Mariah Carey is coming to Empire!
Show creator Lee Daniels confirmed the news during Carey's Walk of Fame ceremony earlier Wednesday (Aug. 5). "I love you with all my heart and am so proud of you. Watch her on Empire, you guys. She's coming on Empire."

No details so far on what role Carey will play, but if true ( according to The Hollywood Reporter, an official deal is not yet in place) she'll join previously announced guest stars such as Ludacris, Kelly Rowland, Marisa Tomei, Snoop Dogg, Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Ne-Yo, on the second season of the buzzy Fox drama.
Empire returns in September.
