Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Nicki Minaj Set To Perform At 2012 VMAs!



LOS ANGELES — With the hours ticking down to Thursday's 2012 MTV Video Music Awards broadcast, the musical treats in store for viewers keep getting sweeter.
We already told you that Rihanna is on tap to perform, but now we can reveal that she'll open the show with a collaboration featuring A$AP Rocky.
She'll serve up a sexy performance of the official remix of her Talk That Talk single
"Cockiness" with Rocky. You can listen to "Cockiness (Love It) " right now exclusively on Rihanna.MTV.com
as well as on her official site! Then Harris will step up to give an assist on the pair's VMA-nominated #1 global smash, "We Found Love." The "Cockiness" remix will be available for purchase on iTunes immediately after the performance.
If that's not enough star power for you, Nicki Minaj will also grace the stage with a secret guest and 2 Chainz will make his VMA debut.
Picking up from his massive closing performance at the 2011 Video Music Awards, VMA nominee Lil Wayne will also drop by for the proceedings to make the worldwide debut of his new single "No Worries," from his new mixtape, Dedication 4. Katy Perry will present the first award of the night, for Best Pop Video and pre-show performer Demi Lovato has been added as a presenter as well.
The first-ever VMAs at Staples Center (which air at 8 p.m. ET/PT, with a pre-show at 7 p.m.) will also feature previously announced performances from One Direction, Taylor Swift, Pink, Green Day and Frank Ocean.
Confirmed presenters include the Wanted, Andy Samberg, Rashida Jones, Ke$ha, Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller and the "Fierce Five," the 2012 gold medal-winning U.S. Women's Gymnastics Team. Korean rapper and "Gangnam Style" YouTube sensation Psy, who was just signed to Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun's record label will also be in the house.
