mmm360 recently took a scoop into the bowels of the hit making chocolate city and found out that, all may presently not be well between Jude Abaga, who is better known as MI, and his Audu Maikori led record label, Chocolate City.
According to the gist making round, the self-acclaimed Africa's number one rapper is set to launch his own record label.
From what mmm360.blogspot.com gathered, the short dark dude from Jos has concluded plans to launch his Loopy Record Label on Saturday, March 3, 2012, which we learnt is located around Gbagada area of Lagos State.
Unconfirmed reports said there is a strain between the once smooth working relationship between MI and Chocolate City Label boss, Audu.
Chocolate City has under its label Ice Prince; Jesse Jagz, who is the younger brother of MI; Brymo and MI. We could not confirm if other acts under Chocolate City would join Loopy Record having joined Chocolate City through MI.

N700M Homosexuality Suit: Asa Absent in Court

Nigerian singer Bukola Elemide, better known as Ásà was missing at a court hearing today, over a N700m lawsuit brought by her against a celebrity magazine.
Asa, in a suit ‘Bukola Elemide & Another VS Dockland Communications Services’, is suing News of the People over an article published in 2010 insinuating that she is a lesbian.
Dockland Communications Services are the publishers of the weekly publication News of the People.
The 29-year-old, who was represented by her legal counsel Abraham & CO. before a Lagos High Court presided over by Justice A.J Coker on Thursday, February 23, 2012, stated that the publication was defamatory, and prayed the court to award damages in the above-mentioned sum.

However, the judge was unable to make any ruling, as neither Asa nor her manager Janet Nwose were in court when the defendant’s counsel requested their presence for questioning. Reportedly, they are currently in France, which is Asa’s home base.
‘My lord, my client is indisposed; I plead for you to adjourn the case to a later date’, the claimants’, lawyer Mena Ajakpovi said.
The defendants’ counsel Yinka Muyiwa wasn’t happy with the plea, citing an earlier claim from the duo stating that they were actually performing at a gig in France. The judge however ruled for the case to be adjourned until April.
The saga began in 2010, when News of the People published an article stating that Asa was a lesbian, but, through their counsel, the publication says they have done no wrong, as they culled the story from an online publication.
However, despite repeated requests from us, they have failed to name the originators of the story.
The first hearing took place on November 22, 2010 at the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja Judicial Division.
‘The issue pertaining to she being a lesbian is already in the eye of the public’, Yinka Muyiwa told 3m360. ‘And as a report coming from a publication on the internet, I do not see how they can establish a case of libel’.
Asa’s lawyer was not available to answer questions at the time of writing this report, but the law firm assured us we would get statements from them very soon.
Back in January 2010, Asa, in an interview with radio host Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi on Beat FM’s ‘Drive Time Show’, categorically stated she wasn’t gay; even though at that time she did not have a boyfriend. ‘I’m not gay we have to set it straight’, Asa said.
The court case has been adjourned to Thursday, April 26, 2012.

Commemorating her 24th birthday with a rash of widespread controversy, Rihanna ** finally unveiled her "Birthday Cake" remix, featuring Chris Brown **, online on Monday night (Feb. 20), just as Brown simultaneously released his "Turn Up The Music" remix featuring his former flame. Although some ( including Billboard.com) have questioned Rih and Breezy's decision to musically reunite three years after getting into a violent altercation before the 2009 Grammy Awards, production maestro The-Dream **, who helmed Rihanna's "Birthday Cake" remix, doesn't believe that the collaborations should be judged against the former couple's unseemly past.
"For me, it's just music -- two talented people doing a record together, doing two records together, and that's what it was," The-Dream (real name: Terius Nash) tells mmm360.com. "It wasn't about an incident that happened. The true thing really is to forgive, and… you want to believe in people."

The-Dream -- who is currently readying his own album, "The Love IV: Diary of a Mad Man" -- says that the "Cake" remix was finished barely a week ago, after a 78-second version of the song appeared on Rihanna's sixth studio album, "Talk That Talk," in November.
"It was Rih's idea," says the producer. "Not only do we work together, but [Rihanna] is a friend of mine. And it's like, 'You wanna do something? Then cool, let's do it.' I don't know how she got the logistics and how it happened -- maybe she'll talk about it one day. I showed up at the studio, and it was like, 'All right, cool, let's finish this record,' which we probably should have finished the first time we did it."

