2pac back! Watch the late rapper perform alongside Snopp Dogg

Hold up, before you 2pac Amaru Shakur faithfuls start thinking the West side rapper has resurrected, please read the remainder of this article.

On Sunday night, April 15, 2012, fans who came to watch California hip-hop greats Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Annual Festival were stunned when 2pac stepped on stage!

Apparently, a hologram was used to retrace the rapper’s physique and fans were more than thrilled to watch the rapper perform his smash hits ‘Carlifornia love’, ‘Hail Mary’ and a nostalgic collaborative performance with rap veteran Snoop Dogg.

Others who performed at the concert included Eminem, 50 Cent, Wiz Khalifa and Kendrick Lamar, as well as by Warren G who performed a tribute for another fallen hip-hop great Nate Dogg.

Now that this Hologram technology has been introduced into mainstream media, it’ll be nice to ‘resurrect’ some otheracts so we can watch them ‘perform live’ again. Maybe an Aaliyah, a Bob Marley, surely a Michael Jackson!

Two days after a nasty armed robbery attack that left him frightened and fretting, super-producer OJB says ‘it was God’ that saved him.

He shared his ordeal with NET in an interview ‘we were coming back from an event when we suddenly saw a trailer in our front. We were trying to avoid it, when a group of guys suddenly jumped down from the vehicle. One guy put a gun straight to my face and said give me your phones and all that. I looked out through the mirror and saw the other two with guns. What was surprising was that after collecting the phones and everything we had, they still shot at us’, he said, obviously still shaken

‘They shot but we were lucky nobody got hurt. How we came out of the car no one knows. I wish I could tell you, I struggled with the gun and all that, but it was all God.’

But the singer-producer, who’s responsible for some of the biggest hits of the 90s and early 2000s, says he’s putting the experience behind him and settling down to do some work.

‘I am working on an album which will be out in September and it cuts across to everyone. I have inspirational songs on it and more’ he said.

Police Inspector Stabs Wife To Death 

A police inspector Sunday Ilu-Egben attached to Ikeja Police Division, has stabbed his wife death.

3 m360 .NEWS investigation revealed that Ilu-egben stabbed his wife, Caroline, on Thursday night and she later died on Friday.

It was gathered that Caroline, mother of four was stabbed during a quarrel with her husband at the Olosan Police Barracks, Mushin, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

The incident occurred at the inspector’s residence where he lives with his family.

A source told our correspondent that the inspector and his late wife were living separately due to a misunderstanding prior to the incident. But the late Caroline usually visits the barracks to see her children. Often, she slept at the barracks during such visits, it was learnt.

On the day of the tragic incident, the late Caroline arrived at night and slept with her husband on the same bed in the parlour, while the children slept in the bedroom.

According to one of the daughters (names withheld) who spoke to the police, “my daddy and mummy have not been living together because of a querrel they had in the past. But mummy usually comes to check us and gives us something. She would also sleep.

“But between Thursday night and Friday, when she came, she slept with daddy in the parlour, on the same matress because daddy usually sleeps in the parlour while we sleep in the room. Daddy used to wake up at 5.30 a.m. and leaves for work at 7.00 a.m. When I got to the parlour, I saw my mother’s mouth covered with a scarf with a pillow soaked in blood. She was stabbed on the neck.

“I raised the alarm. We rushed her to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH because she was still breathing. But she later died at 2.00 p.m. on Friday.”

3m360 .NEWS checks revealed that Inspector Ilu-Egben has not reported at his duty post at Ikeja Police Division since the incident happened on Friday.

But he was calling his daughter on phone to ask if the wife has recovered.

Contacted on phone this morning, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Supol Joseph Jaiyeoba confirmed the incident adding, “the case is under investigation.”

Meanwhile, the corpse of the late Mrs. Caroline Ilu-Egben had been deposited at the morgue for autopsy

Customs Officers Kill Vulcaniser At Checkpoint 

A 23-year old vulcaniser, Olalekan Elegbede was Sunday shot dead at about 3:00p.m. by men of Nigeria Customs Service at Ajilete checkpoint in Yewa South Local Government, Ogun State, southwest Nigeria.

The father of the deceased, Alhaji Isiaka Olugbokiki Elegbede told 3m360 .NEWS that Mr. Bamidele Adeleye gave his car with registration number LAGOS DQ 927 JJJ to his son from Oke-Odan to take to a car wash at Ajilete, a neighbouring town to wash.

But the Customs men mistook him for a smuggler and shot him at a close range. The bullet hit him on the chin and he died immediately.

Youth around the area who heard the sad news went after the customsmen who had already fled their duty post.

They burnt a Land Rover belonging to the Nigeria Customs Service and their makeshift shed around the place.

They took over the checkpoints and disrupted vehicular traffic.

Soldiers from 192 Battalion, Owode Yewa and policemen from Owode Yewa Police Station, Ogun Command took control of the situation and eventually restored normalcy.

Where P.M.NEWS contacted the Nigeria Customs Service, PRO, Mr . Chike Ngige on phone he said he was yet to be officially briefed about the incident.

When a similar incident occurred at the same checkpoint late last year during which Moruf Sanmi a.k.a Yaro was killed by the Customs men, the authorities of the Nigeria Customs Service warned its men to desist from indiscriminate shooting and that on no account must they shoot their guns without taking orders from a superior officer.

Meanwhile the father of the deceased has vowed to take the case up legally.

The corpse of the victim has been released to the family by the police for burial

news retro: Young Aspiring Nigerian Rapper Killed in the US

A 24yr old aspiring Nigerian rapper, Frank Ikechukwu Amobi, was gunned down on Tuesday Dec 27th around 6:30am, while on his way to work, in the US.

The popular local rapper known as Frank Diggy, was killed while waiting for a bus near a bus stop in the White Oak neighborhood of Silver Spring, Montgomery County.

Police say it wasn't a random shoot, that Amobi had been targeted, but no one has been arrested for his murder and no other information was immediately available.

Before his death, Amobi faced charges including drug possession, theft and assault, but had been working hard to turn his life around. RIP, man.
