‘I’m not gay’ Banky W says

Nigerian R&B singer, Banky W has reacted to rumours about his sexuality.

The singer mentioned this during an interview he granted to Y! Magazine, saying ‘It’s hilarious to me and completely false. I’m not. Maybe it’s because I’m not married, and I practice safe sex and thus have no children yet.’

Speaking on his political ambitions, the EME label boss confessed his desire to constantly throw his weight behind candidates he believes in, since he can’t run for office himself ‘…our constitution states that you have to have been born in Nigeria to qualify. I wasn’t, so I don’t qualify anyway. I figure my time will be better spent throwing as much support behind candidates that I feel should be the ones leading the country’, he said.

Banky W and his label mates recently released an all-star album titled ‘Empire Mates State of Mind’ and are currently on a U.S tour that will end on Sunday, September 2, 2012

Jennifer Lopez Confirms She’s Leaving ‘American Idol’1 Day After Steven Tyler Announces Departure

'I honestly feel that the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do that I put kind of on hold because I love ‘Idol’ so much,' Lopez said Friday morning
Jennifer Lopez is the latest judge to flee “American Idol.”The Bronx-born singer made the announcement Friday during “On Air with Ryan Seacrest,” one day after fellow judge Steven Tyler also confirmed he’s stepping away from the show.
“I honestly feel that the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do that I put kind of on hold because I love ‘Idol’ so much,” Lopez, 42, tells Seacrest, who also hosts the Fox singing competition.
“You have a lot of other responsibilities, and a lot of other things that you do and you have to pay attention to that too,” Lopez adds. “I could keep just doing ‘Idol’ for the rest of my life, but that would be giving up a bunch of other things. We had an amazing run.”
She admits it was a rough decision to made.
“It’s just been a really long thought process,” Lopez says. “I’ve been telling the absolute truth in the sense that I really have been torn since we spoke about it, even before the finale, like what are we going to do next year.”

But Lopez pointed out she had originally only signed on to do one year of the show, but stayed for two.
“I didn’t know I would be so moved emotionally by working on the show and working with the contestants,” Lopez says. “It was just such a lovely surprise in my life to do it.”
The show’s third judge, Randy Jackson, may also be on his way out.
He plans to leave his judging job, and move into a mentoring role on “Idol,” a source told Us Weekly.
Mariah Carey is in serious talks to step into one of the empty judge’s seats, according to the magazine.
Lopez left open the chance to make appearances on the show in the future.
“I feel like no matter what you guys need over there, I’m always going to be here,” she told Seacreast. “If you call me and say, ‘We need you to come for the first show,’ I’m like, ‘Yes ok!’ ‘We need you to come and be a mentor.’ ‘Alight.’ I feel like there’s just that tie there.”

(Beef) MEEK MILL TO CASSIDY: "JUST SAY IT 2 MY FACE...I'M ALWAYS HOME"

Philadelphia is known as 'The City of Brotherly Love.' Well, not all the time.
Cassidy seems to be feeling a way about Meek Mill's success. Last night (July 12) on TWITTER, Cassidy began retweeting a series of fans' questionable comments about his fellow Philly rhyme slinger.
"How come when @MeekMill got put on mmg he aint do nothing wit @CASSIDY_LARSINY? They my two favorite rappers," Cassidy retweeted a fans' comment, saying.
Meek didn't take that tweet's implication well and let it be known with a TWEET of his own, directed at Cass.
"Just say it 2 my face... I'm always home... Y'all b getting beside y'all self with this send button don't confuse this twitter wit real life... #hating."
The MMG spitter since deleted those comments, but seemed to address Cass Da Hustla subliminally with a tweet in the wee hours of Friday morning (July 13).
"When u eating everyday a nigga gone have a problem wit ya!," Meek exclaimed. "It's a shame...get money and stop hating!"
"Everyday I wake up somebody got a problem wit meek!" he added.
The young rhyme slinger isn't too far off with his latter statement. His name was thrown into the mix for allegedly BREAKING A BOTTLE ON A CHRIS BROWN during the R&B singer's New York City club brawl with Drake last month. (Meek vehemently denied being involved in the nasty incident to XXLMAG.COM).
Just earlier this week, Meek called into Philadelphia'sThe Q Deezy Show to address Philly Reverend Jomo K. Johnson, who called for a boycott of Meek's music after hearing his track "Amen." The two had a LIVE ON-AIR DEBATE.
Some feel like Cassidy simply retweeted the questionable fan tweet to bait Meek Mill. That's because Cass recently dropped his MAYHEM MUSIC MIXTAPE, the third installment of his Apply Pressure street offerings