Before the release of "Birthday Cake (Remix)" and "Turn Up The Music (Remix)," Rihanna proclaimed on Twitter, "I'm so solid as a rock, they just can't stop me now!" "I think [the topic] that should be more on the tongues is: how do we proclaim to be a nation of forgiving, and we go by all of these rules and everything, but we can't actually do it?" he says. "It actually makes you look weaker than your adversary -- if you don't have the power to forgive, but you lie and say that you did.

Exclusive: Diggy Talks 'Unexpected Arrival' Album, Pharrell Williams, & more

In three years, Diggy Simmons ** has gone from notebooks to mixtapes to now working on his debut album, "Unexpected Arrival" (March 20).
"It was just more so about me getting out my feelings through writing," says the 16 yr. old rapper of his start. "That's when I started loving it so much. I was like, 'Man this is what I want to do.' That's when I took it to the next level and I started actually recording myself."
It's cheeky, but an apt title definitely. Before he started spitting, Diggy could be seen on MTV's "Run's House," as the middle child of hip-hop legend, Run D.M.C.'s Joseph "Rev Run" Simmons. While it's easy to doubt or cry out "nepotism" in this scenario, the fact is Diggy's arrival is a result of his own hard work and growth.
"It's me taking everything that I've done to the next level," Diggy says of "Unexpected Arrival." "Lyrically, everything with the production, all the content, all my experiences -- it's just way better than everything I've ever done."
Both his mixtapes and freestyles, including his early freestyle to Nas **' "Made You Look" -- have been training and proving ground. Diggy garnered plenty of attention which lead to collaborations with the likes of Bruno Mars **, Lupe Fiasco **, and Pharrell Williams **.
His time with specifically Pharrell Williams ** proved quite fruitful: "Pharrell really inspires me from more of like a general standpoint of never letting people dictate who you want to be. That's a big part of who I am, just being me and creatively being free and just doing my own thing, no matter what's going on with the times."
Diggy certainly brought this mentality to "Unexpected Arrival," but that doesn't mean he went at it alone. Producer D'Mile ( Rihanna **, Mary J. Blige **) laced majority of the record, allowing for a cohesive project.
"The way I write is I hear the beat and then it inspires the content and the subject matter," Diggy tells The Juice. "So he brought great subject matter out of me, great rhymes, he brought the best out of me."
"Unexpected Arrival" seems to not only be a statement of purpose but also a personal document. One of the areas where Diggy believes he's improved the most is his delivery. He finds the emotion necessary to make his tracks really hit.
"I had great things to say but I wouldn't just say them," he says of his older tracks. "I'd just rap whatever was written down even though a lot of feeling was behind it. Now I'm just way more mindful when I go into the booth when I record."
Diggy continues to work hard and steady till the release date for Unexpected Arrival" inches closer. "I'm used to having my work ethic be very constant, and just be at a very quick pace," Diggy tells The Juice. "Whatever I do, it's usually just going hard -- and that's what it's all about. So the only thing different about this is I have an album coming out now.

NBC threatens TVC over live coverage of Occupy Nigeria protests

The station says it won't stop live coverage of the rallies
The Nigerian Broadcast Commission has threatened to sanction a Lagos-based television station, TV Continental, for broadcasting the ongoing Occupy Nigeria protests live, in what appears an attempt to gag media organizations and curtail critical coverage of the ongoing protests against government’s cut on fuel subsidy.
In a letter to the station, the NBC warned it to stop live broadcasts of the nationwide protests or face sanctions. NBC is asking that TVC censor its broadcast to avoid the deep criticism of President Goodluck Jonathan by labour leaders and civil society activists.
Since Monday when organized labour began a crippling strike and massive protests demanding government to reverse fuel prices which doubled overnight January 1, TVC has consistently given live coverage to protest rallies and speeches delivered during the protests.
“They want us to censor what we air live,” an official of the TV told Premium Times. "They said we should be careful and professional in our coverage and that if we air caustic speeches against the President and the administration, we would face appropriate sanction."
The management of the organization however denied any wrongdoing, say they would continue with the live broadcasts of the protests.
Spokesperson of the NBC, Maimuna Jimada, could not be reached to comment for this story. 
Since the commencement of rallies against the cut on fuel subsidy policy began on January 2, government-owned broadcast stations have tried to play down the protests.
Until Thursday morning when some protesters besieged the Nigerian Television Authority’s head office on the Island in Lagos, forcing the management to air clips from protests – in their presence – the station has largely ignored the huge demonstrations across the country and had concentrated on a massive propaganda campaign for government.
The protests, which have seen Nigerians question government’s ineptitude and lack of accountability before large crowds and streaming cameras, have polarized the Nigerian media along pro-government and pro-people lines.
Some protesters have branded the African Independent Television, AiT, an anti-people station, which has sided more with government in the current impasse. In anger, a group of protesters massed at the gate of the Alagbado headoffice of  the station, throwing pebbles at its infrastructures to protest perceived pro-government reporting.
The protesters claim AIT has been pro-government and has not devoted equal amount of time to airing all sides to the crisis. 
The commission say it will not hesitate to apply “necessary sanctions” if TVC persists with the live broadcasts.
Nigeria has a relatively free  media freedom, enhanced by the extensive use of social media platforms, but the government still reserves a great control over the media through subtle cajoles and patronages.

