VMA Host Kevin Hart's Predictions: 'Unexpected' Mouth Kisses, Naughty Celebrity Seatbelts

Comedian Kevin Hart has hung with rap royalty, but when the action cranks up at Thursday's 2012 MTV Video Music Awards broadcast, he made a number of shocking revelations: he had a seatbelt installed for a celeb known for jumping up out of his chair in excitement, he plans to kiss all the girls and the performance he's most excited about is ... Green Day?
"This is gonna be a big deal, let's just go out and say it people," Hart told the gathered media swarm at a press conference on the roof of Staples Center on Tuesday (September 4) about what he has planned for the show, which will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT. "This year will be a big deal. Why? Because I say it's gonna be a big deal. How do I know? Because I'm a part of this. Being I'm a part of it, means that it's gonna be colossal! Huge!"
Hart promised a really big show, revealing
that Rihanna will open the festivities with a collaboration featuring A$AP Rocky and another with the night's house DJ, Calvin Harris.
And though he couldn't show all his cards, he promised that Nicki Minaj will also grace the stage with a secret, previously announced performer guest and that 2 Chainz will make his VMA debut.
Considering the long history of unscripted celebrities-gone-wild moments at the VMAs, Hart promised he's already made plans to head off any potentially embarrassing moments. "What we did was we banned the artists that we feel are capable of doing such a thing," he joked. "Lil Mama is not allowed in the building. We actually got a seat belt in Kanye [West's] seat ... little things we did this year that they didn't think to do last year ... [but] I don't think we're going to have any incidents. And if we do? This is the place for it, it's MTV! It's the VMAs, you want the stupid stuff to happen ... so I'm hoping that somebody does do something stupid."
But one of the biggest revelations of the day was when an intrepid MTV News reporter asked Hart which performer viewers might be surprised he's most excited to see. "Green Day!" he said excitedly about the legendary punk trio he filmed a hilarious VMA promo with. "I had the pleasure of meeting Green Day and I wasn't educated on their music or what they've done and after talking to them I went and Googled some of their music and I liked it! Yes, people! I'm a young black man that likes Green Day! You heard it here."
Picking up from his massive closing performance at the 2011 Video Music Awards, VMA nominee Lil Wayne will also drop by for the proceedings to make the worldwide debut of his new single "No Worries," from his new mixtape, Dedication 4. Katy Perry will present the first award of the night, for Best Pop Video and pre-show performer Demi Lovato has been added as a presenter as well.
When another reporter asked if Hart anticipated any awkward or dramatic moments between him and the night's guests, the comedian said he absolutely had some planned. "Yes, I plan on kissing a lot of women in the mouth ... unexpectedly," he said. "It's just what I'm going for. I'm gonna try it, see what happens: Rihanna, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, just throwing out a few names."
The first-ever VMAs at Staples Center (which air at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with a pre-show at 7 p.m.) will also feature previously announced performances from One Direction, Taylor Swift, Pink, Frank Ocean and, of course, Green Day.
