Republicans officially nominated Donald Trump for president on Tuesday night at their party's convention in Cleveland, leading to a flood of responses on social media.

Hillary Clinton, Trump's Democratic rival, was quick to claim some of the spotlight, posting the message "Let's do this" on Twitter, along with an animated GIF from her January appearanceon "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon.

"Does he intimidate you, Donald Trump?" host Fallon asked Clinton during her appearance.

Clinton's answer was terse: "No," she said, breaking out into a smile.

She is expected to formally receive her party's nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia later this month.

In an exclusive interview with Sahara Reporters, television and film producer, Benjamin Ogunbodede, has narrated how some police officers in Lagos followed him to the ATM machine to collect a N10,000 bribe on July 16th.

According to Benjamin, he was on his way home last Friday, July 15th when he picked up a lady who was going his way. As he approached his destination, he drove into a checkpoint mounted by some mobile police officers and was puled over, and asked to hand over his drivers license which he gave to them.

They also asked for him to open his boot which he did. Seeing that he had nothing incriminating on him, the next question was his connection with the lady in his car. He said she was just someone he offered a lift. The officers then accused him of kidnapping and human trafficking. “I told them I was just giving her a lift since I was going in the same direction,” he said

A man has allegedly been brutally beaten to death by an angry mob for stealing a laptop. This was revealed by Odior Oshioke who shared the pictures  of the gruesome murder on twitter.

As Baton Rouge police officers went about their normal routines on Sunday morning, they didn’t know that a trained killer was stalking them.

Several law enforcement agencies described Gavin Long’s movements in chilling detail during a press conference on Monday.

Long, who turned 29 that day, arrived in Baton Rouge six days earlier. While his activities in the days prior to the shootings are unknown, police believe he tailed officers to familiarize himself with their hangouts.

Just before 9 a.m. Sunday, Long spotted a police car parked outside a convenience store.

Long, dressed head-to-toe in black, carried a IWR Tavor SAR 5.56 rifle (for deadly accuracy at close range) and a 9mm pistol. A M4 assault rifle was staged in his car.

He parked near the convenience store and approached the police vehicle with his weapon aimed and ready. But the vehicle was empty.

Donald Trump Names Omarosa Director of African American Outreach

IF Donald Trump wins the presidential election in November, there will be at least one prominent black woman in his cabinet.

Omarosa Manigault has been named Trump’s Director of African American Outreach.

Omarosa revealed her high profile position on MSNBC on Monday.

“It happened this week,” she said. “It’s really an extension of the work that the [National Diversity Coalition for Trump] has already been doing and so I’m very happy to take up that cause for Donald Trump.”

The 42-year-old reality TV star is one of the most recognizable faces from Trump’s popular Apprentice reality TV series.

In an interview with Time Out New York last year, the 27-year-old New York native said he did not support Black Lives Matter or Ferguson.

He added: “I don’t wanna talk about no Ferguson and shit because I don’t live over there! I live in fucking Soho and Beverly Hills. I can’t relate. I’m in the studio; I’m in the fashion studios; I’m in these bitches’ drawers. I’m not doing anything outside of that. That’s my life.”.
