Tycoon’s internet bride ‘set up his hit-and-run murder’, inquest hears

Barry Pring, 47, died in 2008 after celebrating his first wedding anniversary with Ukrainian wife Ganna Ziuzina, 28. 

The businessman was hit by a stolen car in Kiev, Ukraine, while waiting for a taxi near a restaurant. 

Mr Pring married the former stripper after they met on a dating website, but his family claim she was “only interested in his money” and had “some involvement” in his death.

An inquest at Devon County Hall recorded a verdict of unlawful killing. 

Coroner Dr Elizabeth Earland said: “His guard was lowered by inebriation. The car had stolen licence plates and did not brake or stop. 

“I am satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that Barry Pring has been unlawfully killed.” 

The hearing was told “strenuous” attempts had been made to get Ms Ziuzina to attend the inquest, but she had refused saying she could not add anything to police statements she gave in Ukraine.

BREAKING NEWS: Hundreds evacuated as huge fire breaks out at shopping centre

According to initial local reports no one has died in the blaze which has destroyed a large part of the plastic casing around the building.

One Instagram user wrote: “An evacuation was announced, first I didn’t understand what was going on, many people were in panic. I smelled that something was burning only on the ground floor, saw the fire at the exit.”

No cause for the fire has been given, so far.

As well as the shopping centre, which is located in the south-west of Russia’s capital, two cars parked near the building are said to have caught fire.

BREAKING: Police rescue 8 students, staff of Nigeria-Turkish International School from kidnappers

The kidnapped students and staff of the Nigerian-Turkish school in Ogun State have been rescued, police said Tuesday.

The five students and three staff of the Nigeria-Turkish International School located in Isheri Area of Ogun State were kidnapped on January 13.

The Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who broke the news on a social media platform known as PenPushing platform said details of the rescue would be made available later.

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, has explained why he did not graduate from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).

He said the outbreak of Nigerian civil war in 1967 made him and others move out of the then Eastern region.

Adeboye spoke in Nsukka on Tuesday after being conferred with Honorary Degree of Doctorate of Divinity.

He recalled that he gained admission into UNN in 1963 and his matriculation number was 1800.

He said: “It was the order of the then governor of the Eastern region Chief Odumgwu Ojukwu that non Igbos should leave the East; that was why I finished at the University of Ibadan.

Owner and Founder of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore has attacked Linda Ikeji accusing her of publishing false report against him.

Linda some few days ago had reported that Sowore was being barred by security agents from leaving the country until further notice. The report came following a petition filed by Fatodu Lekan to the Police Command Headquarters in Lagos State against Sowore of Sahara Reporters over criminal defamation, threat to life and Blackmail.

Using his Facebook page, Sowore blasted Linda saying that the story against him is false. He added that Linda might be working for the former police commissioner who is her close friend.

Man convicted of 3 murders as teen kills himself in prison

A man who broke into a classmate's home in 2007 and stabbed the teenager and his parents to death has killed himself in prison, authorities said Monday.

Cumberland County Deputy Coroner Jeff Miller said Alec Kreider, 25, was found hanging in his cell Friday at the state prison in Camp Hill. The Department of Corrections said staff members tried to revive Kreider after a guard found him unconscious in his cell. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Kreider was 16 when Kevin Haines and his parents, Thomas and Lisa Haines, were killed in May 2007. The couple's daughter, a college student, was awakened by the attacks and escaped unharmed.

'Saturday Night Live' writer suspended over tweet that mocked Donald Trump's 10-year old son

A writer for "Saturday Night Live" has been suspended for a tweet that ridiculed Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Donald Trump. 

The writer, Katie Rich, during Trump's inauguration on Friday, sent out a tweet that mocked Barron Trump, who is 10 years old. The tweet was widely criticized by many on social media.

The backlash went as far as an online petition that called for NBC to fire Rich. That petition has so far accumulated more than 85,000 signatures on Change.org.


Rich deleted the tweet as well as her Twitter account, which she then reactivated on Monday in order to post an apology.

"I sincerely apologize for the insensitive tweet, I deeply regret my actions & offensive words. It was inexcusable & I'm so sorry."

Smedile who was enjoying his retirement in Thailand, was walking along the sea front with his 49-year-old Thai wife on Sunday evening when a 10ft long branch snapped from a tree in Pattaya. He reportedly pushed her out the way but the branch struck him on the head.
