HORROR !!!! Girl loses eyes after acid attack by suitor

When a man, Alabi Olokode, made advances to Lateefah Adesope, a National Diploma holder, the lady simply turned him down on the grounds that her heart was not with him.
Like a desperate man that he is, Olokode persisted. But Lateefah maintained her stand. This, however, did not go down well with the desperate suitor.
As usual, Lateefah set out for mosque around 5.30am on December 30, 2011, for her prayers. She said, “I was on my way to say my morning prayers at Tekunudeen Mosque, Aboru on Friday, December 30, 2011, when Olokode, who was hiding near the mosque, suddenly called my name. As I turned back, he poured a liquid substance on my face.
“The liquid went straight into my eyes and started burning my face. At that time, I didn’t know it was acid but I just realised that I couldn’t open my eyes because of the burning sensation I was having.
“When I started screaming, people around me confirmed it was acid because the substance consumed part of my veil.”
3m360 learnt that Lateefah was immediately rushed to the General Hospital, Oke-odo area of Lagos, where she was given first aid before she was transferred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.
It was learnt that after spending a few weeks at the LASUTH, Lateefah was told by the attending doctor that she would not be able to see again.
Lateefah’s mother, Haulatu, who spoke to our correspondent amid tears, said she had to take her daughter to another hospital for a second opinion.
She said, “Lateefah was given treatment at the LASUTH but we were not satisfied with their diagnosis because we felt the doctors there did not do enough.
“The doctors at the LASUTH were able to take care of her to some extent and gave her some drugs to ease the pain but they later told us that she would not be able to see again.
“I took my daughter to Antilla Catholic Hospital Eye Centre, Agege, and the doctors told us that if she had been brought earlier, Lateefah would not have lost her sight.”
A nurse, who claimed to be part of the team that attended to Lateefah when she was brought to the eye centre, corroborated what the victim’s mother said.
The nurse, who declined to give her name, said, “When Lateefah was brought in, her right eye was completely gone while the other one was glued together.
“We had hoped that when we opened the left eye, it would still be functional but when we opened it, it was discovered that her cornea had been badly damaged and the acid had destroyed other vital parts of her eyes.
“If she had been brought in earlier, the possibility of her regaining her sight would have been high but the previous hospital where the family claimed she was taken to, did not do enough.”
However, the LASUTH management denied complicating Lateefah’s case and insisted that she was properly attended to.
The Public Relations Officer, LASUTH, Mr. Dele Johnson, said the hospital remained one of the best in the country.
He, however, took our correspondent to the Ophthalmology Department, where the supervising doctor explained that attempts were made to salvage Lateefah’s eyes.
The doctor, who craved anonymity, said, “Lateefah was first taken to the Burn Unit where irrigation was done to clean her eyes and face of the acid. When Lateefah was brought in, the acid had damaged her eyes but we tried for weeks to salvage them.
“We also did prodding by applying an ointment in her eyes to prevent them from closing and she could see partially within that period. Even during the strike, she was attended to day and night and there were improvements.
“However, her eyelids later glued together despite all that and her globe was ruptured. So, we did our best and I’m willing to write a full report to clear any doubt that it was due to negligence of this hospital.”
Lateefah, who sobbed uncontrollably, told our correspondent that life had been unbearable ever since her ordeal.
She said, “I didn’t offend Olokode in anyway, he had been making advances at me and I refused to date him. So, he decided to destroy my life.
“I cannot see again, I have no fiancé, no child and all my dreams and aspirations seem like a fairytale.
“I was still trying to gather money to go back to school so I’ll be able to take care of my family but now I’ve become a liability to my family.”
Her mother, who spoke amid tears, said the family had spent all their savings on medical bills.
She said, “Olokode was a customer at my canteen and had been telling me since last year that he wanted to marry my daughter but I thought he was joking.
“When he persisted, I told my daughter and she said she was not interested in him. I didn’t know he would go to such length to register his grievance.
“I am a widow, I have six children and no husband, we’ve spent all our savings on hospital bills and still she may never see again.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Joseph Jaiyeoba, said Olokode had been arrested.
He said, “Policemen attached to the Oke-odo Division were able to arrest Olokode on Sunday following a tip-off.
“The suspect denied the allegations and said he was her boyfriend. He has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, and investigation is ongoing.