Tuface Idibia not dead

3m360 can authoritatively confirm that the story being circulated about the death of Musician TuFace Idibia is untrue.
A website, Global Associated News, had early this morning published a story with the headline "Musician - Tuface Idibia dies following Jet-Ski crash in Turks and Caicos Islands."
The story soon went viral on social networks leaving several of the musician's fans heartbroken.
But we can confirm that the report is a complete fabrication.
The website said this as much of itself.
It stated clearly on its footer, “This story is 100% Fake. This is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purporses.
"This story was dynamically generated using a generic template and is not factual.
"Any reference to specific individuals has been 100% fabricated by website visitors who have created fake stories by entering a name into a blank non-specific template for the purpose of entertainment."
Many readers didn't see this and only went on redistributing the story link after reading it.

Stars grace funeral of Whitney Houston

The biggest names in entertainment clapped hands, swayed to gospel hymns and sang along with the choir at Whitney Houston's funeral in the church where the future pop star once wowed the congregation as a young girl.
"We are here today, hearts broken but yet with God's strength we celebrate the life of Whitney Houston,'' Reverend Joe A. Carter told the packed New Hope Baptist Church on Saturday after the choir behind him sang "The Lord is My Shepherd".
"Whitney, you are the only woman that could bring all of us together. Whitney, today is your day," he said. A gospel choir, members dressed in white and gold, opened the funeral with song, and churchgoers were swaying and clapping along. Some stood in the aisles in the full church.
Mourners fell quiet as three police officers escorted Houston's casket, draped with white roses and purple lilies. White-robed choir members began to fill the pews on the podium. As the band played softly, the choir sang in a hushed voice, "Whitney, Whitney, Whitney.''
Special 'grace'
Houston's family had prepared a service where singer Dionne Warwick, Houston's cousin, music mogul Clive Davis, who shepherded Houston's career for decades, actor Kevin Costner, her co-star in the film The Bodyguard', and sister-in-law Patricia Houston, among others, spoke at the service.
Filmmaker Tyler Perry praised Houston's "grace that kept on carrying her all the way through, the same grace led her all the way to the top of the charts. She sang for presidents''.
"You wait for a voice like that for a lifetime," Davis said.
Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, R Kelly and gospel stars CeCe and Bebe Winans sang at the service.
Tributes to Houston were both celebratory of her life and mournful. Singer Ray J., who spent time with Houston during her last days, broke down crying. His sister, singer Brandy, put her arm around him. Cissy Houston and Houston's daughter, 18-year-old Bobbi Kristina, clutched each other in the front of the church.
Toward the end of the service, Bobbi Kristina and Ray J. embraced at length and spoke. Others gathered near the front of the church and hugged each other.
The most powerful moment was reserved for the end. As Houston's silver casket was carried out, her hit "I Will Always Love You'" played. Bobbi Kristina began crying, and the sobs of Houston's mother rang throughout the church.
Close family friend Aretha Franklin, whom Houston lovingly called "Aunt Ree'', had been expected to sing at the service, but she was too ill to attend. Franklin said in an email to the Associated Press that she had been up most of the night with leg spasms and sent best wishes to the family.
Singers Chaka Khan, Mariah Carey, Roberta Flack, Jordin Sparks and Jennifer Hudson were among those filling pews. Jesse Jackson, the civil rights leader, and actor Lela Rochon were also gathering as the choir began to sing gospel and the congregation clapped.
'Baby girl'
Pictures of Houston as a baby, with her mother, gospel singer Cissy Houston and daughter, Bobbi Kristina filled the program.
"I never told you that when you were born, the Holy Spirit told me that you would not be with me long,'' Cissy Houston wrote her daughter in a letter published in the program. "And I thank God for the beautiful flower he allowed me to raise and cherish for 48 years.''
"Rest, my baby girl in peace,'' the letter ends, signed "mommie''.
