GZA Says Wu-Tang Clan Hasn't "Been On The Same Page In Years," Talks "Dark Matter" LP

GZA says he doesn't feel bad about the crew's inability to see eye-to-eye.

GZA is currently prepping the release of his new albumDark Matter, inspired by quantum physics and slated for release later this year. During an interview with Rolling Stone, the Wu-Tang Clan member said that the LP is a “beautiful story” about “planets, black holes, comets” and more, and how his recent visit to MIT was one of the driving forces for the project.

“I had several different ideas and concepts in my head. It's just a journey of the universe. Dark matter, dark energy,” he said. “The thing at MIT didn't really have anything to do with it. This was just something that added to it. I mean, I never went to a university and linked up with, you know, quantum and astrophysicists and things of that nature. But it's not like this is what sparked the idea for me to want to do this album.”

He also spoke on his upcoming projects, revealing that he’s beginning to write pilots and working on several scripts. He had no update on the Wu-Tang Clan reunion album, and said that even if the crew never records another song, he’s happy with what they already accomplished.

“We haven't been on the same page in years,” he said, noting that he has no hard feelings about that. “Nah. It is what it is. Sometimes that match burns out. So, no, I don't feel bad about it. It's good. I'm grateful for everything we have done throughout our careers and if there's nothing else to put out, then there's nothing to put out. I'm constantly writing and working. It doesn't stop there.”

Diggy Simmons Explains Reason Behind J. Cole Diss

Diggy Simmons explains he dissed J. Cole after Cole spoke ill of his sister on a track.

Yesterday, Diggy Simmons made headlines when a song titled "What You Say to Me" leaked, on which the emceetook aim at J. Cole. Now, the rap royalty explains the real reason he dissed the Roc Nation up-and-comer.

In a recent interview with 99.1 FM, Diggy explained that he attacked Cole because Cole falsely claimed to have had relations with Diggy's his sister Vanessa on his song "Purple Rain." Although Diggy added that his song is over a year old and wasn't leaked by anyone in his camp, he felt the need to defend his family, a belief that he says was echoed his father Reverend Run of Run-DMC.

"[There's] no big story behind it, it was really just that my sister [Vanessa] over a year ago told me that [J. Cole] was saying that he did this, that and third with her, 'cus the went to the same college [St. John's], but they didn't really know each other like that, so it wasn't like that," he said. "She also told me that he subliminally talked about her in a song called 'Purple Rain,' which was also false. So it was just me sticking up for my family, that's all that it really was. I didn't even leak it, it got leaked last night while I was at the movies…I did that record last year…I was gonna put it out, but I didn't feel like it was appropriate, but of course, that's my sister…family over everything. [My dad Reverend Run] had already heard the track and he was like the same thing: 'Family over everything, that's your sister,' so he wasn't mad at all."

Nas Discusses Tupac & Upcoming Album, "Life Is Good"

Nas reflects on his relationship with Tupac, as well as his next solo project, "Life is Good."

Before Tupac Shakur passed away, one of the many New York emcees with whom he beefed was Queensbridge native Nas.

During a discussion helmed by Steve Stoute at SXSW in Houston, Texas, Nas discussed hsi relationship with the late West Coast legend.

"Pac's one of my favorite artists," began Nas. "We saw each other...really got to the bottom of it. What he said to me is, 'Me and you are brothers. Me and you are never supposed to go at it. But I heard you were dissing me on this new Akinyele album."

"Greater heads prevailed...and we both knew we were supposed to continue that conversation. I was scheduled to meet him in Vegas...and you and Jimmy Iovine called me at about four in the morning, and told me that he might not make it."

Nas also spoke on his upcoming album, Life Is Good.

"[The album has] the eras that I like," he explained. "'Nasty ' was a 90's kind of vibe. That's woven in there."

"Some personal stuff, life stuff in there. I tried to put that out there, get that off my chest," he added.

Mannie Fresh Explains His History With Kanye West

It's a well known fact that Mannie Fresh and Kanye West have maintained a relationship since before to 'Ye rose to super-stardom. Now, in a recent interview with Vibe, the former Cash Money producer recalls how he first linked up with the Chicago producer/emcee.

