Why Discipline Helps Kids

it doesn’t usually feel great to discipline your kid. There is often anger, sadness, tension, stress, and sometimes even tears. But proper discipline is one of the most important components of your child’s development. Difficult confrontations now will ultimately make life easier for you and, especially, your kid.
In short, discipline it’s is about teaching children a system of values that they can use to guide them through life. This system can lead to a healthier emotional life that promotes the development of self-motivation, self-control, personality, and decision-making processes. In other words, discipline allows children to develop self-discipline, and helps them become emotionally and socially mature adults.

”Somebody once told me the definition of hell:
“On your last day on earth, the person you became will meet the person you could have become.” — Anonymous

Sometimes, to become successful and get closer to the person you can become, you don’t need to add more things — you need to give some of them up.

There are certain things that are universal, which will make you successful if you give up on them, even though each one of us could have a different definition of success.
You can give up on some of them as soon as today, while it might take a bit longer to give up on others.

1. Give Up On The Unhealthy Lifestyle
“Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.” — Jim Rohn
If you want to achieve anything in life, everything starts here. First, you should take care of your health, and there are only three things you need to keep in mind:
Quality Sleep
Healthy Diet
Physical Activity
Small steps, but you will thank yourself one day.

The Heartland of Sex Trafficking (A Dark Business in The Midwest)

The Midwest remains stubbornly fertile ground for sex trafficking

Human trafficking is a major industry in the U.S., but one of the problems in identifying what it is is because it looks like many things to many people. In the Midwest, trafficking is dominant because of the intersection of federal interstates that easily transport victims through a circuit that can span all the major cities in just a week, spurred by online advertising that authorities say is difficult to stop. This new series will look at the sex trafficking of minors, labor trafficking found on major farm operations. A third story will look at how trafficking has hit Cook County, Illinois, the heart of Chicago, and how a local sheriff there has made stopping it one of his highest priorities.

Indonesia Stock Exchange collapse: Dozens injured as mezzanine floor gives way above Starbucks

Fire swiftly engulfed a shuttle boat Sunday afternoon used to ferry patrons to a casino ship off Florida’s Gulf Coast, forcing the crew and dozens of passengers to jump into chilly waters close to shore, authorities said.

Fifteen people complaining of chest pain, smoke inhalation and other minor injuries were taken to the hospital to be checked, authorities said, adding no injuries were life-threatening after the huge fire consumed the boat close to a residential neighborhood.

Port Richey Chief of Police Gerard DeCanio said all 50 passengers and the crew reached land safely as the fast-spreading flames devoured the shuttle boat. Huge flames leaped from the vessel and a dark plume of black smoke cut across sunny skies on an unusually chilly winter day in the Tampa Bay region.

“It looked pretty dramatic because the shuttle boat burned really fast,” DeCanio told The Associated Press by phone.

What You Need to Know Before Getting a Tattoo

Image result for What to look for in a tattoo

It’s important to have your core idea fleshed out before setting up a consultation — unless you’re coming in for lettering, which often only requires you to decide on a font. During the consultation, your artist can work out the finer details. You can show them any images you’ve saved as inspiration and figure out placement and pricing.

Depending on the time they have available, the artist may create a mock-up of your tattoo on the spot or a few days later, but ultimately, the final results will depend on several factors:

how much of your body you want to dedicate to the art
how feasible the tattoo placement is
how well the colors you want will show up on your skin tone
how much time you want to spend with the artist
Here’s more on what you should consider when designing your next tattoo:
