Undergraduate killed by suspected cultist in Imo state Nigeria

 

Suspected cultists yesterday August 4th shot dead a student of the Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, AIFUE ,in Owerii Imo state. The cult members reportedly pursued the victim from the school premises into the Federal Medical Center Owerri where he was shot at close range. He died instantly. His body has been deposited at the morgue while police have started investigations into the killing.

4-year-old girl shot in the head in a drive-by shooting

4 year old Martaisha Thomas, (left) was shot in the 700 block of Ridgeway Avenue in Avondale, Cincinnati last Thursday around 8:15 p.m in a drive-by shooting. She is in critical condition at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and presently fighting for her life.

According to the Cincinnati Police, the gunman (pictured right) Darnell Hicks, 20, was targeting someone in a group sitting outside the block but the little girl got hit. According to a news release from the police, Darnell is wanted for felonious assault in connection with the shooting. He's currently on the run.

Former Prime Minister Sir Edward Heath is now being probed by four different police forces as more alleged victims continue to come forward with sexual abuse claims.

Kent Police this afternoon became the fourth force to reveal it is probing Sir Edward after an alleged victim came forward to claim that the politician had assaulted them in the 1960s.

A spokesman said: 'We have today received a report of a sexual assault having been committed in east Kent in the 1960s.
