A Japanese actor has died after being stabbed in the stomach during a rehearsal with a samurai sword.
Daigo Kashino, a 33-year-old theatre-group actor, was rehearsing with several people at a downtown Tokyo studio yesterday when the incident occurred.
Tokyo police said Tuesday that they are investigating whether the death was criminal or accidental following his death in hospital.

Police did not specify if the sword was real or not, but other members of the group saw him hunched over
Local media reported indicated nobody was watching what exactly happened or how it happened.

Police didn't describe the sword or if it might have had safety features to prevent injury.

Kentucky Bill Would Require Viagra Users To Get Notes From Their Wives

A new bill sent to the Kentucky House of Representatives calls for men to visit a doctor twice and bring a signed note from their wives before receiving medication for erectile dysfunction.
Men would also have to swear on a Bible to use the medication only for sexual relations with their wives. The bill's sponsor, Rep. Mary Lou Marzian, said, "This is about family values."
Marzian added she doesn't actually expect it to pass. Instead, the bill is meant to mirror the issues she sees in a recent abortion law.

Mental health nurse who forced a Nigerian woman to fly to Britain to become a sex slave under the threat of a black magic curse is struck off

Tribunal: Mental health nurse Florence Obadiaru, 50, (pictured outside court in 2014) has been struck off for smuggling a Nigerian woman into Britain to work as a sex slave under the threat of a voodoo curse
A mental health nurse has been struck off for smuggling a Nigerian woman into Britain to work as a sex slave under the threat of a black magic curse.
Florence Obadiaru, 50, and two other traffickers from an international prostitution ring forced their 23-year-old victim to fly into Heathrow with a bogus passport in September 2011, a tribunal heard.
Before leaving Nigeria the victim was raped and subjected to a ‘ju-ju’ death ritual where gang members told her if she did not pay them £40,000 she would die.
She was promised a job in the UK so she could repay the debt, but when she arrived she was kept at Obadiaru’s house, sexually assaulted and told she was destined to work as a sex slave in Italy.
The ‘horrific’ plan was only thwarted when Italian authorities spotted the victim's forged ID and sent her back to the UK.
Obadiaru was jailed for two years in July 2014 after being convicted of trafficking the woman into the UK for sexual exploitation and arranging for her transfer to Italy.
She has now been struck-off the nursing register after a Nursing and Midwifery Council disciplinary hearing.
Chairman of the panel Robert Barnwell said: ‘You have been convicted of conspiracy to commit a deplorable and horrific crime in which a young woman was trafficked for the purposes of sexual exploitation, and your conviction goes to the very core of the principles involved in nursing care.

Revolutionary cancer breakthrough: Pioneering treatment halts disease in 94% of terminal patients in trial

Killer T-Lymhotcyte attacking a Cancer Cell
Hope: A modified T-cell attacks a cancer cell
Doctors battling to combat cancer have hailed a revolutionary treatment that teaches the body how to kill the disease itself.
Trials of immunotherapy showed remarkable results with 94% of terminal leukaemiapatients told they had just months to live going into remission.
And more than half of 40 suffering other blood cancers were left disease-free, according to US researchers.
The treatment could reduce the reliance on chemotherapy, which has debilitating toxic side-effects.
In a second major breakthrough, an Italian study found the therapy could be used to develop a vaccine-style drug that stops the disease coming back after it has been successfully treated.
In the US trial, white blood cells – known as T-cells – were taken from patients suffering acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and genetically modified to target the cancer.
