The FBI hacked a child porn website on the dark web and nailed 1,500 users

hackerz
The FBI has used hacking methods never seen before in the history of law enforcement to bring down the owners and clients of the largest child pornography website found on the dark web to date.
A bulletin board website named Playpen that enabled users to sign up and then upload any images they liked was launched in August 2014 on the dark web, and according to court documents, the website's primary purpose was to advertise and distribute child pornography.
The dark web is a section of the internet not discoverable by conventional means, such as through a Google or search or by directly entering a website URL.
As the websites are hidden, they are perfect for cyber criminals, who list thousands of goods and services for sale on secret underground marketplaces, including narcotics, chemicals, firearms and counterfeit goods, as well as adverts for services such as hacking, gambling and sports betting. Many users of the dark web use the Tor anonymity network to disguise their web traffic and ensure anonymity.

North Korea says conducted 'successful' H-bomb test

North Korea said Wednesday it had carried out a "successful" miniaturised hydrogen bomb test -- a shock announcement that, if confirmed, would massively raise the stakes in the hermit state’s bid to strengthen its nuclear arsenal
The announcement triggered swift international condemnation but also scepticism, with experts suggesting the apparent yield was far too low for a thermonuclear device which the North was believed to be years from developing.
The United Nations Security Council will hold an emergency meeting Wednesday in New York, diplomats said.
The closed-door morning talks between the 15 member nations were called by the United Nations and Japan.
"The republic's first hydrogen bomb test has been successfully performed at 10:00 am (0130 GMT)," North Korean state television announced.

Missing: Sian Blake and her two young children were last seen on December 13. Scotland Yard confirmed that three bodies have now been found
Police searching for ex-EastEnders actress Sian Blake and her two young children have found three bodies in the garden of the family home - as the appeal to find her missing boyfriend continues.
The 43-year-old who played Frankie Pierre in the soap, was last seen after visiting relatives in Leyton, east London, with her sons Zachary, eight, and Amon, four, on December 13, and neighbours reported seeing her loading bags into the boot of her car.
Three days later, police spoke to her partner, the children's father Arthur Simpson-Kent, 48, at the family's home in Erith, Kent, and he has since disappeared. Police have refused to clarify why they spoke to Mr Simpson-Kent.
A murder investigation was launched after the bodies were discovered and forensic teams were seen searching the property. Neighbours said police had been at the house for several days.
Questions are being asked as to why officers missed three bodies during their 20-day search for the mother-of-two.
The bodies have not yet formally been identified, but police repeated appeals for help finding Mr Simpson-Kent.
Post-mortem examinations on all three bodies will take place tomorrow.
Speaking at her family home in east London, Ms Blake's mother Lyndall said 'I'm doing okay' despite the horrific discovery this afternoon.

fitbitTwitter/@fitbit
Let’s be real here: There is no one piece of tech that’s going to magically fulfill all of the hopes you may have for improving yourself in 2016. As always, sticking to whatever goals you’ve set requires properly managed expectations and a healthy dose of perseverance on your part. You can’t buy that.

None of this is to say that good tech can’t help, though. Per usual, the highest-quality gadgets will make your stab at self-improvement more enjoyable than it’d be with inferior gear. And at the very least, dropping the cash on something new should give you some motivation to make the most of that investment.