JAY-Z AND LIL WAYNE BEEF(Jay-Z Beef with Lil Wayne heats up again on New Track for Classic 1985 Hit Movie)

Enough is enough, Lil Wayne. Over the course of the last year or so, you and Jay-Z have thrown several well-calculated shots at one another. First, Jay landed a jab on "H.A.M." after Birdman insinuated that you were richer than Hov. On that track, he rapped, "I'm like, 'Really, half a billi?' N----, really, you got Baby money/Keep it real with n-----, n----- ain't got my lady money." Then, you fired back on "It's Good" off Tha Carter IV when you rapped, "Talkin' 'bout Baby money? I got your baby money/Kidnap you b----, get that 'How much you love your lady?' money." You both traded words about your beef through the press and seemingly shrugged off whatever perceived beef existed between the two of you. And, most recently, you went at Jay again the night before the 2012 Grammy Awards when you got on stage at a YMCMB party and rapped, "I met a bad red bone, I took the b---- home/I asked her what she want to watch, she said, 'Surely not the Throne." Which is why we need to tell you something, Weezy: Enough. It's not that we don't enjoy a good rap beef. In fact, whatever rift existed between you and Jay was interesting to us once upon a time. But we think it's time for you to stop throwing shots at Jay. Why? Well, we've got five good reasons why you should dead whatever negative feelings you've got for Jay-Z and move on. Please let your pre-Grammy shots be the last one you throw. Because, truthfully, we've had enough. And so have you.

Looks like your boy Hov is bout to drop another Bomb on Lil Wayne on a new Unreleased track for the soundtrack for what it seems like a remake of the classic 1985 movie the Goonies. Although it’s unconfirmed the lyrics came to us in a email this morning. Our source didn’t say yes either way but let’s just hope the track is better…“Look here Goonie, You Know it’s true, even my Baby… Blue got more Peso’s than your whole generation Do.. Or Ever will..So chill with that…Wallet looking like Nick- Cannon before Maria”
Jay-Z

Weezy didnt stop there. After shedding light on the new addition to the team, he fired off another quick shot at Jay and Kanye's Throne.“I met a red-bone, I took the girl home/I asked her what she wanna watch, she said, ‘surely not The Throne,' rapped Weezy in front of the large crowd.

Cops and Students Fight in Manhattan High School

“A crazy fight involving students and police at a lower Manhattan high school this week was captured on video—it occurred at the troubled Murry Bergtraum High School, the same high school where students rioted in winter 2010 over a bathroom ban. Among other things, you can see police forcibly restraining students and students cursing at cops in the video below—and just before the two minute mark, you can see one officer (above right) take off and throw a female student’s hat, and the student punching the officer in return

Lebron James carrying a Purse? (has he gone gay???)

For some reason this picture has been popping up on a lot of websites. People are saying it’s Lebron carrying a purse but we all know that’s not the truth, he’s too cool for that. What could he be carrying in such a small bag though?

D'Banj, Don Jazzy split

Don Jazzy has moved out of the mansion that the pair shared in Lekki

Mo’Hits pair D’Banj and Don Jazzy are on the brink of splitting up due to creative and personal differences. A source close to both parties has revealed that the relationship between the two is now so fractured that Don Jazzy has since moved out of the mansion they once shared in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.Don Jazzy, according to the source, has become so frustrated with D’banj’s lifestyle, tantrums and unmanageable ego that he refuses to work with him. D’Banj, for his part, feels Don Jazzy is spending more time honing the careers of the Mo Hits fledglings such as D’Prince and Dr. Sid. He has also accused Don Jazzy of delaying his album release by giving “excuse after excuse.”“D’Banj has an album due this year,” the source said. “He wants Don Jazzy to spend all his time working on his own album. Can you believe that Don Jazzy spent only two days working on Wande’s new singles?”The source added that D’banj has also made several disparaging remarks about some of the Mo’Hits crew who he calls “backup singers.” He has also made several less than complimentary comments about Don Jazzy who he accused of going around in “pyjamas and t-shirts.”

