BET Considers Chris Brown Reality TV Series; Singer Denies Potential Show

BET Considers Chris Brown Reality TV Series; Singer Denies Potential Show
UPDATE: BET has reportedly held focus groups to see if a Chris Brown reality series would appeal to viewers. Brown says it's not for him.
BET is looking into airing a Chris Brown reality television series, according to TMZ.
The network has reportedly held focus groups to see if the show appeals to viewers.
BET is willing to air the Chris Brown series, which would chronicle Brown's life and daily events after his time in jail, according to the publication's sources.
Production companies are reportedly trying to work out different deals with Brown.
On Tuesday (June 24), a focus group was held in California, according to the report. Participants in the group were asked if they would tune in to a Brown reality show. TMZ says the focus group was comprised of African American women and that they were split. Nevertheless, the report says a majority would view the show to see if Brown would make mistakes on his journey to stay free from drugs and violence.
BET has not addressed the potential series.
Chris Brown was released from prison earlier this month. This year, he was involved in an altercation in Washington D.C. while the singer was on parole. Brown and his bodyguard allegedly punched a person outside of their hotel. This year, Brown was also in rehab, however he was later kicked out of the rehabilitation facility for breaking its rules. The singer-rapper was reportedly asked to leave the facility after throwing a rock at his mother's car when she visited him.

UPDATE: Chris Brown denies a potential reality series.
When asked about this by TMZ, Brown responded: "Nah, not for me, man."

R. Kelly Addresses Transgender Child, Jay

R. Kelly Addresses Transgender Child, Jay
R. Kelly says the public should be wary of what is being reported about his transgender child, Jay.
Singer R. Kelly's 13-year-old child Jay came out as being a transgender individual earlier this month via social media but since, Jay's father been silent on the matter.
Recently sitting down with Chicago's WGCI 107.5, Kells broke his silence about his family.
“You don’t really want to open it up by saying my daughter is becoming my son,” R. Kelly said. “You gotta know there’s a back story. There’s a background. That’s why you can’t judge nobody.”
When asked about reports via "the blogs" about Jay becoming a male, Kelly said not to trust them and only "believe what you see."
“Don’t even give the blogs that kind of credit. You know what I’m saying? Real talk,” he said. “As far as that is concerned, always believe what you see with your own eyes that is. Always believe what you see. That is the best way to go about this business... I’ve heard a lot of things about a lot of people and it was never true.”
Jay has not been as shy about expressing his gender status. Born Jaya, Jay recently took to Instagram to reveal what he looks like as a teenage boy. Also, in a Ask.fm Q&A session, Jay said he's identified as being a boy since he was "six or seven" years old and is eager to undergo gender reassignment surgery.
3m360 recently reported R. Kelly's ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, believed her ex-husband hasn't been as accepting of their transgender child, saying he still refers to Jay as his daughter.

Below is an update on the story from Punch
Woman who stole co-tenant’s child is a ‘prayer warrior’ –Neighbours of kidnap suspect
Rosemary Chukwu is a member of the ritualist church that kidnapped a neigbour's 6 year old child and locked him in her toilet.
Rosemary Chukwu had become a sort of nuisance to her neighbours. Many times, they had complained about her praying habit.
“She would shout and scream and make noise while praying. She makes everybody uncomfortable. That is what everybody knows about her here. This is why we are still in shock about what she did,” said one of her neighbours at 33, Omo Ologede area in Majidun, Lagos.
But what Chukwu is currently embroiled in is simply shocking for the neighbours.
The woman allegedly stole the seven-year-old child of her neighbour, Mrs. Gloria Emeka. In fact, our correspondent learnt from neighbours who caught her in the act that the timely intervention of security agents saved her from being lynched.
When our correspondent visited Omo Ologede on Wednesday, it was noticed that Chukwu and parents of the kidnapped child were co-tenants.
Another neighbour in the same compound, Biola Odunsin, narrated how he, in conjunction with other neighbours, caught Chukwu.
He said, “It was around 6.30am today (Wednesday), when the mother of the child raised the alarm that she could not find her son, Emmanuel.
“We all rallied around her to find out what happened. She informed us that she had sent him to fetch water from the well in the compound. She raised the alarm because her son took too long and when she went to the well, she only saw the empty bucket the boy took there.
“While we were looking for the child, Rosemary (Chukwu) even came out to join in searching for the child as well. She was pitying her mother, showing concern and asking us to check some other parts of the compound.”
One of the neighbours who also took part in the search for the child, told Saturday PUNCHthat Chukwu even asked him to see whether the child was in another compound not far from the house.
Two other neighbours named Yakubu and Vincent told our correspondent that they entered the well where the child was sent to fetch water.
“We entered the well to see if the boy fell inside but we found nothing,” they said.
But while the search for the child was going on, Chukwu was said to have gone inside her apartment and came out with a large luggage.

