Woman Hires Hit Man To Kill A Random Person Wearing Fur

Animal rights activists are known for their unfailing endeavors aimed at ensuring that animals are not treated as property. Their efforts have gone on to save the lives of many animals around the world; however, for Meredith Lowell of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, raising awareness for the ethical treatment of animals involved a plan to hire a hit man through Facebook to kill a random person wearing fur.
According to CNN, 27-year-old Lowell created a fake Facebook account hoping to attract a hit man to agree to her request proposing that the hit man murder a random person wearing fur at a library nearby her home. Lowell’s main objective was to pass out pamphlets about animal cruelty following the crime.“I would like to create an online community on Facebook which would allow me to find someone who is willing to kill someone who is wearing fur toward the end of October 2011, or early November 2011, or possibly in January 2012, or February 2012, at the latest,” Lowell wrote on the social networking site.
The NY Daily News reported that Lowell’s fake Facebook was created under the name of Anne Lowery and offered a $830 to $850 reward for the completed job.
What’s more, Lowell began speaking with an undercover FBI employee who acted as a hit man interested in the job.
“You need to bring a gun that has a silencer on it and that can be easily concealed in your pants pocket or coat. … If you do not want to risk the possibility of getting caught with a gun before the job, bring a sharp knife that is (at least) 4 inches long; it should be sharp enough to stab someone and/or slit their throat to kill them. I want the person to be dead in less than 2 minutes,” Lowell wrote to the FBI agent in an email.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Lowell ended up offering the agent $100 to finish the job by October 2012.
3m360News reported that, according to a police affidavit, Lowell’s emails indicate her determination to leave her home because her family members eat meat and wear wool.