Bad blood, GOOD Music

Although tensions have simmered between the once inseperable maestros for about two years, things went quickly downhill last year following the deal signed with G.O.O.D music, Kanye West’s record label. An investigation revealed that the terms of the agreement are far more in favour of the producer, Don Jazzy, a realization which has irked the artist. The source confirmed the disparity in the deal’s structure and revealed that D’Banj’s involvement is peripheral which has led to major problems between the two. The deal also involves a financial commitment of up to $3M, which Mo’Hits has not yet fully made up.“When we all celebrated the deal last year, little did we know that it was really Don Jazzy that was being signed up,” the source said. “While Don Jazzy has already produced a track for G.O.O.D Music, D’Banj is just waiting around idly.”Cracks in the duo’s relationship became apparent last year when both of them arrived and sat separately to several awards ceremonies. In the past, the two had always shown a very unified stance in public.

Politically poles apart

D’Banj, real name Dapo Oyebanjo, has come under fire from fans in recent months following his perceived nonchalance to the fuel subsidy and Occupy Nigeria protests. In a recent interview, the artist dismissed the criticism, saying that he was busy shooting a new video at the time the protests broke out.Don Jazzy, on the other hand, quickly identified with the masses by stating his displeasure with the Goodluck Jonathan administration on his Twitter page. The news of the impending separation will come as a major shock to millions of devoted fans who have come to identify the one with the other. Any hopes of reaching reconciliation have been dashed according to the source who said that the pair can no longer work together.“Things are so bad now that there are many shows that D’Banj does where he does not remit any money to Mo’Hits,” the source said. “He accuses Don Jazzy of being too laid back and not attending meetings and negotiations but still feels entitled to collect fifty percent.”The source added that Sunday Are, who used to represent the duo, now only works exclusively for Don Jazzy after D’Banj turned his back on him.“The only people he is really close with now are Ikechukwu and Bankuli,” the source said.It remains to be seen what the long term implications are for the Mo’Hits record label but D’Banj has wasted no time in launching his own record label which he plans to release his album on.

D’Banj, Don Jazzy, Sunday Are and Bankuli were all unavailable for comment at press time.

SCANDAL ICE PRINCE THE JUJU MAGICIAN : impregnates 20 Year-Old Drop Out and Delivers Baby Boy for Ice Prince

curled from the NET by osaze alonge

Oh, baby! There’s a new daddy on the block: Popular rapper Panshak Zamani, better known as Ice Prince, is now a father.

NET can authoritatively confirm that the ‘Choc Boy’ is now daddy to a baby boy with 20-year-old Bimbo Babatunde.

The young lady, a former student of the Houdegbe North American University in Benin Republic, reportedly gave birth on Thursday, March 1, 2012. The baby’s name, according to Bimbo is ‘Toluwalase’ (meaning God’s word is final).

We’re told Bimbo, who lives in Egbeda, Lagos, was an off campus resident while studying at HNA University, before dropping out due to academic challenges. Several of her friends who spoke with NET say she was extremely social, and adventurous. ‘She was quite popular and fun loving. She was one of those young ‘smallies’ that were friends with those rich Hausa kids, and they did a lot of drinking, partying and smoking’, said a friend who asked to remain anonymous.

NET investigations show that Bimbo first enrolled into the school to study International Relations, but after scoring low grades, she had to transfer to the Languages Department. However, she didn’t graduate from that department, leaving the school in 2011.

‘She left the University in 2011, amid scandal’, one source says. ‘She had weed smoking issues and of course, stealing. She stole my friend’s 20k sometime ago’, an anonymous source who knows Bimbo quite well alleges.

