BROOKLYN RAPPER TROY AVE SHOT ON CHRISTMAS DAY

In what appears to be a premeditated hit, BK MC Troy Ave was shot in the arm and grazed in the head yesterday on his way to his mother’s house for Christmas dinner.

Troy Ave, whose real name is Roland Collins, was the target in a shooting yesterday in Brooklyn that left the rapper with a non-life threatening wound to his arm and graze wound on his head.

“Tonight, Troy Ave was targeted again… on Christmas,” Scott Leemon, an attorney for the rapper, said in a statement to Billboard Magazine. “In Brooklyn, going to meet his family for the holiday, he was shot two times. Thankfully, he will survive the second attempt on his life. As we have said from the beginning — he is a victim. We pray for his speedy recovery.”

Collins is still out on bail for the shooting at Irving Plaza this past summer that left one man dead.

The luxury fashion brand Versace is now facing a lawsuit after a former employee accuses the brand of using unfair business policies according to CNN.

Ex-employee Christopher Sampiro, says that he was fired because of his nationality after working at the outlet location in California. He claims the store in Pleasanton used a secret “code” to alert employees when Black shoppers entered the store. Sampiro says the manager instructed workers in the new-employee training to use the “D410 Code,” which is the same used for black clothing.

Sampiro then claims that he responded to the manager that he was African-America. He was later fired for which he was told that he did not fit up to part with the “luxury lifestyle”.

Versace denies these allegations and are asking for a dismissed case. The status of this hearing is scheduled for March 21, 2017.

Thaina da Silva Pinto and her husband Fabio Luiz Lima lured 22-year-old Rayanni Christini Costa to their home under the pretence of donating baby items to her.

Thaina who is 21 years old has been married to Fabio for three years, but upon discovering she could not have children she pretended to friends and family that she was pregnant and even went as far as posting photos of her swollen tummy on social media. She then joined a Whatsapp group for people wanting to donate baby items where she then got access to pregnant women in need.

Rich kid of Instagram Lord Aleem Iqbal has cheated death in a horror Christmas car crash and then posted a picture of his wrecked luxury motor on the social media network.

The pictures posted by the 21-year-old millionaire show debris scattered across the road in Birmingham and a mangled black sports car at the side of the road.

In another photo an abandoned shoe can be seen on a pavement.

Writing on Instagram, he said: "Those metal railings could have been through my chest and today I wouldn't be here.

"That's would of been the end of my story. God really looked over me last night. (sic)"

He added that the impact had been so severe his belongings had been thrown from his car.

It is unclear if Aleem suffered any injuries in the smash or exactly where it took place.

Crude oil climbs for fourth day for fresh 2016 high

Oil prices rose for a fourth straight session on Wednesday, with traders waiting to see if OPEC will make good on its promises to cut output in the new year.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, light, sweet crude futures for delivery in February CLG7, +0.37%  rose 31 cents, or 0.6%, to $54.21 a barrel. If it closes at that level, it’ll be the highest settlement price for a front-runner contract since June 2015.

February Brent crude LCOG7, +0.59%  on London’s ICE Futures exchange climbed 34 cents, or 0.6%, to $56.42 a barrel.

Most market participants are waiting to see if major oil producers inside and outside the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries will deliver on pledges to curtail production beginning next month. The deal, if carried out as planned, should reduce global supply by about 2%.

Venezuela, an OPEC member whose economy has suffered greatly due to low oil prices, on Tuesday committed to cutting 95,000 barrels a day in line with the pact.

While market participants are at present optimistic that participating nations will abide by the pact, there is still a degree of skepticism about how closely and for how long producers will comply with individual quotas.

Another train accident, another probe ordered: How can Indian Railways resurrect itself?

Just over a month after more than 150 people were killed and nearly 200 injured when Indore-Patna Express jumped off tracks near Kanpur, another train accident took place in central Uttar Pradesh today. Fifteen bogies of Sealdah-Ajmer Express derailed near Rura in Kanpur injuring over 40.

The train was crossing a canal when the coaches toppled off the old bridge. Most of the passengers were asleep but luckily the slow speed of the train prevented casualties.

Soon after the accident, the Railway Ministry did what it does after every such incident - "ordered a probe to ascertain the cause". What happens to reports of such probes is anybody's guess. While the number of files of such inquiries keep on increasing, the big question is why the Indian Railways, the third largest rail network in the world after US and China, has been struggling to improve its passenger safety record?
