They beat them both, put them naked and forced them to kiss in public. Call it Jungle justice. Do you think such treatment is right? We have heard of cases of Men of God thoroughly beaten for such incidences in Nigeria, but this is too much.

Mercy Johnson Assaults a Fan On Set

Actress recently displayed that when it comes to anger management, she is just as vulnerable as super model, Naomi Campbell.

While filming in Asaba, the Delta State capital a couple of months back, the actress lost her cool, seized a fan’s blackberry phone and guess what? Smashed it!

Reason, the fan, a make-up artiste on the set was filming her while in action acting a romantic scene.

Insiders who witnessed the shameful drama on the set of a movie by Amaco Brothers entitled In The Mind, says that all was well until a make-up artiste on set, a female, obviously enthralled by the callipygian decided to record her favourite star on her blackberry phone as she was acting a romantic scene.

Sources say she was in the thick of acting when she noticed what was happening and jumped off set and charged at the make-up artiste. Slapped her across the face, grabbed her black berry phone and smashed it shouting: “This is how it all begins, this is how it all begins. Before you know it they will start writing lies about me in the press!”

So angry was Mrs. Okogie that it took the entire cast to calm her down and she only agreed to continue shooting on one condition that the said make-up artiste be dismissed from the set.

“I am really shocked,” the said make-up artiste moaned as she sobbed obviously in shock at Mercy’s attack. “I respect and love Mercy so much. She is my role model. I never believed she could get so angry and do such a terrible thing to me. Now I have lost my blackberry phone; I am so sad.”

Few years ago, super model, Naomi Campbell had a similar experience after she threw her Blackberry phone at a maid who eventually sued her for assault.

D’banj signs with Mercury Records UK

African pop giant and former Mo’hits boss Dapo ‘D’banj’ Oyebanjo has signed with Mercury Records, an imprint in the UK under the Mercury Records Group of Universal Music UK.

Mercury Records is a record label operating as a standalone company in the UK and as part of the The Island Def Jam Music Group in the US; both are subsidiaries of Universal Music Group.

Mercury Records lists D’banj on their official website as one of their acts alongside the likes of UK rock singer-songwriter Elton John, Soft Rock singer Taylor Swift Irish rock group U2, former The Beatles musician Paul McCartney and others.

Although his publicist and management are yet to respond to our E-mails concerning the signing, D’banj seems to have confirmed the news himself as he has updated the bio section profile on his Twitter page.

D’banj has also launched his personal website www.dbanjofficial.com where the Mecury Records logo boldly appears in the bottom right corner.

The new bio reads ‘DB/Good Music/ Mercury/IDJ’ (IDJ meaning Island Def Jam). When asked by a fan on Twitter what ‘IDJ’ means, he responded ‘island Def Jam bro’.

D’banj is however not listed on the G.O.O.D Music/Def Jam official roaster on the label’s website.

D’banj who recently parted ways with his former Mo’Hits label partner Don Jazzy has relocated to the US where he will continue to push his brand and music in the foreign music market.

The entertainer is set to officially release his smash single ‘Oliver’ (which recently made Scott Mills’ Radio 1 ‘Record Of The Week’) in the UK on May 14.

D’banj as announced earlier will also perform at the 2012 Barclaycard Wireless Festival which holds at the Hyde Park, London, on Saturday, July, 7 2012 and at the BBC Hackney Weekend 2012 in London come June 23 and 24.
