Production has begun on Clarkson and co's Amazon Prime show and from this sneak-peek it's clear the former Top Gear hosts are going all out.
Jeremy Clarkson teased the first day on set with a picture of the presenters, standing next to three hypercars and their production team.
"With a skeleton crew, filming for Amazon Prime's new motoring programme has begun," he captioned the picture, which is sure to excite motorheads eager to see Clarkson and his partners in crime back on their screens.
Co-presenter Richard Hammond tweeted a similar picture and confessed: "The band is back together and it feels brilliant."
It looks like the first day of shooting might have been a subtle dig at their old show and proof of the huge budget they're rumoured to have been allowed.
The picture features what appear to be a Ferrari LaFerrari, a McLaren P1, and a Porsche 918 - a head to head that was rumoured to feature on Top Gear - before the 'fracas' spectacularly scuppered the flagship program.
Clarkson was sacked by the BBC after he punched a Top Gear producer after a day of filming and Hammond and May soon left the organisation soon in favour of carrying on working with their friend.
The former Top Gear host and his co-presenters announced details of their internet series with Amazon Prime last week, which is said to have netted them £6million each.
They signed a global contract with the internet streaming service to produce 36 episodes of a new car series show over three years.
Speaking about the deal in his column for The Sun, Jeremy said bosses at Amazon Prime had been "delightfully clear" that they were willing to let the trio be in the driving seat.
He joked: "Along with out long-time producer, Andy Wilman, we have formed a production company which is called W Chump and Sons and we are now looking for an office, a rubber plant, some company cars and a name for our new programme."
He continued: "Then we will be off. To make what will be a seriously well-funded, British-based show with no commercial breaks and, better still, no editorial pressure from on high.
"Amazon has been delightfully clear on that. 'Just make the show you wanna make, guys'. Music to my ears."
Jay Marine, Vice President of Amazon Prime Video EU, said: “Customers told us they wanted to see the team back on screen, and we are excited to make that happen.
“Millions of Prime members are already enjoying our ground-breaking original shows. We can’t wait to see what Jeremy, Richard, James and the team will create in what is sure to be one of the most globally anticipated shows of 2016.”
The new show will be available exclusively to Amazon Prime customers next year.