With this history of controversy, it’s no surprise her baby daddy Ice Prince is not exactly pleased with the present situation. Bimbo’s friends say the rapper is ‘very unhappy with her’ and has refused to be financially or emotionally committed, even after she put to bed last week. ‘Her mother took her to Abeokuta to give birth because the family is upset with her. Her mom said she doesn’t want to see her and the baby. And even though Ice Prince went to see her when she gave birth, he was shouting at her. She wept, but he was not even moved…’

Another friend says: ‘We all had to contribute money for her to prepare for delivery and take care of the child. He didn’t give her any money. Not even a dime. I think he’s mean’.

We tried for days to speak with Ice Prince, but he was not forthcoming. Those close to him say it’s a difficult situation for the rapper. Why? Prior to dating Ice Prince, Bimbo allegedly had an affair with Ice Prince’s label mate and fellow Jos Town artiste Jesse Jagz. ‘It’s so funny, she wasn’t even his real girlfriend. She cheated on Jesse with him, and dude wasn’t smart enough to use protection’, one of Bimbo’s close friends told us.

As we found out, it’s not likely that Ice Prince is ‘feeling the boy’. The rapper didn’t act the part of a proud papa, denying the news when we placed a call to him on Friday, March 2nd, 2012. He spoke to our correspondents shortly before a performance in Yola, Adamawa State

After trying to book an interview with him for days, we placed a call to his phone. However, due to difficulties in communicating, Ice Prince then asked us to try text messaging. When we sent him a text concerning the news, he called back and said;

‘You are asking me questions, you are just a normal reporter and I don’t know why you are asking these questions. I’m not going to answer any questions, I don’t know anything’.

His manager, popularly known as ‘Nanle’, also refused to confirm the news. ‘Please, Ice Prince is preparing for a concert right now, when we get back on Sunday’, he responded.

Meanwhile, a friend of the rapper said ‘Telling him (Ice Prince) that you are aware of his new born baby might be disturbing to him’.

Bimbo, however, doesn’t seem to have any issues with sharing the news about her baby boy, posting his picture as her avatar via microblogging site Twitter. She tweeted ‘I’m sooo gr8ful to God…my son is d cutest thng on earth..momma luvs u to death Toluwalase…’, through her account @Bimbabybabs

‘Nd he’s got his dads lips…sooo cute!’, she excitedly continued.

Dozens of her friends are congratulating her on twitter and elsewhere, sending goodwill messages and praying for the bundle of joy. But we’re told that as she prepares to christen the baby (on Thursday March 8), she’s worried not just about her future as a single mother, but about caring for the baby. ‘She needs help’ her friends say unanimously.

Ice Prince burst onto the music scene off the heels of rappers M.I and Jesse Jagz, who were signed to Chocolate City in 2008. He was subsequently signed to the same label, where the three acts were collectively called the ‘Choc Boyz’.

He didn’t gain much attention until he released the monster hit ‘Oleku’ featuring another label mate BrymO, and with his follow up hit ‘Superstar’, the rapper’s popularity rose. Just last year, he released his debut album ‘Everybody Loves IcePrince’, to lukewarm reviews, and has recently been touring African countries, and the UK.

The rapper lost his mother in May 2011, while his father, (who was a member of the Nigerian Police Force) is said to have died in 1999

Nas Reportedly Launches New Label, Kings And Queens

Nas architects a new record imprint, according to Young Money's Tyga.

