SAMKLEF the blue print

Born Samuel Oguachuba 26 years ago in Lagos, Samklef, as he is widely known in the Nigerian Entertainment scene remains one of the most talented music producers cum singer around at the moment, writes GBENGA BADA
Samklef, a native of Imo State who is signed to Noni Records has been in the industry for a couple of years, working with entertainment and advertisement firms like Sound Factory, Flow Records, Smashers Records, Back 2 Black, Mindfalls and Exp & i360 before deciding to start his own outfit, Noni Records. “I joined the industry several years ago before I eventually opened my own studio where I started recording and producing songs for various music acts.”
While horning his skills in the entertainment industry, Samklef was able to stamp his authority after his production works became most sought after by record companies and popular music acts.
Samklef’s vast experience, which was garnered by working with some of the best hands in every field with influences from international producers cum singers – Timbaland, Kanye West and Don Jazzy – has given him an edge in the music production world. This is evident in his production of popular hits like Durella's “My Life”, Wizkid's “Tease Me” and “Don’t Dull”, Vector’s “Kilode” and D'Prince's “Jonzing World.”
Samklef produced a large portion of Wizkid's widely acclaimed album ‘Superstar,’ thereby significantly contributing to the huge success of the album. He has also worked with names like Sunny Neji, Ruggedman, Durella, Skales, D’Prince (Mo’ Hits), Simisola, J Bryte, Emmsong, O'cube, Jahdiel, Vector, Mudina and a host of others. “I admire and learn from the production works as well as expertise of artistes like Timbaland, Kanye West and D’Banj,” he said.
Life on the streets of Lagos amidst the harsh survival conditions of the typical Nigerian ghetto toughened Samklef and gave him an opportunity to see life from different perspectives. This is evident in his music where he shares his strong beliefs from the lessons he has learnt from the streets.
After establishing himself as one of the most popular music producers in the country, he decided not to rest on his oars and unveiled yet another side of himself – the singer. Samklef released his debut album titled “Noni” in 2010 and recently re-packaged and re-introduced it with an international edition entitled “Nonilizing”, released in January 2011.
Some of the popular songs in the album are “Labalaba” and “Molowo Noni” featuring Wizkid, D’Prince and Iceprince. In recognition of his contribution to the Nigeria entertainment industry, he's been nominated for several awards that include the Nigerian Entertainment Award in New York; City People Awards; Channel O Awards; Hip Hop World Awards and the Nigerian Music Video Awards.
He has won many awards, one of which is the award for Producer of The Year 2011, both at the City People Awards and Nigerian Entertainment Awards. Last year, the producer decided to begin another phase in his life as he tied the nuptial knot with his long time heartthrob, Yvonne in an elaborate celebration.
“Married life is definitely different from living single but it’s a whole new experience as a married man and we thank God for everything. I’m married to my best friend, sister and mother. That and many more are some of the qualities I found worthy in my wife,” Samklef said of his wife

Cossy Orjiakor "my body feat Ego"

As much as Cossy Orjiakor, the sexy humongous mammary-flaunting damsel of Nollywood, is not a figure most housewives would love to have around their husbands even though the husbands would get beside themselves just to have a peek of those brachial wonders, she is a hot item any day.
The actress who seems to have found better calling in music than acting has not been in circulation for some time now. Where she has gotten to remains a mystery.
*Cossy
She has not been responding to mails and her number does not answer as well. Each time her number is dialed the irritating tone of “ not available” greets back.
Cossy, who has not really been ruffling any feather in the movie industry is sure holding her ground in the music industry.
Her latest single “My Body” in which she featured Ego is doing well in the market and many critics of her have actually commended her for job well done.

Davido on sex rampage in Ghana

Nigeria’s newest pop sensation Davido might have bitten off more than he can chew when he hooked up with an undergraduate on a trip to Ghana yesterday.
Barely 24 hours after arrived in Ghana, there’s been a leak; with very private pictures of him in bed with an undergraduate emerging on Blackberry Messenger and Twitter.
It’s gone viral already, just like it was with the Wande Coal nude photo leak.  Just this morning, 19 year old Davido trended worldwide on Twitter; with thousands commenting on the pictures showing him in bed with a lady believed to be 18-year-old undergraduate Sonia Jumbo. Different images show the lady fondling and kissing him while he was asleep. In one, she’s seen licking his tattoo.
Sources say Sonia, a Port-Harcourt based Nigerian currently studying in Ghana, had used the images as display pictures on her Blackberry Messenger, leading to some of her contacts copying them and sharing them on social networking sites, causing a major frenzy.
Davido had travelled to Ghana along with his manager Asa Asika and crew member Sinarambo to perform at the Miss ISA 2012 beauty pageant, put together by the International Students Association of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
We’re not immediately able to reach Davido or his manager. Phones were switched off and messages had not been replied as at 11:30am.

MOVIE TRAILER: THE EXPENDABLES 2

The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Lee Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way….

New Book Of Ray-J Might Be Called “R.I.P Kim Kardashian’s Career”

After a sex tape with D-list celebrity Ray J leaked in 2007, Kim Kardashain clawed her way up the fame ladder so fast that by the time she was famous, it was too late for any of us to stop her or ask how it happened. One second she was a nobody with a barely famous father, the next second her family was in our faces 24/7. It seems almost impossible to remember a time when we didn’t know their names or their scandals or the look of Bruce Jenner’s tightly botxoed skin.
But it looks like Kim Kardashian’s career might be coming to an end. While I hoped for a quick halt that would cause to just cease to exist in the media, it’s likely going to be a slow-moving disaster where more and more people come forward and accuse Kim of manipulating PR to her advantage. While they’re most certainly not doing this out of the good of their hearts, it’s definitely interesting to start seeing the other side of Kim. Not the woman dreamed up in an E! brainstorming session, but the woman who did what she had to do to get famous.Ray J, her co-star in “Kim and Ray J Have Sex,” reveals in a new tell-all book that Kim cheated on her first husband Damon Thomas with Ray J.

In his new book, “Death of a Cheating Man: What Every Woman Must Know About Men Who Stray,” Ray J refers to a former flame who he dated for two years as “KK.” In addition to the initials matching those of Kardashian’s, the time frame given for the tryst matches the length of their relationship. Ray J, 31, claims “KK” pursued him and slept with him while she was still married to her first husband, music producer Damon Thomas. Kardashian has previously denied cheating on Damon, who she divorced after four years in 2004.

Cheating allegations certainly don’t put Kim in the best light. Especially considering her other ex-husband, Kris Humphries, supposedly also has juicy details about Kim to share. Details that she appears desperate to hide. Before her wedding she was some kind of American sweetheart. Maybe not the woman you wanted to be, but the woman you wanted to be friends with. She came out of nowhere and became famous for being famous. She made millions of dollars on endorsements, appearances and magazine covers. Weren’t we all a little jealous of the fact that she made a career of being herself?
But her now infamous 72 wedding last fall changed all that. Suddenly, everyone saw through her little act and started to think that her life choice were much more calculated than they realized. Who makes millions of dollars on a wedding and then gets divorced after 72 days? Someone with a motive.
Suddenly her legions of fans didn’t seem so loyal. People criticized her more openly and turned Kris Humphries into the victim. While I’ve never been inside a Kardashian PR meeting, I doubt this was the plan.
and now, with Ray J’s cheating accusations, it looks like this might be the beginning of the end. Kim Kardashian’s just another trashy reality star who’s 15 minutes in the spotlight are up.
