"MY HATERS ARE MY MOTIVATORS"

Since the announcement that Ellen DeGeneres would be the new spokesperson for JCPenney, the Emmy winner has been at the center of a campaign to boycott the retailer. Ellen addressed the "haters" head-on in the opening monologue of Wednesday's edition of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Ellen DeGeneres is firing back at a conservative interest group that launched a campaign to convince JCPenney (sometimes simply called Penney's) to drop the daytime gabber as a celebrity spokesmodel.

In case you aren't in-the-know, One Million Moms raised the ire of gay rights proponents last week, when it ordered its supporters to boycott the retailer following its appointment of the "openly gay" Ellen as the face of the clothing and household brand. The group, a division of the socially right-wing American Family Association, argued that Penney's was trying to gain a new target market by "jumping on the pro-gay bandwagon" with its hiring of one of the nation's best-known gay celebrities.

One Million Moms -- which also famously spoke out against the debut of the polygamist TLC soapSister Wives -- demanded that Ellen be replaced in a controversial posting to its website.

"Funny that JCPenney thinks hiring an open homosexual person will help their business when most of their customers are traditional families. DeGeneres is not a true representation of the type of families that shop at their store. The majority of JCPenney shoppers will be offended and choose to no longer shop there," the message read.

Ellen broke her silence on the furor during a taping for Wednesday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She confessed that she normally prefers to avoid talking about such matters on her show. But this time she made an exception… just this once.

"Normally I try not to pay attention to my haters, but this time I'd like to talk about it because my haters are my motivators."

She poked fun at the One Million Moms group, but said she was "proud and happy" that the department store has stood by her in the face of the anti-gay campaign.

"This organization doesn't think I should be the spokesperson because I'm gay. For those of you who are just tuning in for the first time, it's true. I'm gay. I hope you were sitting down. I hate to break it to you this way, but anyway," cracked the star, who wed love Portia de Rossi in August 2008.

"They [One Million Moms] wanted to get me fired and I am proud and happy to say that JCPenney stuck by their decision to make me their spokesperson," Ellen continued.

"Being gay or pro-gay isn't a bandwagon. You don't get a free ride anywhere. There's no music. And occasionally we'll sing 'We Are Family,' but that's about it," she joked.

DeGeneres then noted that the One Million Moms group only has " 40,000 members on their (Facebook) page. So they're rounding up to the nearest million and I get that."

Ellen, who is also an ambassador for CoverGirl cosmetics, pointed to other -- far more offensive -- celebrity spokesfolks that the organization could badger.

"I mean, if they have a problem with spokespeople, what about the Pillsbury Doughboy? He runs around without any pants on, basically begging for people to poke his belly. What kind of message is that?"

“You can use that car for anything: go out on the town, go to the grocery store,” he says. “But it’ll sneak up on you. It rides so smooth. You can be going 115 and not even know it.”

The baby girl, Mabel Ray Willis, was born on Saturday in Los Angeles at 9 pounds, 1ounce, according to the rep. Willis and his model bride, 33, "are overjoyed about the newest member of their family. Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully."

Apparently the Willis genes are comprised entirely of strong female DNA — he's the father of three daughters with ex-wife Demi Moore: Rumer Willis, 23, Scout, 20 and Tallulah, 18.

He's gained a reputation as one of Hollywood's good dads, thanks to his healthy view of co-parenting with his ex-wife.

"We’ve become like a tribe," he said in 2009 of his parenting with Moore, then married toAshton Kutcher. "It’s generated a lot of interest because everyone can understand resentment and envy in the breakup of a marriage, but they don’t understand how I can get along with my ex like that. Demi and I made a choice to put the kids first, and we’re really lucky that it turns out we all have fun together. I still love her, and I have a lot of respect for how she lives her life."

However, his good reputation isn't intact with everyone. Director Kevin Smith called Willis out recently for his behavior on the set of their 2009 action flick Cop Out.

"He turned out to be the unhappiest, most bitter and meanest emo-bitch I ever met at any job I’ve held. And mind you, I worked at Domino’s," Smith wrote in his new memoir.

Alec Baldwin engaged to 28-year-old yoga instructor

Actor Alec Baldwin has popped the question to his girlfriend, a yoga instructor who is 26 years his junior.

The 30 Rock star has been dating 28-year-old Hilaria Thomas for about a year.

"Yes, it's true!" Baldwin's spokesperson told 3m360

"Alec proposed to Hilaria this weekend and we're all excited for the newly-engaged couple. Alec's birthday is tomorrow. Great way to celebrate!"

Baldwin turns 54 this week.

The couple both thanked well-wishers on Twitter, while Baldwin's daughter Ireland tweeted: "Congratulations to @AlecBaldwin an @hilariathomas on getting engaged! Love you guys.

"I'm going to be a flower girl."

Thomas was recently photographed in New York City wearing a giant diamond ring on her left hand.

During an interview on CNN earlier this year, Baldwin spoke about his joy in meeting the New York yoga teacher.

"Right before I met Hilaria, I ... lay in my bed and [said] 'this is it'.

"I'm going to be alone for the rest of my life. I'm going to die alone in this apartment, in this bed.

"I'll have my friends. I'll have Twitter. I'll have Words with Friends. I'll have my New Yorker subscription. I'll have my table at Elio's.

"You know, I'll have my quiet life. I'll have my quiet Manhattan life.

"And then right when I put it all on the shelf and it was over, and then I walked into a restaurant downtown on Gramercy Park.

"And I met this woman who is probably one of the greatest people I have ever met in my life as a person."

Baldwin was married to actress Kim Basinger from 1993 to 2002, when the pair went through a very public divorce.

Baldwin also told CNN having more children would be "heaven".

"As my friends said to me, when you have children, typically in a second marriage ... you must always remember that you make sure they attend a college where the commencement ceremonies are held in a facility with a wheelchair accessible ramp."

SANDLER'S CLEAN SWEEP

Has Adam Sandler hit rock bottom? Financially no, but creatively his movies have taken a nosedive. Sunday, the films Jack and Jill and Just Go With It were honored in the worst possible way at the 2012 Razzies.

Adam Sandler is being awarded for all the wrong reasons. Over the weekend, the actor and comedian swept every category (all 10) at the Razzies. That's not a positive feat.

Each year, the Golden Raspberry Foundation acknowledges the worst that film has to offer. Over 650 members vote on the most dishonorable screenplays, directors, couples and actors.

Thanks to the combination of Jack and Jill and Just Go With It, Sandler managed to score wins in both the worst actor and actress categories. Oscar-winner Al Pacino also felt the Razzies' wrath and earned an award for worst supporting actor. But here's the kicker, he played himself!

Scott Storch Sued -- He Was Too DRUGGED OUT to Produce My Album

Legendary hip hop producer Scott Storch is being sued by an aspiring singer … who claims she paid Storch a ton of money to produce her album … but he was too drugged out to get the job done.

The woman on the attack is Treena Ruberg … who claims Storch — who’s worked with superstars like Dr. Dre, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and more — agreed to produce 6 songs for Treena in exchange for $45,000 back in October 2011 … $30k of which she paid up front.

According to Treena’s lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Storch acknowledged he had a previous drug problem … but insisted he was now “cured of his past problem” and would be able to deliver the tracks by the end of November.

But Treena says Storch straight up lied … claiming he “continued to have a drug addiction and other personal problems which rendered him incapable of producing any recordings.”

Now, Treena says she wants her $30k back … plus an additional $70k for all of the out-of-pocket expenses she incurred during the process … including plane flights, studio time and having to hire another producer.

Calls to Storch’s rep have not been returned.