Houston's mother was helped by two people on either side of her as she walked in and sat with her granddaughter and other family. Houston's ex-husband, Bobby Brown, briefly appeared at her funeral, walking to the casket, touching it and walking out.
The service marks one week after the 48-year-old Houston, one of music's all-time biggest stars, was found dead in a Beverly Hills hotel in California. A cause of death has yet to be determined.
Star's descent
Houston's death marked the final chapter for the superstar whose fall from grace was years in the making.
Houston had her first No 1 hit by the time she was 22, followed by a flurry of No 1 songs and multi-platinum records.
Her last album, "I Look To You'', debuted on the top of the charts when it was released in 2009 with strong sales, but did not have the staying power of her previous records. A tour the next year was doomed by cancellations because of illness and sub-par performances.
To the world, Houston was the pop queen with the perfect voice, the dazzling diva with regal beauty, a troubled superstar suffering from addiction and, finally, another victim of the dark side of fame.
To her family and friends, she was just "Nipp'', a nickname given to Houston when she was a child. To them, she was a sister, a friend, a daughter, and a mother.
"She always had the edge,'' Jackson said outside the church Saturday. "You can tell when some kids have what we call a special anointing. Aretha had that when she was 14; Whitney cultivated that and took it to a very high level.''
Over her career, she sold more than 50 million records in the United States alone. Her voice, an ideal blend of power, grace and beauty, made classics out of songs like "Saving All My Love For You'', "I Will Always Love You'',
"The Greatest Love of All'' and "I'm Every Woman''.
Her six Grammys were only a fraction of her many awards. But amid the fame, a turbulent marriage to Brown and her addiction to drugs tarnished her image. She became a woman falling apart in front of the world
'Celebrate' life
A few fans gathered Saturday morning hours before the service as close as they could get to the church, some from as far away as Washington DC and Miami. Bobby Brooks said he came from Washington "just to be among the rest of the fans''.
"Just to celebrate her life, not just her death,'' said Brooks, "just to sing and dance with the people that love her.''
Others were more entrepreneurial, setting up card tables to sell silk-screened T-shirts with Houston's image and her CDs. But only the invited would get close to the church; streets were closed to the public for blocks in every direction.
but their presence was felt around the church, with a huge shrine of heart-shaped balloons and personal messages that covered the street corner around the church entrance
Houston was to be buried next to her father, John Houston, in nearby Westfield, New Jersey.

Ray J has been in the news lately for having dated/hung out with/slept with/whatever Whitney Houston. But don’t forget that he’s also the moron guy who released the sex tape featuring himself and Kim Kardashian, thus launching her career as a successful…something.
Well now Ray J is calling Kim Kardashian a cheater in his new book, according to HollywoodLife (per Life & Style). You’ll recall that Kim was married (for the first time) to Damon Thomas, and Ray J claims that the cheating took place while they were still very much together.
His book, titled “Death of the Cheating Man” (ha), Ray J only refers to her as “KK.” Come on. That could be ANYONE. Like, uh……
And according to him, Kim pursued him like a mutha. “She let me know she wanted to get with me. She left her husband for me as soon as we started having sex…We were like animals — sexually free to to try anything, and we did.”
Ew.
Ray also reveals that Kim would “seduce” him by bringing him hot towels in the morning, along with toothpaste on his toothbrush—topped off with lingerie shows at night.
Double ew.
It never woulda worked, though. Kim became so paranoid that he was cheating on her (which he was) that she even tapped his phone. But he points out that he believes she was cheating on him too, so that makes it okay.
“I had no respect for her. I wanted more for my life…[to] find a woman that I could actually trust.”

I’m not sure what he’s trying to accomplish by broadcasting all their shiz, other than getting a nasty Dirt article written about him. She’s no saint, but if Ray J doesn’t think that this isn’t also a reflection of himself, then YIKES! Was this book really necessary? These are some pretty outrageous claims to be making, my friend.

