Upon hearing word of the November 13 attacks on Paris, which killed 127 and wounded about 200 more, people and countries around the world began showing solidarity to Paris using everything from
peace signs to
popular hashtags.
In honor of the French flag, many famous landmarks around the world were lit up in blue, white, and red. From the US all the way to Sydney, Australia, the colorful photos make a strong statement of support.
Here's what some of the world's most famous landmarks looked like after the attacks in Paris.
City Hall in San Francisco was tricolored last night.
As was the Senate building in Mexico City, Mexico.
The Angel of Independence monument in Mexico City was also lit up for Paris.
Check out the CN Tower in Canada.
And One World Trade in New York City.
Here's the Sydney Opera House in Australia, decked out in blue, white, and red.
The London Eye was also lit for France.
