brouhaha going on between both Nigerian super stars.
Reportedly, Goldie invited J Martins to South Africa in November to appear in the video shoot for their duet “Give It To Me” but the “Oyoyo” crooner demanded a business class flight ticket which she couldn’t afford and after much persuasion, he accepted to be in SA for the shoot with a caveat – he will be met by Goldie herself. But to his utter dismay, a representative was sent instead.
J Martins declined to follow the rep since he wasn’t known to him especially as he was in a foreign country and needed to be safety conscious.
The drama took a turn for the worse when J Martins checked into a $700/night hotel (approx. N108,500) again, declining the hotel already booked for him by Goldie. That day, both singers couldn’t see as J Martins feigned tiredness and a bit of sickness and wanted to be left alone.
On the morning of the shoot, J Martins supposedly asked for a refund of his hotel bills which summed up at $3,500 and after much cajoling, he agreed to accept a refund of $1400. If the Kennis Music signed act thought her worse days were over, she was mistaken.
J Martins didn’t show up on set till 3pm later that day and when he eventually did, he insisted on receiving his $1400 refund. That settled, he started to act unprofessional – complaining about the costumes, refusing to take instructions from the set handlers, taking phone & making phone calls on set etc.
Appalled at the turn of events, the video shoot crew, who were mostly whites, packed their equipments and left unceremoniously and Goldie is upset (you remember upset Goldie in BBA Star Game?) because she lost quite some money in the process

Lindsay Lohan Stealing Jewelry Again

Lindsay Lohan was questioned by police after she brought several men to an all-night party, and the owners reported to police that those men stole valuable jewlry. Friday’s headline: “Judge orders Lindsay to serve 2 hours of community service for theft.”

How We Killed 10 Armed Policemen In Lagos – Robbers Confess

Ejike Mbogu, a member of a deadly gang of six that has been terrorizing Lagos and Ogun States, has told the police how they wasted 10 policemen who dared to stand in their way.
Ejike who is the number two man in the gang, spoke on behalf of other members from the SARS detectives’ cell.
“We killed 10 policemen and had their guns (AK47 rifles) carted away, five of the slain policemen were from Ogun state command, while the other five were from Lagos state command.
In Lagos alone, we killed two policemen in Oko-Oba, one in Iponri and two others in Ejigbo area. Also, in Ogun state police command, two policemen were shot dead in Abeokuta and another three in Ibafo area”, Ejike, the 33-year-old suspect said.
He pointed out that the 10 rifles were used for their various robbery operations on banks and Bureau De Change outlets in Lagos, Ogun, Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Kogi and Edo states respectively. Out of the 10 guns, Ejike confessed, he took one (now recovered), while nine others were shared out among others.
Among the gang members, Ejike disclosed that the duo of Ope and Isong are currently being held in protective custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Ogun State Police Command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
According to the Awka, Anambra state-born suspect, the two suspects were arrested shortly after a robbery operation in Abeokuta, following a painstaking intelligence gathering.
“On every big operation, especially bank raids, we usually merged with other gangs. We usually went in a large number, at times, we will be almost 20 on every operation. We have four gangs led by Kingsley, Wale, Goke and Emmanuel.
“Take for instance, the raids on First Bank Plc in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state capital and Share branch, Kwara state, were well coordinated, as we were about 18 members who participated in the raids. We were all fully armed to the teeth, as we made use of dynamites and GPMG”, confessed Ejike.