“She carried the luggage on her head and passed by us as we searched for the child. She said she needed to drop the bag somewhere and that she would come to join the search later,” Odunsin said.
But a suspicious woman, the wife of the landlord of the house, alerted the search party, telling them to search the bag Chukwu had on her head before she was allowed to leave.

When the residents called after her to tell her to bring the bag for a check, she reportedly began to run. But a moment later, she was caught.
“We immediately opened the bag and inside was Emmanuel with a cloth used to gag him. The child would have died because he could not speak again. We tried hard before we could resuscitate him,” Odunsi explained.

However, the infuriated neighbours descended on Chukwu and while they were beating her, she screamed out that they should spare her because she was only a messenger.
“Pastor Ernest sent me! Please don’t kill me, Pastor Ernest sent me o!” she was reported to have told the party of residents.

Then Chukwu took the party to the church of the pastor who she claimed sent her, which turned out to be Pastor Ernest Nwankwo of the Holy Family Happy Family Ministry (House of Mercy), Majidun.

One of the residents who took Chukwu to the church said by the time they got there, the pastor was nowhere to be found. She was later handed over to the police who took her away.
A photograph of Chukwu obtained by our correspondent showed a plump, fair complexioned woman with a motherly face. She is said to have four children – two boys and two girls.
Neighbours said they had not seen her husband, as he was usually away from home even though they are still together.

When our correspondent visited the church on Wednesday, a crowd of residents had besieged the place, barely kept at bay by some sternly looking policemen who were said to have prevented the church from being burnt down earlier by angry residents.
Despite this, some youths had succeeded in entering the church before the police came and seized hundreds of audio CDs of an album recorded by the pastor.

The youths publicly and excitedly sold the CDs on the Ikorodu Road to motorists and passers-by for N50 each.

The policemen rebuffed every attempt to gain access to the empty church, while residents of houses nearby could not provide any information about the whereabouts of the pastor.
Some residents who pleaded anonymity informed Saturday PUNCH that the church was not a conventional one.

“They don’t hold service on Sundays, only on Tuesday and Thursday. The pastor claims to treat mad men,” one of them told our correspondent.

An eyewitness, who entered the church before police intervention, said when they stormed the church earlier, they met a man with his hands and legs shackled in chains.

“I am not a mad man. Please help me! I was taken from around Redeemed Church Camp on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Pastor Ernest kept me here. There were many of us but they usually come to take away,” the man, who gave his name as Onuora Okeke, was reported to have said. The man also revealed to the people that he was from Anambra State and had been locked up in the church since 2012. Our correspondent learnt the man was taken away by the police.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, said the Chukwu would soon be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba for investigation.

She also confirmed that the pastor of the church has not been found.

Super Eagles boycott training over bonus money

World Cup 2014:

Super Eagles players reportedly missed a scheduled training session yesterday after a disagreement with officials of the National Football Federation over bonus money.
BBC Sports reports that the players believe they are each $15,000 (£8,800) short of what they were expecting for reaching the last 16 in Brazil.

The players refused to train in Campinas on Thursday and NFF officials later confirmed the session had been cancelled. Continue...

From BBC

BBC Sport has learned the problem lies in the interpretation of the bonus structure, with the players believing they will only receive $10,000 for their win 1-0 over Bosnia-Hercegovina and $5,000 for the 0-0 draw with Iran.
The players' understanding was they would receive a $30,000 payment for qualifying from the group.
However, it is believed the Nigerian Football Federation's offer to the players includes the agreed win and draw bonuses plus 30% of the prize money due from Fifa for reaching the knockout stage.
This is understood to rise to 40% of the prize money from Fifa if Nigeria were to win their round of 16 match, 50% for a quarter-final victory, 60% for a win in the semi-final stage and 70% for lifting the trophy.
While all parties work to find a resolution to the misunderstanding, coach Stephen Keshi has insisted it will not affect the team's performance.
And it has been confirmed to the BBC that the players will travel to Brasilia on Friday as scheduled and will train in the evening and over the weekend.

