The EU’s migration system is TEN DAYS from 'completely breaking down' if the number of people arriving in Europe is not curbed, Brussels migration chief warns

Refugees and migrants try to get food distributed by Greek volunteers after their arrival from the eastern Greek islands to the Athens' port of Piraeus

The EU's migration system is just ten days from 'completely breaking down' if it does not curb the number of people arriving in Europe, the bloc's migration commissioner has warned.
Europe has until a March 7 summit with Turkey to restrict the flow of refugees into the continent or face a melt down in the EU's migration set up, according to Dimitris Avramopoulos.
He told a meeting of interior ministers in Brussels today: 'In the next 10 days, we need tangible and clear results on the ground. Otherwise there is a risk that the whole system will completely break down.'
The EU remains deeply divided over how to handle the migrant crisis, especially over recent border closures by several member states that have threatened the passport-free Schengen area. Refugees are pictured lining up for food on the Greek-Macedonian border

Savagery: ISIS stoned two girls to death for adultery. File picture
Two teenage girls were savagely stoned to death by ISIS thugs in Syria - but the two men they were with escaped with just a whipping.
Hasna, 17, and Madiha, 16, died in the horrific and savage way in Deir ez-Zor city, eastern Syria, after being accused of committing adultery.
local media activist Ahmed Ramadan told ARA News: “The execution took place in the Hamidiya district of Deir ez-Zor on Tuesday afternoon, where hundreds of people gathered to witness the stoning of the two young girls.”
The ISIS-led Sharia Court released a statement claiming the girls were seized in a house "with two strangers" - an act strictly forbidden under Islamic State's twisted interpretation of Islam.
After an investigation by Sharia officials, "The victims were accused of committing adultery with two older men, identified by the Sharia Court as Abu Zubair al-Idlbi and Maher Hameed," the source reported.
The two men escaped the same sickening punishment as the girls and instead were publicly flogged with 50 lashes each.
“The decision of the Sharia Court raised the anger of Deir ez-Zor’s residents, who considered it unfair to kill the two girls by stoning and merely flog the men and set them free,” Ramadan added.

Stripper Leaves Her 2-Year-Old Alone At Home To Die In NY Fire

ifwt_Stripper
Yesterday, the internet blew up as soon as this extremely disturbing story broke.
A stripper by the name of Leila Aquino left her two-year-old daughter home alone during the middle of the night to go “work” an afties spot in New York. At around 7AM, a fire started in her building and her daughter, Kaleenah Muldrow, unfortunately lost her life. The fire department found the little girl under the bed, as it appears she was trying to hide from the flames of the burning fire.
Leila came home at around 9AM to realize there was a fire in her building along with the fact her toddler was no longer alive. She had told authorities (and her baby father) that she had a sitter watching her daughter. However, police questioned the baby sitter about it, and she had informed them that she stopped working for Aquino months prior due to the fact she wouldn’t pay her.

Charges Against Brooklyn Gang Rape Suspects Dropped After Victim Admits Having Sex With Her Father

IFWT_Brooklyn Gang Rape
Earlier this year we reported five Brooklyn teens were arrested and charged with the gang rape of an 18 year-old girl at a Brownsville Park. The victim reported that while out for a walk with her father; Denzel Murray, 14; Shaquell Cooper, 15; Ethan Phillip, 15; Onandi Brown, 17, and Travis Beckford, 17, held them at gunpoint and raped her. The teens were charged, as adults, with one count of rape and sex abuse, and two counts of committing a criminal sex act. The victim has since recanted her story and now claims that not only did the group of teens not have a gun, they walked upon her while she was having sexual relations with her father.
According to Brooklyn DA Ken Thompson, “The complainant has recanted her allegations of forcible sexual assault and the existence of a gun, and she does not wish to pursue criminal charges against any of the defendants. She also refuses to cooperate with any prosecution against her father, who was engaging in sexual conduct with her.”

32 things you should never say to your boss

Honesty is the best policy in the workplace — but like any rule, this one has a few exceptions.
"It's important to be cautious with what you say to your boss, as even the slightest slip up could make or break your career," says Ryan Kahn, a career coach, founder ofThe Hired Group, and author of "Hired! The Guide for the Recent Grad."
"There are the obvious things to hold back from saying to your boss, but the key is to dissect the little things in your interactions."
Lynn Taylor, a national workplace expert and the author of "Tame Your Terrible Office Tyrant: How to Manage Childish Boss Behavior and Thrive in Your Job," agrees. "There are certain comments and questions based on negative perspectives that can set you back with your boss," she says. "If they continue unabated, these phrases can sabotage an otherwise great job."
A good practice is to first pause before blurting out something you might regret and examine what you're trying to achieve, and the likely reaction you'll get from your boss.

The Italian press reports she worked as a kind of gatekeeper for the Pontiff, as well as for the bishops and cardinals who stay there.
The Pope opted to live at the Santa Marta guesthouse after his appointment in 2013, rejecting the grand papal apartments because he found them too sumptuous and he feared isolation.

