UNIBEN Cult Clash Leaves 4 Dead • Police Confirms Arrests

The University of Benin Campus was last weekend thrown into confusion as clashes between rival cult gangs left some students lying in their own blood, dead.

While the number of students killed so far could not be ascertained as at press time, no fewer than four deaths have been reported in the latest round of cult war in the institution between yet to be identified confraternities.

Late last week, a student was reportedly shot dead in broad daylight inside the main campus of the institution at Ugbowo in Benin City.

The dead student’s real name could not be ascertained but his alias was given as Snazzy, a 200-level student of the Department of Mathematics, who was shot in the neck during a bio-metric verification exercise.

In his reaction to the killings at UNIBEN, the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Moses Eguaveon, said some arrests had been made in connection with the killings.

Breaking news: Ukrainian plane detained in Kano

Security agents have detained an Ukrainian cargo plane at the Kano International Airport for carrying suspected military hardware.
Vanguard gathered that investigation is ongoing on the owners and the destination of the cargo.

This is coming few weeks after weapons believed to belong to Hezbollah was uncovered in a building belonging to a Lebanese businessman in Kano. The items recovered from the building include; 40 air-to-surface missiles, 50 cluster bombs, 200 rocket-propel launcher, eight AK-47 rifles, 200 military hand grenades, uncountable number of live ammunition and certain military hard wares deployed to destroy Armoured Personnel Carriers, APC.

Wizkid In An Accident With His New Car

Singer Wizkid was reportedly involved in a car accident at about 3:30AM today. He was lucky to have walked away from the incident injury free. Thank God for his life. Below is how the eye-witness and source reported it:

AT 3:30Am me and my friends were about to leave the Nokia Lumia beat party at the Oriental hotel . As we waited for a cab it was raining all of a sudden we heard a loud noise behind us. We turn to check what has happened, right in front of our eyes we saw a car making drifts and wanting to tumble …first we had the shocking/ trilling feeling we got to actually experience such a magnificent incident… As we rush down to check if their was any survival all of and suddenly we realized it was star boyz new porsche car with the plates ‘W’ as we approached further the MAN OF STEEL (star boy) walks out not only saving him self but along with the girls with him lol, without any scratch or injuries.. The only thing damaged was his new porsche car worth of 50m, i guess we wouldn’t be seeing wizz in his porsche for a while…

Photos: UNIBEN student shot in the head at school sports complex

A 200level Mathematics student of the University of Benin known as Snazzy was shot in the head by an unknown gun man around 2pm yesterday afternoon during the biometrics registration held in the university sports complex.

Eye witnesses say the gunman dropped the gun and disappeared into the crowd before he could be identified. Snazzy was immediately rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. Don't know for sure if he died or survived. Will update as soon as I have confirmation.