Justin Bieber Sued After Screaming Fans Damaged Woman's Hearing

Loud music isn't the only risk to your ears at a Justin Bieber** concert, or so alleges a woman who attended the teen sensation's show in 2010.

According to a $9.23 million lawsuit brought by Stacey Wilson Betts, her hearing was permanently damaged after taking her daughter to a concert in Portland, Ore., TMZ reports.

But the music wasn't the problem. Betts claims it was the screaming of Bieber's fans -- and his encouragement of them -- that have left her with tinnitus that makes it difficult to sleep.

The suit says Bieber entered a "heart-shaped aluminum/steel gondola," which is when things got bad. He allegedly "created a wave-like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena. Then enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion."

Bieber, his record label, the concert venue and the concert promoter are named in the suit.

Bieber was recently named to Forbes list of highest paid entertainers under 30, with a reported $55 million in earnings between May 2011 and May 2012.

ROCKIE FRESH TALKS SIGNING TO RICK ROSS' MMG

Last night (July 12), Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group's roster grew by one. Rozay signed Chicago rapper Rockie Fresh in New York City, before celebrating the partnership in Queens at Club Perfections.
"I got that locked in," Fresh told XXL shortly after arriving back home in the Windy City today (July 12). "It was a long time coming, but we got it right. I let him know it was something I wanted to do earlier this week. We really cracked down. His lawyer put in work, so did mine until we got to common ground and I signed last night."
Rockie says other labels did court him, but he always knew MMG was where he would want to wind up.
"It was a crazy feeling man....I honestly did have good amount of offers on the table," Rockie explained. "Even though my situation is kinda under the radar, a lot of people took interest in the music from an industry point of view.I had some good looks, but nothing felt as real as the MMG situation.
"Knowing how Ross is, being able to be around him, he's probably one of the best dudes to be working for," the Chi-town native added. "He makes it more so feel like you are working with him. It's one of those situations that felt real good to me. I feel we gonna make a lot of bread together down the line."
Fresh joins the lineup of Wale, Stalley, Meek Mill and Omarion as Ross' recruits through MMG/ Warner Brothers. With Chicago currently booming with young talent--such as Interscope-signee Chief Keef, and Def Jam's Lil Reese and Lil Durk--Fresh says he's eager to bring some of that Windy City flavor to the Bawse's untouchable empire.
"I'm the only Chicago artist on MMG--we got our own style of music, our own vibe, our own problems and situations," Fresh said. "And just me talking about that and staying true to the sound of my city. And also on the pop level, I have a lot pop records that lean towards that direction. I feel that it gives me a different sound from everybody else on the label that adds to the team.
"That's gonna be an amazing thing for my growth as a artist in general," he added about making songs with MMG's group of rhyme slingers. "Guys like Wale and Meek are looked at as some of the top young dudes in the game right now. For me to do songs with them, I have to challenge myself to go in on verses, so it's only gonna make me a better young artist. It's going to be tremendous for my growth."
Rockie is putting together his new mixtape for the fall, entitled, Electric Highway. This summer he'll be touring as a nopener on Meek Mill's Dreamchaser 2 outing. After that, Rockie is slated to head his own headlining tour.-