Nas has reportedly launched a new record label titled Kings and Queens.
During an interview on MTV's RapFix Live with Sway Calloway, Tyga, who collaborated with Esco and Wale on the cut "Kings and Queens," said that the Queensbridge rapper took inspiration from the cut and decided to start his own imprint bearing the same name.
"[Nas] actually has a label called Kings and Queens that he just started, so he was like, it's just cliché that I sent him a song called '[King] and Queens' and he just started a label called Kings and Queens, which is crazy," he said.
Nas previously launched Ill Will Records in 1999 upon releasing his fourth album Nastradamus. In 2005, he launched The Jones Experience under Def Jam

2Pac Broadway Musical Coming to New York City Late This Year

A 2Pac musical play is coming to Broadway in New York City possibly as soon as the end of this year, the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation confirmed with mmm360.blogspot.com.
"It's based off the music of Tupac," Vernal Cambridge, Executive Director of the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation, told 3m360. "You'll be looking at Tupac's life through his music. It's called, 'Holler If Ya Hear Me.' We're looking at toward the end of the year [for the musical to go live on Broadway]."
Of course, the title of the musical is named after 2Pac's 1993 single by the same name. The musical will take fans through a span of 2Pac's music throughout his career, before his tragic murder in 1996. The song selection will be handled by scriptwriter Todd Krickler, whose task should be a tough one, considering how vast 2Pac's catalog was.
Kenny Leon, an acclaimed Broadway director, will helm the musical. Leon also directedA Raisin in the Sun on Broadway. Sean 'Diddy' Combs starred in that play.
According to Playbill.com, Leon will start an open-call casting for the role of Tupac and others on March 4.The ad on Playbill reads that Leon is seeking: African American male and female rappers ages 18 - 35. Additionally seeking one Caucasian actor ages 20 - 25 with a strong facility for rap and terrific guitar skills. Strong legit singing voices a plus for all, but not required.
Last year marked the 15th-year death anniversary of the fallen MC, who many consider the greatest of all time. XXL commemorated his life with a special 'Pac tribute issue last September.

Big Sean and Trey Songz Join Forces For New York City Show

Trey Songz and Big Sean, along with a special surprise guest, delivered a memorable performance at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City last night (March 1). The show wrapped up Trey and Sean's nationwide, 18-city collaborative tour, the Anticipation 2our.
Besides the flock of predominately female fans in attendance, journalists/bloggers, record label executives and even fellow artists, like Ryan Leslie and Fabolous, were also in the house to show love to Trey and Big Sean. Once word spread that Loso was in the building and due to his relationship and collection of catchy collabos with Trigga, a guest appearance seemed inevitable.
And just like clockwork, while Trey was performing smash single "What I Be On," sans the witty lyricist, the crooner requested the music be cut, calling on Fabo to join him on stage for a surprise set. Rather than finish performing the more recent "What I Be On," the two cut to their former chart-topper, "Say Ahh." While Fab spit his bars, the crowd nearly dubbed the rapper's verse, adlibs and all, to the point his voice was over-powered by the packed venue.
After performing their "Oh My" remix, Trey and Fabolous called opener Big Sean back to the stage to spit his own rendition of the DJ Drama track. The trio then interacted with the crowd, having them competitively recite their trademark "Yuuup", "Niiiiice", "I Do It" and "Boi" adlibs.
Songz ran through his usual collection of hits, including "Neighbors Know My Name," "Invented *** and "Love Faces," among others, all of which had both sexes in the crowd singing along synonymously. In the midst of *** Aint Better Than Love," Songz made a heart shaped hand gesture at the concertgoers, which sent the ladies in the room into a frenzy.Trey Songz continued to lived up to his panty-droppa nickname, as female undergarments were spontaneously thrown to the stage throughout the night.
Big Sean lived up to his album's Finally Famous title by putting on a show for the sold out crowd that G.O.O.D Music founder, Kanye West, would be proud of.The 2010 XXL Freshman began his thirty-minute set with breakthrough single, "My Last," and followed with tracks like "I Do It," "Memories," "High" and "Don't Tell Me You Love Me."The Detroit native more than held his own, impressively performing half of the tracks off his Finally Famous debut album without any of the featured artists.
After performing "Marvin Gaye and Chardonnay," Big Sean's set appeared to be finished as he thanked the crowd for coming out and walked off the stage. But as the lights went on and the audience began hitting the exit for the intermission, the instrumental for "A$$" dropped, and the crowd erupted, frantically heading back to their seats for his grand finale.
"A$$" proved to be a fan-favorite that night, as Trey also ordered Big Sean to perform "A$$" for a second time during his set before he closed out the show with "One Love" and "Top Of The World."-