D'Banj Under Attack Again Over Alleged 'Insensitive' Comments

Popular Nigerian music star, Dapo Oyebanjo, who is well known as D'Banj, has again landed himself into another waters of controversies.
You will recall that the music artiste was lashed out on by some fans just last month, when he was alleged of not showing concerns for fuel subsidy protests going on as at that time, as reported by lori Tosan
Just when some Nigerians were almost letting go of him of that, the kokomaster has plunged himself into another ocean of troubles.
In a recent interview with Saharareporters, D'Banj told the world that he never knew what was happening in Nigeria during the fuel subsidy protests saga. He claimed he was in the United Kingdom at that time.
But when asked if he also never heard of the London version of the protest in the UK, D'Banj said he was also not aware of that. He claimed he was also not aware of it via the internet.
He then went ahead to tell the interviewer that he was not concerned about all that (fuel subsidy matters) but he was only ready to talk about his New York koko concert, which held yesterday.
A part of the interview reads, "I have told you, I don’t want to say anything about that topic. I have a concert tomorrow (February 19), I need to practice and prepare well so I can represent Africa well," D'Banj told the interviewer, sly lori.
In reaction to D'Banj's interview, many Nigerians have condemned him over his alleged unguarded statements on the plights of Nigerians who buy his work.
According to some who spoke to 3m360, they wonder why D'Banj would show such insensitivity towards what affects those that pay for his services.
A fan of his told mmm360.blogspot.com, "this same D'Banj would expect us to buy his album, pay 1million naira per table for his shows. Is he doing music for himself? D'Banj has lost it, for me, I will not waste my money on his music again."
A top Nigeria music artiste, who begged for anonymity told Nigeriafilms.com, "that was a wrong thing to say, D'Banj should have just used that medium to win hearts of fans who were already disappointed in him during the Occupy Nigeria protests.
"He should have understood that this same people made him who he is today. Those [artistes] that participated in the protests were not fools. I pray this does not affect his career in Nigeria. I just hope so."
Social networking sites, especially twitter is getting buzzed on anger by some Nigerians over the Saharareporters' interview with D'Banj, with many condemning D'Banj on his comments.

9ice speaks on the success of his double album Bashorun Gaa and Versus released last december .He said the album has sold 8 million copies so far and the marketer gave him N50M .
He also disclosed his desire to go into politics come 2015.
9ice said he is currently taking an online course in public administration at Capella university and once he completes it, he will get a law degree because he is definitely going to contest in 2015 for house of Representative position .
"You know in naija they believe if you don't go to school, they believe you can't govern, you can't lead, so it has become a barrier this era you have to be educated .Politics has been in me since i was young " 9ice said.
He also disclosed his relationship with his estranged wife ,he said though they are separated “she is still my legal wife and we are good friends".
9ice is preparing for his album concert that will take place March 11 at Eko Hotel.

I Don’t Belong To ILLUMINATI - Don Jazzy

Star music producer and Mo’Hits Records boss, Don Jazzy, has denied ever been a member of the powerful global fraternity, Illuminati. He described as spoof the stories that himself and the Mo’Hits team, are new recruits into the Illuminati cult.
Don Jazzy, in response to the speculations, makes the rebuttal in a no-hold barred interview with the music magazine, HipHop World.
The award winning producer said that was the ‘dumbest story’ he ever read in his entire life. “I know the first thing is to put God first. I am not Illuminati or anything. I did not join any secret cult. You people did not even dash me Ogboni first or Eiye or anything; you just say Illuminati straight. It does not make any sense. I don’t even know who those people are in the first place. I believe in God and I have never done juju of any sort,” Don Jazzy said. While the rumour mill ascribes Don Jazzy and his Mo’Hits crew’s source of success to the cult, in the contrary, Don Jazzy said his sources of success have been God and hard work. He claimed that he also tries as much as possible to be himself as a music producer.
“If I’m doing a beat and it doesn’t come out right, I am not afraid to delete and start again. I take my time to make sure the beat sounds proper before I put it,” he said.
I guess this should now put to an end all the conspiracy theories of a new inspired illuminati Don Jazzy.