Mannie Fresh said that he was first introduced to Yeezy through former partner Mikkey Halsted when the Chicago duo were in talks to sign with Cash Money in the late '90s. Fresh said that Halsted ultimately signed with the label as a solo artist,  and that 'Ye went on to join the Roc-A-Fella army in 2000.

"I knew Kanye way before he was signed,” he recalled. “He came to Cash Money with Mikkey [Halsted], who was an artist on Cash Money. They came together as a group and Kanye was the producer, and he decided to split out and later did his thing with Jay-Z. So I’ve been knowing dude forever. Kanye knows what I’m about.”

Mannie Fresh also spoke on the impressive roster of artists signed to Yeezy's G.O.O.D. Music imprint. He said that the talent at G.O.O.D. Music is so extensive that the label's more akin to a factory, with 'Ye at the head of the pack overseeing the product.

“There are so many talented people that are on G.O.O.D. Music that it’s nuts,” he said.. “You have so many people that you are working with that it’s unlimited. I can’t say what it’s structured around. It’s more so a music factory. It’s like, hey, everybody that walks through those doors play Kanye something. If he likes it they give it to him. It’s as simple as that.”

Obviously You Can’t Have The London Olympics Without Daniel Craig Parachuting Into The Stadium

Daniel Craig James Bond Skyfall Olympics parachute The ArrivalI’m not a huge fan of sports, and some years my favorite part of the Olympics is the opening ceremonies: Watching the teams march around the Olympic stadium proudly bearing their country’s flag and dressed in some awesome but sporty outfit that represents their culture. And of course, you wonder what ever the host city will think up as its own tribute/spectacle. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in China, we watched dancers seemingly paint characters over a giant scroll that unfurled through the stadium.

For the 2012 Summer Olympics? We getJames Bond.

Showing an impressive sense of humor and understanding of pop culture, Queen Elizabeth II has agreed to let Daniel Craig and director Danny Boyle shoot an Olympics-themed short film called “The Arrival” at Buckingham Palace. The plot goes, Bond gets an assignment from the Queen — who may or may not make a cameo — that it’s his mission to launch the Olympic Games. The short will be played on big screens in the stadium: The attendees will watch Bond get in a helicopter and fly over the stadium… and then Daniel Craig himself will parachute into the stadium live! Talk about the perfect promotion for the new Bond film Skyfall.

It’s crazy-fitting how well everything wraps up, timing-wise, with London hosting this year’s Olympics. This year is the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee — at which the Spice Girls might be performing! — and it’s Bond’s 50th anniversary on film. I wish this had been a surprise, though; if this were several years ago, no doubt that it would be more under wraps and we wouldn’t have heard about it because letting a film crew into Buckingham Palace was news alone. But you know who we’d really love to see cameo in the Bond short? Kate Middleton.

: Play Billboard’s Guitar Urinal With Your Pee

guitar urinal Guitar Pee Billboard wtfWe live in the era of creative urinals, apparently. Not too long ago we wrote about the SEGA Toylet, a bathroom-centric console where the strength and speed of your* pee could blow a girl’s skirt up and make other amusing things happen during your bathroom trip. NowBillboard magazine has gotten in on this somewhat puerile promotion scheme, with a guitar urinal calledGuitar Pee installed at Brazilian watering hole Bar Aurora.

So, yeah. It’s like Guitar Hero, except that instead of your fingers plucking the strings, it depends on how straight and true your aim is. There are handy instructions and a score board, but it sounds like the melody is all up to you. That means that only seasoned guitar players should step up and unzip their pants.

But if you live outside of Brazil, don’t despair! The Guitar Pee site, if you access it from your mobile phone, has a collection of .mp3s. For practice at home, we assume.

*I say “your” meaning the actual users of urinals, i.e., men. But I assume that you, as our overwhelmingly female readership, already got that.

She was reported to have said :
First of all, it is nobody’s business where my fiance is from. That out of the way, yes Benin men are great and very understanding. They are not sitting and judging you unlike an Igbo man that will want to be poke-nosing in everything you do. You make your money and the Edo man is not interested in your personal affairs . If I keep waiting for an Igbo man I will just end up eternally single.