Young Buck Shot At 11 Times in Nashville, TN

Earlier this morning (March 4), former G-Unit rapper Young Buck was shot at 11 times while driving an SUV in Nashville, Tennessee.
NBC 4 reports that at approximately 3:30 AM, a white Chevrolet Tahoe drove past Buck's SUV and opened fire hitting the vehicle 11 times.
Though the rapper, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, was not hit in the gunfire, contrary to some reports, a female passenger however was hit once in the shoulder. Metro Police say the woman was treated and released at Vanderbilt Hospital while another passenger in the vehicle was not injured.
The shooting came after Buck was holding a cook out and video shoot in his Nashville residence, taking to Twitter to publicise the event. Though he's been trying to pick his career back up since his falling out with former label, G-Unit the rapper has been harried with **** financial hardship over the years--facing Chapter 7 in October 2011 resulting in the liquidation of his assets. A trustee administering his estate revealed in December that she has plans to sell his "Young Buck" moniker as part of the liquidation.
As of press time, there's been no word on the shooting from Young Buck's camp. Stay tuned to XXLMag.com as new information becomes available.

How A Top NNPC Staff Was Brutally Murdered And Kept In Her Freezer

Chief Sa'adu Abdullahi, an Auchi-based legal practitioner, on Friday told an Abuja High Court how he and two of his in-laws discovered the corpse of his wife, Afshatu, in her deep freezer.

Mrs. Abdullahi, a mother of three and a top NNPC staff, was murdered on November 5, 2011 in her house located off Ladoke Akintola Boulevard, in Garki II.
The office of the Inspector-General of Police on February 16, arraigned Chiwendu Hart-Amanya, 30, Kenneth Chigozie, 21, and Ejike Igbe, 18, before Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf on a six-count charge including felony and murder of Mrs. Afshatu Abdullahi.
The prosecution counsel, Sam Lough told the court that Hart-Amanya was the driver of the deceased, while Chigozie was the steward.
Igbe was arrested for being in possession of the deceased's cars (not one).
The prosecution said the offence contravened Sections 315, 316, 317 and 318 of the Penal Code.
It would be recalled that all the three accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.
At the resumed hearing on Friday, Abdullahi, husband of late Afshatu, told the court how the corpse of his wife was discovered in the kitchen freezer with deep cuts on her neck and other parts of her body.
Abdullahi told the court that during the last Eid-el Kabir holiday on November 6, 2011, Afshatu had called to say that she would be in Auchi for the celebration with her family.
He said she had called to tell him that she would come to see the family, and that after waiting for three days without hearing from her, he decided to come to Abuja to check her.
"When I got to Abuja, I went straight to the NNPC where she works and was told that no one had seen her.''
Abdullahi told the court that a search party that was organised, found only the security man, Ali Alpha in Afshatu's house, while the first and second, who live in the boy's quarters, were nowhere to be found.
He said that Alpha said he had not seen his madam for a few days and assumed that she had traveled.
"We broke into the house and found the place in disarray, with many expensive furniture missing and her jewelry gone; it was obvious the house had been burgled.
"While searching, my brother-in law, Tahiru Momoh, opened a deep freezer in the kitchen and we discovered my beloved wife's body inside it.
"We called the Police and in the cause of their investigations, neighbours told them (Police) that they saw the driver driving my wife's Infinity Toyota SUV some days earlier.
"The security man also told the Police that the driver (first accused) came back on the same day to take away the second 2011 brand of Toyota SUV.''
Abdullahi said that he was hospitalised for three days after the corpse of his wife was found in the freezer.
"I was shocked and shaken to my bone marrow", he said.
During cross-examination by counsel to the three accused, Mr. Paul Esewomo, Abdullahi debunked any rumours that he and his wife were separated.
Abdullahi also told the court that he loved his wife "100 per cent".