Album Review: Seal, 'Soul 2'

Seal ** is probably the last guy who should be singing a line like, "I don't know where to look for love/I just don't know how." After all, the British singer's soulful tones have undoubtedly induced plenty of swooning during the past 20 years. On this sequel to his 2008 "Soul" covers album, the vocalist takes on another 11 classics with highly skilled reverence. He and producers Trevor Horn and David Foster keep things reverent here; the most dramatic change-up is a lush, orchestrated delivery for the first two minutes of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" before the rhythm section kicks in, paying homage right down to the percussive nuances. There are a couple of subtle vocal vamps in the Spinners' "I'll Be Around" and Teddy Pendergrass' "Love T.K.O." But they pass by almost unnoticed while his renditions of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together," the Miracles' "Ooh Baby Baby," Bill Withers' "Lean On Me" and a pair of Rose Royce tracks ("Wishing On a Star," "Love Don't Live Here Anymore") are more passionate than perfunctory. They never supersede the originals, but hardly suffer in comparison.

Lemar Plays Down Death Rumour, Says I'm Alive

UK based Nigerian RnB music star, Lemar Obika, who was reported dead at the early hours of today, has debunked such rumour.
According to the singer in a tweet to wash away his death news, "I am alive... Or, if I'm dead and this is what the other side is like then, well, it is a LOT like earth and GUYS, they've got twitter."
In an earlier news, Lemar was rumoured dead while on a personal vacation in Turks and Caicos Islands. He was said to have accidentally hit a boat while skiing on the island.
Lemar came into limelight in mid-2000. One of his popular songs is 50 50.
Meanwhile, some have been calling for the shutdown of the media that started this rumour, especially because of other fake celebrity news it has carried in the past

Fastest Man In Africa, Nigeria's OLUSOJI FASUBA Joins British Royal Navy

Nigeria's Olusoji Fasuba is the African 100m record holder, an Olympic bronze medallist and an indoor 60m world champion, making him one of the fastest men on the planet.
But Olusoji — nicknamed "Flash" by his shipmates has just completed nine months of training to become a logistics specialist in the Royal Navy.
The sailor, 27, whose mother was born in Jamaica, decided to retire from professional running to provide a more settled life for his wife and baby daughter.
Before joining the Navy last May, Olusoji has claimed bronze in the 4x100m relay at the 2004 Athens Olympics, gold in the 100m and 4x100m relay at the 2007 All-African Games and gold at the 2008 Indoor Championships at 60m.
In 2006, he set an African record in the 100m of 9.85 seconds, just 0.27 of a second slower than the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt. He said: "I've had a very good career in athletics and been there with the big boys, but I was looking to the future and wanted to settle.

No! We are not dating.
What is your status?
I’m very single. I like Rihanna, I’m interested in her.
Will you Americanize your music now that you are working mostly in America?
What do you mean by Americanize?
I mean you use a lot of pidgin and Yoruba in your music will you still do that?
Yes I will. Did you hear ‘Scapegoat’, ‘Fall in love’ or ‘Oliver twist’? I do music depending on the message and who I want it to suite.
So will you maintain the identity?
I think American music is universal so I’ve a lot of work to do.
Ok, now on your interview with the President of Nigeria, there are talks that you collected money from him to sing and interview him.
I didn’t collect money from the President. It wasn’t an interview it was a request, watch the interview I asked the President and I can remember the statements ‘What are your plans for the Nigerian youth?’ Because I dedicated a track to him so I wanted the people to know why I said I was going to vote for him, I wanted them to know his plans.
We understand you run a foundation and you were appointed as the United Nations youth ambassador for peace, with your position what are your responsibilities and what have you done with you position?
I have much responsibility. I represent Africa, I represent Nigeria…do your research.
What was your take on the Occupy Nigeria and the fuel subsidy removal?
First of all, let’s take a minute silence for those who lost their lives during this period (a minute silence is observed)

I did not know anything that was happening [in Nigeria during protests] because I was working on my album in the UK.
But there was a protest in London why didn’t you participate?
I didn’t know anything that was happening in London about the fuel protest because I was working… I am not a politician! And everyone that knows me well knows I don’t like cold, so I couldn’t go outside.
 So what do you have to say?
I don’t have anything to say, I wasn’t in the country when it was happening.
But I wasn’t in the country also.
I’ve told you I don’t want to say anything about that topic, I don’t say what I don’t know anything about, If you know me very well I speak about what I know. I will not speak on something that I don’t know about. You will not get me to speak about what I don’t know. I wish my publicist told me that this was a political interview…
 So who operates your twitter handle?
I operate it but I’m not always online, I’m on twitter when I want to pass information not when you want me to.
There has been increase in poverty in Nigeria what do you have to say about this?
Yes I know, but poverty has always been in Nigeria. Let us focus on what we have, why are you hammering on negativity? I’ll speak from the angle that I know well which is the entertainment that is what I know we can export, we should invest our talents to escape from poverty. I’ve a concert tomorrow, I need to practice and prepare well so I can represent Africa well.

