Remember the Donjazzy-Princewill Ojukwu story which I reported recently, where the latter claimed that Donjazzy ordered his thugs to beat him to pulp at his new club PoP? Refresh your memory by reading all about it HERE.
Word out now is that the two met at an hangout on the island yesterday evening to resolve their differences. All the beef between Princewill and Donjazzy has been axed, and the two at peace with each other. Good stuff!

Man Slams Tonto Dike In Open Letter, Says:You're A Monkey!

           
I came across the letter you're about to read and found it very interesting. The letter is an open letter to actress Tonto Dike who allegedly granted an interview late 2012 in which she was was quoted to have said:

 First of all, it is nobody’s business where my fiance is from. That out of the way, yes Benin men are great and very understanding. They are not sitting and judging you unlike an Igbo man that will want to be poke-nosing in everything you do. You make your money and the Edo man is not interested in your personal affairs . “If I keep waiting for an Igbo man, I will just end up like Genevieve Nnaji who is eternally single.”

Tonto and her reps have however debunked the above statement calling it false. However, the writer of the open letter still refers to the letter against the backdrop that she perhaps made the statement afterall.

Truth is that I don’t know you personally, but you’ve created a strong mystery around yourself. People see you as a soul from hell.They say you’ve sold your soul to the devil. Me, I don’t know where the devil lives, but I think you have. You even went ahead to show us tattoos at your back. I just didn’t understand why you did that. As an Igbo man, I will never marry a woman who has shown the entire world ‘my tattoos.’It is not good. I am an Igbo man, so I will need to know who snapped the picture. Maybe, your secret boyfriend? This is the reason why we are bad, abi? Adele doesn’t go around seeking attention. She doesn’t pay anyone to publish pictures of her tattoos. Who knows? She may just have a lot of them. I haven’t seen them. I have seen yours. 

There is nothing wrong in you tattooing your entire body, but what is my businesswith that? Are you not supposed to be an actress? Of course, I understand that you appear in ”p”  films now? That is good. At least, you are doing what you know best. But to pick on Igbo men? This is very unacceptable.You insulted a lot of us. This simply shows how unintelligent you are towards anthropology. Men are the same all over the world. Igbo man, Yoruba man, Hausa man. We all treat women in similar ways. We love unconditionally. And we all become nosy when our women start acting like you. 

If your father is an Igbo man, dearest Tonto Dikeh, you are a monkey. But I will be sorry if you didn’t say that. I only rely on the media, since I don’t know you personally.If you didn’t say it, Tonto, I am very sorry. I will publicly apologise. Yet, I believe you did, because you do so many things after marijuana. If it’s not good for your brain,stop smoking. Evil! Male Student Chops Off Girlfriend's Head In Minna, Niger State(Viewer Discretion Advised)

                                           
This story was first reported by channels a few days ago, but I initially didn't blog it. Considering that the year had just started on a bright note, I found it too gory. However several emails from MDB readers made me change my mind, but I must warn you, Viewers Discretion Is Highly Advised.
A 500 level student of the federal University of Technology Minna, named Godwin Edeko has been arrested by the Niger State Police for allegedly cutting off his girlfriend's head after having carnal knowledge of her for three days.

Some of the neighbors who spoke to Channels Television explained that they became suspicious when they heard the dead girl, simply identified as Hanatu, screaming and the suspect dashing out of his room.
They further mentioned that after some time without hearing any sound from the girl who had been with the suspect for three days without coming out, they forcefully opened the door of the room only to find the headless body of Hanatu with blood stains all over the room.

Niger State Police Public Relation Officer, Pius Edoko while confirming the incident explained that although the suspect had confessed to the crime, the command is yet to establish the motive of the crime.

He however said the investigation is ongoing with a view to crack down other people involved in the crime as the severed head was recovered from an uncompleted building in Bosso.

Breaking! Uniben Announces Discovery Of HIV/AIDS Cure

       
Prof. Isaiah Ibeh of the University of Benin, on Tuesday announced the development of a new drug that can allegedly ‘cure’ HIV and AIDS. Ibeh, who is the Dean of the School of Basic Medical Sciences of the university, told reporters in Benin that the herbal drug had undergone “series of successful tests”.
He said “We are at the threshold of making history, in the sense that we seem to have with us something that will permanently take care of what over time seems to have defied all solutions. “We are talking about the latest discovery of an oral drug made from plants extraction in Nigeria for the possible cure of the pandemic, HIV and AIDS virus.’’