Robotic third arm turns musician into cyborg drummer

robot_drummer.PNG (1274×671)
After an accident fused a quartet of robotic limbs to his body, nuclear physicist Dr. Otto Octavius devoted himself to a life of crime and fighting Spider-Man. However, villainy isn't the only option for people either blessed or cured with extra mechanical appendages—they can also choose to rock.
Researchers at Georgia Tech's Center for Music Technology have created a robotic arm that attaches to a drummer's body and improvises drum parts based on what the human drummer is playing.
Gil Weinberg, the director of the Center for Music Technology, says in a video about the project that music is an ideal challenge for researchers working in the area of integrating robotic limbs into human movement. “Music is something that is very timely," said Weinberg, who also led the project. "You really need to do things on the right millisecond. It's also very spacial. You need to go to the right places.

This lightweight robotic exoskeleton is getting paralyzed people on their feet once again

Man wearing SuitX assistance gear
"I am not the robot, I wear the robot," Steven Sanchez said of the Phoenix robotic exoskeleton that is helping paralyzed people walk again. The Phoenix, developed by SuitX, is a modular robotic device that enables people with limited mobility walk with the fluidity of natural movement.
Sanchez, now 28-years-old, was paralyzed 11 years ago in a BMX accident. He was casually playing around with fellow high schoolers on his bike when an accident left him immobile from the waist down.
For the last four years he's been working with SuitX on the development, design, and technical execution of the lightweight machinery that's helped him regain mobility. Sanchez, a machinist by trade, is one of the first people in the world to walk with the Phoenix skeleton equipped.

A New York judge may have denied Kesha’s request to circumvent the terms of her recording contract last week, but the setback has only ignited her fans’ creativity for ways of showing support.
The pop singer and songwriter’s career has been in limbo since she accused longtime collaborator Lukasz Gottwald (aka Dr. Luke) with sexual assault and battery and he fired back with a countersuit. Sony, the label both of them have been working under, has remained silent on the issue, leaving Kesha’s ability to record or release any new music in limbo.

15 things you should do right before a big presentation

Woman Presentation

You have to give a big, important presentation in just 15 minutes. Your heart is racing, your palms are damp — you're starting to panic.
It's completely normal. In fact, most speakers, beginners and veterans alike, readily admit to feeling nervous in the moments leading up to a big speech or presentation.
Darlene Price, president, of Well Said, Inc. and author of "Well Said! Presentations and Conversations That Get Results," says instead of trying to lose the butterflies, you should aim to leverage them.
"The adrenaline surge can fuel your body with the energy and enthusiasm necessary for a great performance," she explains.
Whether you're stepping to the front of the room to speak to just a few people, or making a grand entrance in a ballroom to address thousands, here are 15 ways to effectively use the moments before you present to prepare your body and mind for peak performance

1. Talk positively to yourself.

1. Talk positively to yourself.
Vimeo
Claim your success before you begin, Price says.
"Let's learn from the experts in sports psychology. They've proven that an athlete's positive self-talk prior to and during a performance consistently creates a higher win rate," she explains.
What's more, research suggests that using your first name or the pronoun "you" instead of "I" can make it easier to deal with stressful experiences.
In the minutes leading up to your presentation, say over and over within yourself, "You are a dynamic speaker!" "You are enthusiastic and engaging!" "You are prepared and confident!"
"Write your own set of self-affirmations and confidently declare them," she advises. "Your words will create a self-fulling prophecy."

The Abuja House Exco lead by its Chairman Amana Onoja visited FGC Kwali Abuja

On the 20th day of February, 2016, The Abuja House Exco lead by its Chairman Amana Onoja visited FGC Kwali Abuja. We were honoured to be accompanied by Mr. Bernard Kwembeh Lolu Ojo ,Usman Abdullahi Gegu, Abubakar Audu Logo and Honourable Member of the House of Representatives Muhammad Kabir Ajanah. We were accompanied round the school by a willing principal who was eager that we as old students of this once great school take up our place in its history by contributing our quota to the rebuilding of its structures and more importantly, the character of its students.
While taking a tour around the school, we were saddened by its failing structures and the health conditions under which its students lived. As a matter of urgency, we have identified that one of the most pressing and immediate needs of the students relates to the state of their toilets.
Bombay which used to be way off in the forest has now relocated to the hostel. Dr. Aso Ofoegbu, Vice Chairman Abuja house and a medical practitioner described it as a medical catastrophy waiting to happen. On the spot contributions were made to cater for one or 2 pressing needs however more needs to be done.
Honourable Muhammad Kabir AjanahBernard Kwembeh Lolu OjoUsman Abdullahi Gegu, and Abubakar Audu Logo have made commitments to the cause which we are thankful for, however a lot more needs to be done and fast.