Robin Thick busted for smoking marijuana

American-Canadian R&B singer-songwriter, musician, Robin Thicke was arrested yesterday, Friday, February 17, 2012 in New York for marijuana possession, law enforcement says.

The 34-year-old Soul Train award winner was caught lighting up a joint in the afternoon while sitting in a Black SUV parked near the Madison Square Park, Manhattan, according to law enforcement. Reports say Thicke was ‘very cooperative’ and that he even took time to sign autographs for a couple of people.

Thicke was given a desk appearance ticket and released soon after. A rep for the singer has not yet made any comment.

Thicke’s last album ‘Love after war’ was released in December 2011.

Film critics have pre-Oscars "serious cinema" on the brain and are clutching their screener copies of The Help and The Artist like rosaries right now, praying that the arrival of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance in theaters isn't too much of an assault on their delicate sensibilities. The sequel, which wasn't screened for critics, has Nicolas Cage returning as Johnny Blaze—the cursed titular character with the flaming skull and matching motorcycle who is asked by a secret sect to save a boy from the Devil. With little competition in theaters and higher-than-expected tracking, the second Ghost Rider could easily blaze a trail of box-office dollars and stands to make more in its opening weekend than Best Picture shoo-in The Artist has made in its entire run.

Before the panned original Ghost Rider in 2007, Hollywood has had a long love affair with motorcycles on-screen. Marlon Brando plays the leader of the Black Rebels Motorcycle Club and rides a Triumph Thunderbird 6T in 1953's The Wild One, perhaps the first movie to associate rebellion with two wheels. Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper take a ride through the South and Southwest and learn the value of freedom during the peak of the hippie movement in 1969's Easy Rider, in which the duo ride atop custom Harley Davidson Hydra-Glide bikes. Another motorcycle movie about rebelling against societal norms is 1979's Quadrophenia, which is loosely based on the rock opera of the same name by the Who and follows a young Mod who finds an outlet for his angst by riding his Lambretta Li150 with his lads.



Director George A. Romero took a break from making zombie movies in 1981 and gave us Knightriders, which stars a Honda CBX-riding Ed Harris as "king" of a traveling troupe of armor-clad knights that joust one another on their motorcycles. In Mad Max, Mel Gibson played a road warrior of another sort—a crazed cop mourning the murder of his wife and son who takes on some post-apocalyptic badasses atop killer Kawasaki motorcycles.

Some of the most memorable movie motorcycle moments have been in sci-fi films. Who can forget Arnold Schwarzenegger's cyborg atop a Harley Fatboy in Terminator 2: Judgment Day as he chased down a truck in hot pursuit of young John Connor on a motorbike? Then, in 2009's Terminator Salvation, the futuristic motorcycles had minds of their own and hunted an adult John Connor (Christian Bale) and any other human in their path. Although not one of the most beloved sequels in the annals of cinema history, The Matrix Reloaded at least featured an epic freeway chase scene that had Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) weaving in and out of traffic on a Ducati 996.

Is there anything cooler than a high-speed motorcycle that leaves a wall of neon-colored energy in its trail for your enemies to crash into? That is what the Light Cycles do on the Grid in 1982's TRON and even more impressively in 2010's TRON: Legacy during the game matches. Both movies are available on DVD and Blu-ray, but you need to check out the sequel's Light Cycle sequence on Blu-ray 3D to really immerse yourself in the sense of freedom only a ride on two wheels can give you

Employing the services of the man behind Davido’s dami duro, Harrysong brings Shizzi on board to mould a sure-hit and official first single of his sophomore album titled ‘Taiye, Kehinde‘.

Rihanna’s Full Version Of Birthday Cake Will Feature Chris Brown!

Rihanna’s short but sweet song ‘Birthday Cake’ as it appeared on her latest album Talk That Talk was a real teaser but it is about to be released in full glory soon. Da Internz hinted to MTV earlier this week that the song’s feature will surprise everyone:

“We got the Rihanna ‘Birthday Cake’ coming out in a week,” Kosine said. “It’s gonna be crazy,” his production partner, Tuo, said shaking his head. “And the feature on there is gonna shock the world.”