According to him, research on the project was started in 2010 and culminated in the development of “Deconcotion X (DX)–Liquid or Bioclean 11 for the cure of HIV and AIDS”. “The existing retro-viral drugs are intervention drugs for the management of AIDS but our new discovery is a possible cure.

“We have tried to look at the product first; its toxicological analysis and discovered that it has a large safety margin. “This means that if animals or human beings are exposed to it, they will not suffer any serious harm at all from the exposure. “It also helped us to know the quantity we can conveniently give to animals and will feel secure that nothing untoward will happen.

“We have also done the bacteriological analysis on it, after which we looked at its effect on the virus and the result was quite revealing and refreshing.” Ibeh also said that the drug had been exposed to series of medical examination both in Nigeria and in the USA. He added that the drug had performed well on patients with the HIV virus and had shown evidence of total restoration of damaged tissues.

“The result showed an increase in the body weight of the individual administered with DX. “The body weight was statistically significant when compared with the control group.” He said that further tests were being conducted to determine “at what point will a patient become negative after being administered the drug?”.

“This verification is necessary because it is what is used to measure whether infection is still there or not. So we need to know the siro-convention time. “But preliminary results showed that of the five latest patients orally administered with the drugs, our findings is that up to seven months , three of them were siro negative while two were sill faintly positive.’’ Ibeh appealed for support from the Federal Government and relevant bodies to assist the university with relevant equipment to sustain the research.

6 killed in Abuja-Lokoja road accident

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kogi has confirmed the death of six persons in an accident which occurred on Tuesday on the Lokoja-Abuja road.

The state FRSC Sector Commander, Mr Garba Mohammed, said in Lokoja that the accident occurred in Karara village at 11:10 a.m.

He said the accident involved a Toyota Corolla car with registration number, Lagos GGE 204 EKY, and a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number, Lagos FKJ 634 XB.

Mohammed said 10 people were involved in the accident, adding that four victims were seriously wounded and rushed to Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, for treatment.

The commander said that the corpses of the dead, comprising two men and four women, were deposited at the hospital.

He blamed the accident on dangerous overtaking and over-speeding on the part of the two drivers and advised motorists plying the road to always adhere to traffic rules and regulations.

NAN recalls that a woman was killed in an accident on the road on Monday, while five others were also seriously injured in the accident.

Justin Bieber Apologises To Fans For Smoking Marijuana

Pics of the 18-year-old star puffing on a suspicious cigarette was released by TMZ  on the day a paparazzo was killed attempting to photograph him and the website claims the cigarette contained illicit drug.

In the pictures, which TMZ says were taken on January 2, Justin is seen holding what appears to be a roll-up as he chats with friends inside a hotel room in Newport Beach, California.

Donjazzy Almost Killed Me...Bruised And Battered Man Cries Out

According to a report by journalist Stella Dimokokorkus, Donjazzy is being accused by a Lagos socialite Princewill Ojukwu of battery, oppression and dehumanization. Princewill alleges that he had row with Donjazzy at his newly opened club POP, which led to the latter ordering his thugs to beat "the life out of him."

The picture above showing the battered backside of Princewill was taken yesterday January 7 2013. The alleged victim is said to still walk around in pain; he is unable to wear shoes and has a constant migraine.

It is also alleged that Donjazzy has sent an sms to the victim apologizing and asking for an account no to send money for the victims hospital bills.

The victim Princewill Ojukwu says:

'' Its not about the money,this could happen to anyone,it is abuse of power and needs to be checked before someone is killed all in the name of the other being a celebrity.Don Jazzy stood there pinging on his blackberry as his thugs beat me up,that is the last thing i remember before i fainted.it....''

As you know, there are two sides to a story. Donjazzy is yet to comment on the allegations, once he does, I'd give you guys his side of the story.

John Travolta Being Sued By Alleged Lover

John Travolta is being sued by an alleged lover!

