2016 BET Hip Hop Award Winners Announced

The 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards are upon us as the show is airing now.

DJ Khaled is hosting the festivities, which include performances from Gucci Mane, Isaiah Rashad, T.I., Desiigner, 21 Savage and more.

The first award goes to Kendrick Lamar with the Lyricist of the Year. Fat Joe and Remy Ma take home the award for Track of the Year with “All the Way Up.”

Drake leads the pack with 14 nominations.

This is the final smiling selfie taken by a mother-of two just moments before she crashed her bike and was fatally injured barely 100 yards from her home. 

Carmen Greenway, 41, had been drinking at her mother's birthday dinner and was riding home from the pub without a helmet when she took the happy photo.

But moments later she was flung from the saddle and cracked her skull. She was rushed to hospital in Paddington, central London, but died six days later from cardiac arrest.

The 48-year-old's arms have doubled in size from 12in after he began injecting the potentially lethal oil substance five years ago - and now he wants to get even bigger.

Valdir, from Sao Paulo, Brazil, is inspired by the physiques of Arnold Schwarzenegger and the Hulk and is proud to be known locally as 'He-Man' and 'the monster' in the street.

After Forbes has crowned Jay Z and Beyonce the world’s highest paid celebrity couple, it looks like they will continue to widen the gap in 2017. Bey is still traveling the world on her last leg of  the Lemonade World Tour, and while Jay has been accompanying her city to city – he has just closed a major film and TV deal with The Weinstein Company film studio.

Jay Z’s two year contract with The Weinstein Company involves him producing a series of scripted and unscripted television and movie projects with TWC having first-look options with the rapper. Jay Z proves his value even in the world of film being that director, Antoine Fuqua, is the only other first-look deal TWC has contracted.

FREDDIE GIBBS HAS BEEN ACQUITTED OF SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGE IN AUSTRIA

Freddie Gibbs was charged with sexual assault back in August for reportedly assaulting a woman in Vienna while he was on tour in 2015. The rapper was arrested in France back in June and was then extradited to Austria where he was released on bail.

Today [Friday, September 30], it was confirmed by Gibbs’ lawyer that his client had been acquitted of the charges, and that he was returning home.

Hillary Clinton is surging in the first poll released after one of Donald Trump's roughest weeks on the campaign trail.

A Morning Consult/Politico pollof likely national voters released Monday gave the former secretary of state a 6-point lead over Trump in a four-way race, with Clinton garnering 42% support to Trump's 36% support, while Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson received 9% support and Green presidential nominee Jill Stein received 2% support.

Clinton's surge comes after Trump has faced a week of largely negative major stories he has attempted to brush off.

After the first presidential debate last Monday night, which was widely seen as a success for Clinton, the real-estate magnate raised eyebrows by repeatedly discussing the physical appearance of Alicia Machado, the winner of the 1996 Miss Universe pageant whom Trump asked to lose weight.

Flames erupted out of manholes on a main road in east London after an electrical fire underground.

At least two explosions rocked Mare Street in Hackney after a fault developed at a junction box.

Eyewitnesses reported two loud bangs outside Hackney Town Hall followed by flames erupting from the ground.

There have been no reports of injuries.

A safety cordon was put up and roads were closed off leaving people stranded as they tried to get into work.

The London Fire Brigade and police said they were called to reports of explosions on Mare Street at 9.33am.

Kim Kardashian has been held up at gunpoint in Paris.

The reality star was threatened by two armed masked me dressed as police officers.

Her spokesperson said she is "badly shaken but physically unharmed".

The incident is believed to have happened in the early hours of Monday.

Kardashian's superstar husband Kanye West was performing a gig almost 6,000 miles away in New York, but suddenly walked off stage stating he had a "family emergency".

The rapper was performing at the Meadows Festival in Queens.

Coroner's warning after 16-month-old girl died after getting caught in window blind cord while playing with a toy vacuum cleaner

A coroner has issued a stern warning about home safety after a 16-month-old girl died was strangled by window blind chord that she had been caught in while playing with a toy vacuum cleaner.

An inquest heard how angel-faced Bronwyn Taylor was in the conservatory when she got her neck caught inside a beaded cord loop at her grandparents' home and fell over on April 2.

The inquisitive youngster suffered catastrophic injuries and was found by her grandmother, retired nurse Shirley Taylor, 66, who desperately tried to resuscitate her.

Ambulance crews dashed to the house in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, after receiving a 999 call at 3.30pm and rushed her to hospital.

But Bronwyn suffered a cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead when she arrived at Royal Stoke University Hospital.

A post-mortem found she died as a result of strangulation via a window blind, an inquest at North Staffordshire Coroners Court heard.

Assistant coroner David James described the death as an 'utter tragedy' and implored parents to ensure their blinds are safe.

Recording a conclusion of accidental death, he said: 'I can see plentiful use in me asking, imploring, advising, stressing to landlords, homeowners, parents, grandparents and local authorities, the importance of double-checking and ensuring all window blinds and fitments are safe.

'If they are not, or are suspected of not being, the blinds must be modified to make them safe or be replaced.

'Everything must be done to reduce or eliminate the risk of such tragedies as this from occurring again.

Police officers investigating images of a woman having sex with a dinosaur have identified a suspect after the sculpture had to be thoroughly cleaned by council workers.

Graphic images emerged showing the woman naked from her waist down on a children's dinosaur sculpture in Exmouth last week.

She was seen mounting the baby Tyrannosaurus Rex model, who was placed in a fake egg.

The model is part of the popular local children's attraction - the Exmouth Dino Trail.

Sergeant Richard Stonecliffe, from Exmouth Police, said: "We are still continuing our investigations and we have now identified the woman in the photographs who we will be speaking to."

Officers are yet to charge anyone related to the images however.
