Giuliani strayed from his prepared remarks more than a dozen times, typically veering into a crescendo and an applause line.
Defending police officers, he boomed that cops across America devote their lives to 'protecting us – black, white, Latino, of every race, every color, every creed, every sexual orientation.'
'When they come to save your life, they don't ask if you're black or white! They just come to save you!'

Drug dealing father-of-27 who lives on benefits and calls himself a 'Good Samaritan', 53, will miss the birth of his 28th child after being jailed for 12 years

Tony Henderson, 53, has 27 children and will miss the birth of his 28th as he has been jailed for 12 years for dealing crack, amphetamine and heroin

A drug dealer who lives on benefits and has 27 children will miss the birth of his next child after being jailed for 12 years.
Tony Henderson, 53, told the judge he was a 'good Samaritan' who supported his family by doing odd jobs for people in the community, who would give him £5 in return.
He claimed he was on benefits because he suffers from blackouts and seizures, which would stop him doing strenuous jobs such as mowing the lawn.
But the jury rejected his 'entirely bogus story' after hearing how police found twenty wraps of speed and crack cocaine stashed in Kinder Egg capsules in his home.
He even tried to claim they were for his drug addict girlfriend, who he was trying to wean off drugs, but officers also found cash and six phones, which detailed his deals.
Judge Jeremy Richardson QC said: 'During the trial, you told many lies, indeed your dishonesty was truly breathtaking. The jury saw through your entirely bogus account.'
Henderson had only a 'limited' amount of drugs in his possession after being warned the day before that his home would be raided on June 29 last year, Hull Crown Court heard.
Asked if he had anything to declare, he pointed to a pair of socks on the floor, which each contained a Kinder Egg capsule.

One contained 1.64 grams of crack cocaine in 18 'wraps', worth £360, and another had 2.64 grams of amphetamine in two wraps, worth £20 inside it.
Police also found six mobile phones, £390.40 in cash, ten empty Kinder Egg capsules and a tin containing digital scales and spoons used for distributing and taking drugs.

Baton Rouge police

The black US Marine Corps veteran who shot dead three police officers in Louisiana's capital targeted them and assassinated them, authorities said on Monday, as the United States reeled from the latest deadly violence involving police and African-Americans.
One of three officers wounded in Sunday's shootings was hospitalized and fighting for his life, police said at a news conference. They said three guns were recovered from the shooting in Baton Rouge, which has been the scene of repeated protests against police violence following the July 5 fatal shooting by officers of Alton Sterling, a black man, outside a convenience store.
"There is no doubt whatsoever that these officers were intentionally targeted and assassinated," Louisiana State Police Superintendent Colonel Mike Edmonson said of the Sunday incident at the news conference. "It was a calculated act against those who work to protect this community every single day."
At the news conference, Edmondson described in detail how the attack unfolded: Long specifically sought out police officers and targeted them, leaving civilians in the area alone. He exchanged fire with several police officers before being shot and killed.

In addition to more than 2,000 members of the Turkish armed forces, Ankara has ordered that at least 50 high-level civil servants, 8,000 police officers, and 30 regional governors with alleged ties to the coup plotters be either arrested or fired, according to Reuters.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also told a crowd of supporters Saturday night that the country would look into reinstating the death penalty for the "traitors" who plotted to overthrow his government.
On Monday, US Secretary of State John Kerry cautioned Turkey against abandoning due process in its crackdown, implying that Turkey's NATO membership would be scrutinized if the country began to "backslide" away from its democratic principles.
"NATO also has a requirement with respect to democracy," Kerry told reporters in Brussels on Monday. "Obviously a lot of people have been arrested, and arrested very quickly. The level of vigilance and scrutiny is obviously going to be significant in the days ahead. Hopefully we can work in a constructive way that prevents a backsliding."