A pilot, Doug Gotterba, claims that he was John’s secret lover and he further claims that he did not sign any confidentiality statement, so there was no reason he could not talk about the affair.

Doug, came out of the shadows and told the National Enquirer about a six year love affair with the married actor.  Doug says that he first met John back in 1981 while interviewing for a pilot job and things took a very personal turn quickly.  Their sexual affair continued for years until John eventually went on to marry Kelly Preston.  Gotterba says that the last time he saw John was in 1992.

TMZ has the scoop on the story, “Gotterba does not go into detail about hispersonal relationship with Travolta in the lawsuit … but says after the media tidal wave that ensued, he received a threatening letter from Travolta’s attorney Marty Singer.  In the suit, Gotterba claims Singer threatened to sue him for violating aconfidentiality agreement he signed when he stopped working for Travolta.”

John’s camp claims the lawsuit is prosperous, Doug signed a confidentiality agreement and Doug is just doing it for publicity.

I don’t really find it unbelievable that when Doug was terminated, they made him sign an agreement that he was not allowed to talk about John.  However, I believe the agreement would have covered their working relationship and not any personal one they had.  What do you think?  Hit the comments and let us know your thoughts?

Khloe Kardashian Broke Or Weird? Sells Used Underwear On Ebay

Something freaky is going on with Khloe Kardashian, and we can’t tell if it’s just her going crazy, or if her relationships are falling apart! She and hubby Lamar Odom have been on divorce watch for the last month, ever since Lamar was spotted partying with a bunch of other women in various clubs. Khloe, of course, swears that everything is fine, but actions speak louder than words!

“New year, new wardrobe!” was Khloe’s tweet, linking to an Ebay shop full of her personal items. Khloe’s page features dresses, jackets, trousers, shoes, accessories, and, of all things, a sports bra! Three, actually, the most expensive is currently going for just over $5! It isn’t unusual for celebrities (and especially Kardashians) to sell their used stuff. For some reason, their fans really like it! But most celeb auctions donate the profits to charity, which isn’t the case for Khloe and Lamar!

Their eBay account explains that “a portion of the proceeds benefit Cathy’s Kids,” but never specifies how much! I mean, is this a large portion, or miniscule? And what are they doing with the rest of the profits? Are Khloe and Lamar strapped for cash? The entire affair is really weird to me. Not just the selling of used bras, but the elusive charity donation. Cathy’s Kids is a charity founded by Lamar in 2004 to help underprivileged kids in LA. It’s a great cause, no doubt, but whydo they have to sell old underwear, then keep part of the profits? Is this a symptom of trouble at home?

Man Shot Dead, LAGBUS Vehicle Set Ablaze As Pipeline Vandals, NSCDC Clash

Tragedy struck yesterday in Majidun-Ilaje area of Ikorodu, Lagos, after a 35-year-old man was shot dead during a violent clash between pipeline vandals and officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

About eight officials of the Corps escaped death by whiskers the previous day, following attempt by some pipeline vandals to set them ablaze, in a bid to avoid being arrested.

However, at the end of a renewed raid at the vandals’ hide-out, yesterday, 60 of them were arrested,with the recovery of arms and ammunition from them.

But their arrest was not easy as the suspected vandals reportedly attacked the officials, injuring some of them and destroying their vehicle in the process.

The suspected vandals said to have taken over the area, also smashed windscreens of unsuspecting motorists plying the route.

Among the vehicles destroyed was a LAGBUS which ran into the rampaging vandals. Several persons were said to have been also injured in the process, while others lost their valuables while running for safety.

Report said NSCDC officials stormed the area to effect the arrest of the vandals who were engaged in scooping petroleum product from broken pipelines belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Sunday night. Residents said they usually came in trucks and big cans to scoop fuel.

But on sighting the officials at about 10p.m. Sunday night, some of the vandals reportedly laid ambush while others remained at the spot, with their hands raised up, pretending to own up to the offence.

But as the officials were about to apprehend them, their members reportedly came out of hiding and immediately struck a stick of matches on some product suspected to be petrol which was in front of the officials.

Spokesman for Lagos State Command of the NSCDC, Kehinde Bada, when contacted, explained: ‘’Around 10p.m. of yesterday, (Sunday) some pipeline vandals were operating around Majidun area of Ikorodu, moving petroleum products and when our men got there, the vandals went on rampage and attacked them to the extent that they almost set them ablaze.