Meet Vincent Enyeama, the World Cup's most chill goalkeeper

Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is either intensely bored by the sport of soccer or he's simply the most chill dude on the pitch. Either way, nothing's going to to stop him from getting his lean on.
Let's take a look at some of Enyeama's all-time greatest leans, starting with this compilation from the 2010 World Cup. In the middle photo, the ball is actually inside the box but "Chill Vince" just doesn't care.

Son-in-law admits involvement in murder of Monaco heiress

Wojciech Janowski, the son-in-law of the 77-year old heiress Helene Pastor, leaves a police station in Nice
Wojciech Janowski, the son-in-law of the 77-year old heiress Helene Pastor, leaves a police station in Nice
The son-in-law of the 77-year old heiress of one of Monaco’s richest families has admitted to involvement in her murder last month, Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin told AFP on Friday.
Wojciech Janowski, a 64-year old who is also Poland’s honorary consul in Monaco, “recognised his involvement” in the killing of Helene Pastor while in detention this week, Robin said.
He said more details would be revealed at a press conference in Marseille at 1500 GMT.
Janowski has been in custody since Monday, when he was arrested along with 22 others by police investigating the shooting of Pastor multiple times as she was leaving a hospital in the French Riviera city of Nice on May 6.
Her driver, Mohammed Darwich, 64, also died from injuries sustained in the attack.
Janowski’s 53-year-old partner Sylvia, Pastor’s eldest daughter, was also detained for questioning but released on Thursday without charge.
Prosecutors had until the end of the day Friday to charge those detained or release them.
Robin said earlier that police had identified two suspects alleged to have been hitmen hired to kill Pastor.
The two men — a 31-year old and a 24-year old from Marseille’s rough northern districts — had been identified as being “present at the location of the killing”.
They were identified thanks to surveillance cameras, mobile telephone records and traces of DNA found in a Nice hotel where they stayed on the day of the killing.
Police are also said to be investigating “suspicious financial flows” in Janowski’s accounts.
Pastor had inherited a huge real estate and construction business set up by her Italian grandfather Jean-Baptiste Pastor, a stone mason who moved to Monaco in 1880.
As the sleepy principality in the French Riviera slowly grew into a playground for the world’s rich and famous, the family’s fortune skyrocketed.
The real jackpot came in 1966 when Prince Rainier, whose fairytale wedding to Hollywood actress Grace Kelly helped catapult Monaco to international fame, gave permission to Helene Pastor’s father Gildo to build high-rise buildings along the seafront.

'The View' Firing Massacre

0626-the-view-04

"The View" is cleaning house.  Network sources tell us the cast has been fired... except for Whoopi Goldberg.

Our sources say there was a meeting at ABC late Thursday afternoon and they announced Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy were out.   Sources tell us executive producer Bill Geddie also will not be coming back.

Maybe not coincidentally ... Barbara Walters is scheduled to be on the show Friday (though it did tape on Wednesday).

"The View" has been in turmoil since Jenny was hired ... it messed up the chemistry on the show.

And several sources say there's a real chance Rosie O'Donnell will be coming back.  We're also told producers are "very interested" in Laila Ali.
We're also told the show is interested in Ross Mathews and Jesse Palmer.
Jenny tweeted late Thursday, "My View will be changing too. As will with many hard working folks. Thanks to everyone at the show for your dedication and an amazing year."

Avicii Ecstasy Triggered Mass Hospitalization At Avicii Concert

Avicii Ecstasy
Ecstasy played a central role in the 911 emergency Wednesday night that sent dozens of Avicii concertgoers to the hospital ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources in Boston tell TMZ ... some of the concertgoers were high on ecstasy and it created a dangerous situation, because the pit area was extremely hot and crowded.  Dehydration is a common side effect for ecstasy users.  Many of those taken to the ER were severely dehydrated.

What's unclear ... where all the concertgoers got the ecstasy and if a particular batch feuled the emergency.

One concertgoer tells TMZ ... in addition to hard drugs, the place smelled like weed and puke and some people were so wasted they were falling down stairs, urinating in the back rows, and passing out.

In all, 36 people were taken to local hospitals and additional 50 were treated at the scene.

