Troye Sivan. I never heard of him before this past Wednesday. My twin 14 year old nieces told me about him. He’s a huge star on YouTube, where the kids are all going for their music. Today his EP, which won’t be released until August 15th, is number 1 on the iTunes album chart. Are you kidding? I am not.
Sivan could be the next Justin Bieber. Let’s just pray he’s not, in so many ways. He has a hit song called “The Fault in Our Stars.” He wrote, produced and released it in 2013, inspired by John Green’s novel. It’s not on the movie’s soundtrack. That CD produced no breakout single. You wonder why Sivan’s song wasn’t on it. We’ll find out.
He’s a new breed of kid. Last year he released a YouTube video to his millions of fans– he’s HUGE in Australia and South Africa, his two homes– announcing he is gay. The kids don’t care. It’s 2014. If a pop star had said that in 1974, everyone would have fainted. Now, what the heck! I like this generation, but I don’t know what to call them. Generation ZZ?
Anyway, here’s Troye. I’m surprised Scooter Braun hasn’t adopted him yet. But he’s managed in America by Group III, and he’s signed to Universal Music.
Just after picturing him yesterday with Chris Brown and Tyga in the studio, Wizkid posted another picture of him with Justin Bieber together at a show, saying he is full of talent. Wiz isn’t just in L.A to waste his time after all.Wizkid’s been hanging out with quite a few music big act in LA… Made men balling
Justin Bieber has been offered $1 million to front a strip club chain’s TV ads, Confidenti@l has learned.
The offer comes from the Hustler Clubs, headed by world-famous pornographer Larry Flynt, which are planning a nationwide campaign to get men to stop “outsourcing visits to strip clubs and from now on buy only American.”
In a leaked letter filled with grammatical errors, marketing directorDavid Lieberman
makes a bizarre proposal for a TV commercial that would involve Bieber
passionately kissing a woman clad in an American-flag bikini and burying
his face in her “38 Double D’s.”
Bieber would then say to the camera, “Keep it here in the good old U.S.
of A.” and “Keep the lap dances a-coming when you turn 21.”
Writes Lieberman: “That’s not really an ad, it’s actually a public service announcement for Justin’s legions of fans who (are) about to enter adulthood.”
The letter also proposes that Bieber do an ad for the Hustler Club in London, with a woman clad in a Union Jack bikini and the star saying, “Keep it here in jolly old England.”
Also offered: a party for Bieber and his dad, Jeremy, on the singer’s 21st birthday next March.
Lieberman writes: “There is a time honored tradition in this great
country of ours of fathers taking their sons to Strip Clubs when they
reach 21 to learn what it means to truly be a man, and Justin can set a
shining example in continuing that uniquely American rite of passage —
even though we know of course that Justin is Canadian.”
There’s also a warning that Charlie Sheen is next on the list if
Bieber declines. The letter declares ominously, “I’m sure that I don’t
have to tell you that this could be the last big offer that he will ever
receive.”
One of Flynt’s right-hand men — VP of Communications Arthur Sando — confirms that the offer stands.
“It came from our marketing department. Mr. Flynt gave his approval,” Sando says.
The proposal comes at a time when Bieber is under severe scrutiny. He’s
waiting to learn if police will prosecute him for vandalism over
egg-throwing accusations, and the LAPD is investigating a report that he
attempted to steal a cell phone. In addition, there have been lawsuits over his bodyguards’ behavior.
Paris Hilton is officially a…cougar!
The hotel heiress was spotted partying in Cannes last night at Busta Rhymes' birthday party at Gotha Nightclub with Justin Bieber.
Hilton
didn't let their age difference (she's 33, he's 20) get in the way of
some playful coziness with a shirtless Bieber—she hopped into his lap
while he was sitting on a throne. We wonder what Hilton's most recent
boyfriend, 22-year-old model River Viiperi will think about that.
Before
Bieber and Hilton left the club together (is it too early to call them
"Jaris"?) with an entourage surrounding them, Biebs got on the mic to
wish Rhymes a "happy birthday." NEWS: Drake Bell slams Justin Bieber (again) over alleged robbery

And one point, a very wobbly Biebster was throwing ice into the crowd, a source reports.
Bieber first popped up in the South of France earlier in the evening when he made a surprise appearance at the Vanity Fair and Armani party at Hotel du Cap.
"He
was with two guys," a source told me. "People were a little surprised
when they saw him because it was like, 'What is he doing here?'"
A source confirms that Jennifer Lawrence
wanted to meet him, but when the Oscar winner did, she declined taking a
photo with the Biebs because she just wanted it to be "normal" when
meeting him.
A member of the audience at Justin Bieber's stage show in Dubai tackled the singer from behind while he was performing at a grand piano.
Bieber managed to free himself and ran to the side of the stage while security guards grabbed the intruder, who managed to knock the piano over and onto its side.
The singer later retweeted descriptions of the "mayhem".
He later tweeted: "Dubai. Nothing stops the show. 2 more to go."
Footage on YouTube shows Bieber carried on performing while security guards removed the fan and picked up the piano.
He is in the middle of a world tour called Believe which began last September and includes about 100 dates.
'Wasn't a prank' Reports said that the globally successful 19-year-old took a three-minute break after the on-stage fracas before returning to sing Boyfriend and then Baby.
His guitarist and musical director Dan Kanter later tweeted: "It wasn't a prank. Someone ran on stage during Believe and the piano got knocked off its platform. Everyone is fine. No need to worry!"
A parent of one of Bieber's fans at the Dubai gig, Steve Hoare, told the BBC that as the tickets cost about £100 each, a lot of parents were left angry afterwards.
He said: "My 16-year-old daughter said that the kids at the concert were pretty shocked by it all.
"The attacker may have been an adoring fan. But it was probably someone who was annoyed at Justin Bieber being more than two hours late, as he was the night before.
"Both nights are school nights here, so it was not clever and pretty arrogant, particularly when you play a set that is only just over an hour long."
He added that "this kind of thing doesn't happen in Dubai".
Mr Hoare said that as the region relies "so heavily on tourism", he would be interested to see "what action the authorities take".
Bieber has not been short of headlines recently. Last month he provoked fierce online criticism with his message in a guestbook at the Anne Frank Museum, saying he hoped the Holocaust victim would have been a fan.
The Canadian pop idol wrote: "Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber."
The museum defended the star but added his comment "wasn't very sensible".
Loud music isn't the only risk to your ears at a Justin Bieber** concert, or so alleges a woman who attended the teen sensation's show in 2010.
According to a $9.23 million lawsuit brought by Stacey Wilson Betts, her hearing was permanently damaged after taking her daughter to a concert in Portland, Ore., TMZ reports.
But the music wasn't the problem. Betts claims it was the screaming of Bieber's fans -- and his encouragement of them -- that have left her with tinnitus that makes it difficult to sleep.
The suit says Bieber entered a "heart-shaped aluminum/steel gondola," which is when things got bad. He allegedly "created a wave-like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena. Then enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion."
Bieber, his record label, the concert venue and the concert promoter are named in the suit.
Bieber was recently named to Forbes list of highest paid entertainers under 30, with a reported $55 million in earnings between May 2011 and May 2012.