Today (yesterday), we got intelligence report that the vandals were back to the spot. We reinforced and went back to make arrest. But on getting there, they launched an attack at our men but our men were able to apply caution.

Confirming the arrest, Commandant of the state command of the NSCDC, Shem Obafaiye, said, “The suspects were arrested at Majidun area in Ikorodu around 12noon .

It was battle for battle during the arrest, but at the end, we arrested 60 people. Some of my injured men are receiving treatment in the hospital. The suspects will soon be handed over to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC.

The incident reportedly caused a hitch in the free flow of traffic as motorists who apparently thought it was a robbery operation, abandoned their vehicles and fled for safety.

But the arrested suspects denied having anything to do with the attack on the officials.

Meanwhile, the deceased’s sister, who simply identified herself as Iya Wariz, said she gave her late brother, Sule, N1000 note to buy food . “I gave him money to buy food for me at Majidun Bus-stop. I waited for several hours without seeing him. Later, one of his friends rushed to tell me that he was shot by Civil Defence people,” she said and burst into tears.

A man who claimed to be an apprentice to the late Sule, Josuah, told Vanguard that his boss was not a vandal.

According to him, “my boss was on his way to buy food when the Civil Defence man sighted him and shot him in the head twice.

Atiku’s Aides Expose Obasanjo’s Corruption

A new book published by the media aides of Nigeria’s former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has detailed the high handedness and the corruption of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, under whom Atiku served for eight years.

According to a report by Thisday, the new book is entitled: “Atiku Media Office: The Wars, The Victories,”

Thisday reported that “presents the grim details of how Obasanjo crippled his deputy, Atiku, in office at the height of their disagreement in 2003.

The book also spoke about how Obasanjo who “in 1999 had less than N20, 000 in his bank account” grew to acquire monumental assets.

The former vice-president’s spokesman, Mallam Shehu Garba, “and others” authored the book, said Thisday.

On Obasanjo’s assets, the authors wrote: “It is, however, ironic that the same EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission), whose only allegation against Atiku Abubakar is authorisation of placement of deposits in interest-yielding bank accounts, failed to see anything wrong or even curious is a situation where Obasanjo who in 1999 had less than N20,000 in his bank account managed to acquire several highly mechanised multi-million naira farms in all the six geo-political zones of the country; Obasanjo palm oil farms in Calabar; his farm at Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State, the biggest of its kind in Africa; big fish farms in Lanlate and Ota; a big poultry farm in Ibogun and oil palm and estate at Ehuuagie, Rivers State.

“As if that was not enough, Obasanjo’s investments allegedly stretch across all sectors of the economy with such ventures as the multi-million naira Temperance Hotel, Ota; the Bells Secondary School and University; Transcorp, which owns the Abuja Hilton, NITEL, oil blocks; steel company, as well as a speculated interest in the Aluminium Smelter Company of Nigeria (ALSCON) in Ikot-Abasi, which was allegedly sold to foreign interests allegedly at a price believed to be far below its actual value.”

“In a revealing chapter titled, “Constitutional and Political Background to the Obasanjo/Atiku Conflict,” the authors also traced the history of Obasanjo’s emergence as president in 1999 to the efforts of some retired military generals who collaborated with the Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) machine of the late Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, then being led by Atiku.

Atiku Abubakar: aides open can of worms about Obasanjo

“Although Atiku would later emerge Obasanjo’s running mate and subsequently vice-president, General Ibrahim Babangida, Lt. General Aliyu Mohammed Gusau (rtd) and a few Northern leaders who supported Obasanjo did not take kindly to this arrangement, according to the authors.

“The problem between Obasanjo and Atiku, the authors said, started with the 2003 presidential election against an earlier alleged expectation that the former president would spend only one term.

“The authors detailed how Obasanjo deployed EFCC to fight the ex-vice president on charges of corruption and how the former president took over the Peoples Democratic Party and appointed his men as party leaders.

“According to them, the former president began to cripple Atiku by moving to “control such petty things as allocation of staff vehicles, office and residential accommodation or determine who should be entitled to lunch at the State House.
