A bride has fulfilled her dying wish by tying the knot just days after being told she has weeks to live.

Brave Lorraine Marsh had planned to wed her partner Shane Green next summer but the service was rushed forward after the 53-year-old was told she had terminal cancer.

Lorraine had gone to her doctors last Friday with what she thought was gallstones, but was stunned to be told she had pancreatic cancer that had spread to her liver.

After fearing she would not have enough time left to marry 54-year-old Shane, friends and family rallied around to donate £2,300 to the couple and even gave Lorraine a wedding dress so they could bring the service forward.

"I unreservedly apologise on behalf of the Metropolitan Police Service. I am aware that money alone cannot compensate the loss of time, their hurt or the feelings of abuse caused by these relationships."

A 19-month-old Houston girl was burned to death by an oven when the toddler’s mother and her mom’s boyfriend left three children home alone, police said.

A juvenile court judge ordered the two other children and another one of their siblings, aged 3, 3, and 5, into foster homes Wednesday in a custody hearing a day after J’zyra Thomspon died, Texas Child Protective Services spokeswoman Estella Olguin told the Daily News.

No one from J’zyra’s family showed up for the hearing, Olguin said. Efforts to contact her relatives were unsuccessful.

Three people, including a teen, were arrested after a police officer in California was ambushed and gunned down while sitting in his car in the department's parking lot, authorities said.

The shooting happened at about 11 p.m. Wednesday in Downey, located in southeast Los Angeles County. The victim, Ricardo "Ricky" Galvez, 29, was on duty but not in uniform at the time of the attack, according to authorities. The two attackers shot into Galvez's personal car before driving away, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lt. John Corina said.

The 2nd-largest diamond ever found was just recovered from a mine in Africa

A small Canadian diamond company has announced the discovery of the world's second-biggest gem-quality diamond ever recovered.

Lucara Diamond Corp. said the 1,111-carat stone was found at its Karowe mine in north-centralBotswana.

The Type IIa diamond measures 65 millimetres by 56mm by 40mm.

The biggest gem-quality diamond ever found is the Cullinan diamond, a 3,106-carat stone found in the Premier mine in South Africa in 1905.

It was cut into several polished gems, the two largest of which are part of Britain's crown jewels.

France launches massive airstrikes on ISIS in Syria

France responded with fury to the terror attacks on Paris, unleashing a series of airstrikes that destroyed an ISIS command post and a training camp in Syria on Sunday, officials said.

The “massive” operation pounded sites in and around the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, and involved 12 aircraft — including 10 fighter jets — launched simultaneously from bases in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, a French official said.

The air fleet dropped 20 bombs in total. One target was used as a “command post, jihadist recruitment center and arms and munitions depot,” the French Defense Ministry said in a statement.

A second target “held a terrorist training camp,” it said.

ISIS insisted it suffered no casualties and said the 20 targets were “abandoned sites,”the Guardian reported.

Meanwhile, an international manhunt was under way for a suspected eighth attacker, who escaped the three hours of carnage that killed 129 people at six sites in and around Paris on Friday.

The first Jihadi suicide bomber named in connection with the Paris terrorist attacksthat left at least 129 people dead has been named as Omar Ismail Mostefai, who was identified by his finger.

The digit was found among the carnage of the Bataclan concert hall, where the 29-year-old was one of three men who blew himself up killing 89 men, women and children

Born on 21 November 1985, in the Paris suburb of Courcouronnes, Mostefai’s criminal record shows eight convictions for petty crimes between 2004 and 2010.

Although he had never spent any time in jail, Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said Mostefai had been picked out as a high-priority target for radicalisation in 2010.

But before Friday, Mostefai had ‘never been implicated in an investigation or a terrorist association”.

Investigators are now investigating claims that he went to Syria last year, and may have spent time with IS terrorists.

One of the bombers who carried out the Paris terrorist attacks entered Europe as a Syrian migrant, according to foreign officials.

French authorities matched the remains of one of the suicide bombers from the Friday attacks to a Syrian passport that was used to apply for asylum in Europe, says Greek minister for citizen protection Nikos Toskas.

He said in a press statement, as cited by AFP: 

"We confirm that the (Syrian) passport holder came through the Greek island of Leros on October 3, where he was registered under EU rules."

Daycare Workers Fired For Refusing To Acknowledge Toddler As Transgender

Attorneys are now filing a lawsuit on behalf of two women who claim that they were wrongfully fired from a daycare center which demanded that they refer to a six-year-old girl as a transgendered boy.

Madeline Kirksey, a Christian author, says that she was terminated as the manager of the Children’s Lighthouse Learning Center because she would not go along with parents who’d decided to recognize their daughter as a boy. Her co-worker, Akesha Wyatt, was also let go for the same reason.

Houston, TX, attorney, Andy Taylor, who is most famous for his victory after challenging Houston’s HERO issue, is now taking a stance against their termination.

“This case involves a little 6-year-old girl who has been attending a private school in Katy, Texas for the last four months as a little girl.  She has parents who are a same-sex couple, two men, who decided that she was transgender,” Taylor said Tuesday afternoon at a news conference. “On Friday, that little girl left school. I’m not going to use names, but (she was) known to everybody as ‘Sally,’ and on Monday, this little girl returns to school calling herself ‘Johnny.'”
