Possible human remains found in deadly California wildfire

 

 Authorities may have found human remains Saturday within a voracious wildfire in central California that has claimed two lives and burned 150 homes.

The tally rose from 80 homes as firefighters began going through neighborhoods to count houses and mobile homes incinerated by the blaze.

In one mobile home, they found what appears to be a set of human remains, but because they were so badly burned forensic investigators will have to determine whether they belonged to a person or animal, Kern County Sheriff's spokesman Ray Pruitt said.

A report of his stolen vehicle has been made to the police; a signal already sent across Lagos state; one of his many phone lines retrieved; and a phone bought for easy communication.”

Boy, 12, kicked out of school for visiting dying grandad with his heartbroken family

A young boy has lost his place at his secondary school - for visiting his dying grandad.

Josh Palfrey was kicked out of Barr Beacon School in Walsall for travelling to Alaska to carry out his grandfather’s final wish, according to the Birmingham Mail.

Arthur Palfrey, aged 83, had said he wanted his family around him when he slipped away.

Last night Josh made a plea to be allowed back into school, where he says he has lots of friends.

He said: “Please allow me to come back to school. I only left to visit my dying granddad in Alaska.”

Senior staff, however, are standing firm.

They say that Josh’s father was warned of the official policy and the repercussions of snubbing those rules.

“You never think it’ll be your child and you never think the sun in Britain could be fierce enough to kill, but Freja’s story is proof that it is.

Exercise Swift Response 16, a month-long operation led by US forces, was conducted to keep up with traditional and newer methods of combat. Over 5,000 troops from nations such as France, Germany, Great Britain, and Italy took part in this massive airborne exercise to conduct a rapid-response, joint forcible-entry scenario. While working with their European allies, US forces also participated in notable scenarios, such as staging a base within 18 hours of notification.

Rapper Drake has been sued by one of his former producers, an artist called Detail who contributed two songs to the rapper's 2013 album "Nothing Was the Same," TMZ reports.

The producer claims that Drake offered him a job as the rapper's "exclusive producer" in 2014. Detail turned down the job, and afterward Drake allegedly invited him to the rapper's estate in Calabasas, California, on "the pretext of working together again."

Detail claims that when he arrived at the estate, he was met by Drake's bodyguard, Chubbs, who allegedly assaulted him and broke his jaw while threatening him, according to the suit.

According to this unconfirmed report shared by a Ghanaian yesterday, a school teacher identified as Emma is on the run after he allegedly brutally hacked his wife with machete. She wrote;

Prime Minister of Cambodia fined by state traffic regulators for not wearing a helmet while having a ride on a motorcycle

The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, has been fined by the traffic police for not wearing a helmet during a motorbike ride even after apologizing publicly for the mistake. He is pictured above with the motorcycle rider.

The fine worth 15,000 riel, approximately $3.75 was issued in a traffic ticket to the rider as well for violating article 6 of the traffic law.

The Prime Minister has accepted to pay his own fine and that of the motorbike owner. He further added that the parliamentary immunity does not pardon political office holders from breaking traffic laws.

"I appreciate Koh Kong province's Sre Ampel district police who enforce the law without discrimination and without fear of the powerful people including the prime minister," he said

Hun Sen rode the motorbike with the motorbike's owner for fun for about 250 meters without wearing a helmet.

A marathon runner who was almost killed by a bear shares details of her survival

Karen Williams was running a marathon in New Mexico when she was attacked by a bear just a few miles from the finish line. After the athlete sprinted past one of the bear’s cubs she got viciously attacked by the animal that tried to kill her. Luckily Karen outsmarted the bear by pretending to be dead. A woman named Mojisola Jaqueen Ajenifuja has allegedly inflicted deep cut on her 15 year old son, Abdulgafar Ajenifuja's head, following his refusal to wash plates. The boy was said to have fled their Ikorodu, Lagos residence, after the incident, appealing to the public to save him and his siblings from their mother who he termed 'violent'.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is watching over a former Comptroller-General of Nigerian Customs Service(NCS), Abdullahi Inde  Dikko in a hospital in Abuja.

Dikko, who is being investigated over alleged N42billion fraud, has been in hospital since he surrendered to the EFCC for interrogation  last  Thursday.

A top source in the anti- graft commission, who spoke in confidence, said: “When Dikko reported at the EFCC, he was looking pale. It was obvious that his health was in bad shape.

“We interacted with him and relocated him to a hospital for treatment. From the first day, we allowed him to stay in hospital. Our operatives are only watching over him at the hospital.

“We need to set the records straight. He was never at any time detained in EFCC’s custody because of his frail health. But we are monitoring him in a hospital.”

Man dies in cinema while watching The Conjuring 2 and his body goes missing

A 65-year-old Indian man, Andhra Pradesh, died in a movie theatre last week while watching a screening of The Conjuring 2. The incident occurred at the Sri Balasubramaniar Cinema in Tiruvannamalai, a town in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Pradesh, had complained of chest pains while watching the film, and fainted shortly afterwards.

He was rushed to a nearby Old Government Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. Medics ordered his body to be sent to the Tiruvannamalai Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem but, according to the Times of India, his body, and the person charged with taking the body there, have both gone missing.

Pictures taken at Anton Yelchin’s home show the bent metal security gate that pinned his body with such force it killed him.

The Star Trek actor, who was just 27 years old, was found dead in the driveway of his home in the early hours of Sunday morning after he failed to show up at an 11pm Saturday night rehearsal.

His worried friends visited his San Fernando Valley home around 1am to check on him and found him pinned between his car and the security gate at the bottom of the driveway which is on a steep incline.

According to TMZ, he had just left home and had cleared the gate but then, for an unknown reason, got out of his car which he left in neutral.