Abuja bomb blast: Survivors responding to treatment – Hospital spokesperson

“We lost one out of seven patients that were brought here yesterday.”
The National Hospital spokesperson, Tayo Haastrup, has said that six of the seven patients brought to the hospital after Wednesday’s bomb blast at EMAB Plaza, Abuja, were still receiving treatment.
Mr. Haastrup, however, disclosed that the seventh victim was so badly burnt that he did not survive.
The dead was one of two victims brought to the hospital in critical condition, while the other is still in critical condition.
“We lost one (on Wednesday) because he was badly burnt and could not survive. We tried everything we could but he did not make it. The other person (in a critical condition) is currently in intensive care receiving treatment. Hers is also bad but we are hoping she will survive,” the spokesperson said.
He said that the other five were responding to treatment though their conditions were not as critical as the other two.
“They were all burnt badly, but thank God they are responding to treatment and we believe that by tomorrow some of them should be able to talk,” he said.
Mr. Haastrup assured that enough hands were on ground to attend to the patients and there were adequate facilities to take care of them.
“We have enough doctors already to attend to the patients and we have enough facilities to aid the treatment, so presently there are no challenges,” he said.
Seven victims of the  bomb blast were rushed to the National Hospital, Abuja while seven dead bodies were taken to the mortuary at the hospital. However, two of the corpses were transferred to other hospitals as there was no space in the mortuary.
A bomb blast rocked the EMAB Plaza on Aminu Kano Crescent in Wuse 2, Abuja, on Wednesday evening, killing an initial 21 people with 17 reported injured. The bomb went off at about 4:00 p.m. outside the gate of the plaza.

Britney Spears' Nipples Poke Through Her Shirt After Workout—Hey, It's Cold in the Gym!

Britney SpearsJack-RS-Chris-Primo/X17online.com
Hey, it can be really cold in the gym—especially when it's hot outside in L.A.
Britney Spears finished up a workout Thursday and was still showing the effects of a cranked-up AC despite the sunny weather, her sports bra and thin tank-top unable to keep her nipples from poking through.
Sorry, it was, er...hard not to notice. (Where is a sauna suit when you need one?!)
Otherwise, it was just a usual trip to the gym for the incredibly disciplined pop star, who, when she isn't onstage or with her kids, always seems to be just finishing a workout or dance rehearsal.
And we're hardly the only ones who admire Britney's commitment to her fitness regimen.
None other than Miranda Lambert, whose skinnier than ever bod makes headlines nearly every time she leaves the house, looks to Brit for inspiration—and the "Work Bitch" singer let it be known this week that she appreciated the country singer's kind words.
Miranda was quoted in Women's Health as saying, "Like if I put on Britney [while running], I can picture Britney's body and I'm like, 'Oh! Faster!'"
When Britney read that during her perusal of the latest fitness tips, she Instagrammed the page in the magazine and replied, "#regram So flattered by this @mirandalambert! My sister @jamielynnspears just showed me. You look amazing!! @womenshealthmag."

Jaguar Reveals The Most Powerful Car It's Ever Built! Check It Out.. [PHOTOS/VIDEO]

The first undertaking of Jaguar Land Rover’s new Special Vehicles Operations personalization department is the F-Type Project 7, the production version of last year’s Project 7 concept car. Yes, Jaguar has confirmed that it will build 250 examples of the stunning speedster, and will present the car for the first time at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The F-Type Project 7’s arrival marks the 60th anniversary of Jaguar’s D-Type race car, which inspired its design. The Project 7 name, meanwhile, is derived from Jaguar’s seven Le Mans wins between 1951-1990, of which many were achieved with the D-Type.

Power comes from Jaguar’s familiar supercharged 5.0-liter V-8, but with output capped at 575 horsepower. That’s 25 horsepower more than what the F-Type R Coupe is producing and hints at what’s to come for the British automaker’s future R-S models.

The engine is paired with the F-Type’s usual eight-speed automatic and will rocket the car to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds and see it keep accelerating until a top speed of 186 mph.

Other performance upgrades include an electronic active differential and torque vectoring at the rear, carbon ceramic brake discs at all four corners, uprated suspension and carbon fiber aerodynamic aids. The curb weight of the F-Type Project 7 is said to be 3,495 pounds.

Key design elements include the D-Type-inspired fairing behind the driver, a new front bumper, and downforce-increasing aerodynamic modifications—including a carbon fiber front air splitter, side skirts, rear diffuser and adjustable rear spoiler. While the original concept car was a single seater, the production version has been transformed into a two-seater, with rollover hoops for both driver and passenger now integrated into the design.

A shortened windscreen is also featured, but Jaguar tells us that a full height version will be fitted to cars delivered to the U.S. because of local regulations. All F-Type Project 7s will also come with a removable roof, which clips onto the convertible header rail and can be conveniently folded and stowed in the trunk when not in use.

Deliveries are scheduled to commence in mid-2015. Customers will have the choice of Ultra Blue, Caldera Red, British Racing Green (all with white graphics options), Ultimate Black and Glacier White (both with grey graphics options) exteriors.
