OK, apparently the bomb explosion that occurred this afternoon at the densely populated Terminus Market near Murtala Mohammed way in Jos is more serious than we thought. The twin explosion, which occurred 30 minutes apart, reportedly killed at least 200 people according to eye-witnesses, making it deadlier than the Nyanya blast. The bomb was planted in two cars, a Peugeot J5 van and a Toyota Sienna SUV with a Gombe state license plate number. Eye-witnesses said the car had been parked near the bus

‘I don’t have adopted children’ – Buhari denies rumours of his son’s arrest
News reports received yesterday alleged that an adopted son of former President Muhammadu Buhari was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on suspicion of fraud to the tune of N20 million.
However, General Buhari through his camp has stated that the reports are false as he has no adopted son.
This was contained in a statement released by the Buhari Vanguard on behalf of the General.
Read full statement below:
Gen Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) wishes to state categorically that he does not have any adopted son called “Muhammadu Buhari” and had no need to adopt a son at any time having been blessed with choice children, both male and female.
Muhammadu Buhari and his family do not know the said “Muhammed Buhari” who is alleged to be involved in a N20m scam and is being held by EFCC as reported by Saharareporters.
It is regrettable to note that after several unsuccessful attempts to smear the hard earned respect, popularity, dignity, and enviable image of Muhammadu Buhari, mischief makers have resorted to a laughable tactic of linking Muhammadu Buhari to a crime just because someone who has been alleged to have committed a crime somewhere bears the name “Buhari”.
Muhammadu Buhari is blessed with very descent and disciplined children who obviously took after their father. His children have no single record of stealing and inordinate behavior anywhere in the world. They do not seek attention, but have proven the stuff their father is made of any time their character is put to test.
However, this is understandable, since the entire attempts by mischief makers to discredit Muhammadu Buhari as an individual have failed. We frown at this poorly articulated gimmick to indirectly link Muhammadu Buhari and his family to a crime allegedly committed by someone unknown to him and his family just for the fact that the said suspect bears the name “Muhammed Buhari”.
We urge Nigerians to ignore the said report as Muhammadu Buhari and his family will continue to set the pace for others to follow in good character and conduct.

How I Escaped From Sambisa Forest – Abducted Student
What is your name?
Godiya Simon
How did you escape from Sambisa Forest?
After we were abducted and made to go through the forest, we were kept in an open place in the forest. The place we were kept was not just right and I felt that these people might kill us. We heard many bad things about them. I then began to plan how to escape. I told them that I wanted to urinate which they said no to, but after I kept repeating it, they allowed me to go along with three others. That was the time we escaped from the camp.
How did you know it was the Sambisa Forest they took you to?
From their discussion, we heard them?
Do you know the way to Sambisa?
No, I do not think I will know, you know we travelled at night. When we went to urinate, we started running. We were too scared, we just kept running, believing that with God on our side, we would get help.
Did the help later come?
Yes it did, after a long way from the forest we met a Fulani herdsman who assisted us out of the bush and onto the main road where we found vehicles back to Chibok.
What brought you to Maiduguri today?
We were told to come in order to watch a video which was said to have been released by Boko Haram so that we can tell them if the girls in the video are from our school.
Have you watched the video and recognised any of the girls?
Yes, we have watched it and there are many of our schoolmates there.
How did you feel seeing them?
I have a little bit of happiness within me and I believe they will come back alive like I did.
You saw some of them reciting the Holy Koran, how did this make you feel?
It makes me feel sad knowing that they must have been forced to recite the Koran. I know four of the girls to be good Christians that will never accept to change their faith. It is sad that they have been forced to become Muslims.

Solange and Jay Z Pose for First Pic Together After Elevator Fight: See Beyoncé's Happy Family Photo!
Over the weekend, Beyoncé shared a happy family photo of herself, Jay, Solange and their mother Tina Knowles all posing together, seemingly proving that they've put the family drama behind them after the dramatic Met Gala brawl that occurred earlier this month.
In the cute pic, the foursome flash giant smiles. Jay puts one arm around Bey as Solange and Tina wraps their arms around each other. The happy family snapshot was taken Saturday during a mini reunion in New Orleans, where Solange currently lives with her son
PICS: Famous family feuds
The happy family pics come about two weeks after Solange attacked Jay in an elevator on the night of the 2014 Met Gala because of some apparent flirting that went down with longtime acquaintance and designer Rachel Roy.
This past Thursday, Beyoncé, Solange and Jay released a joint statement on the incident, saying, "As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."

Transgender artists Zackary Drucker and Rhys Ernst are transitioning in
opposite directions and have captured their individual transformations
in the "Relationship" series, a collection of photographs on exhibit as part of Biennial 2014 at The Whitney Museum of American Art from March 7 to May 25.
The photo series is an intimate diary of the couple's love affair and their gender identity transitions -- Drucker from male to female
and Ernst from female to male. The photos span five years of their
relationship from 2008 to 2013. The photographs include tender embraces,
their bandaged bodies from hormone injections and also shots of
Drucker's growing breasts.

Drucker, 31, was born male in Syracuse, New York,
and is a graduate of Hampshire College. Ernst, 31, was born female in
Pomona, California, and graduated from the School of Visual Arts. She
had appeared on a TV reality show "Artstar," and he had been working for
MTV when the couple met in 2005. They now live in Los Angeles. The pair
have recently been hired to act as advisers on Amazon's new original
series, "Transparent."

Going public with their photographs as their relationship progressed seemed "organic," Ernst told ABC News.
"We stepped back and we had a huge body of work. It felt like a natural
choice. We didn't think about being in the closet. It's faithful to our
lives and has a lot of layers, not just to do with gender."
Drucker told ABC News their project was "was an impulse to investigate and to record and to be an inspiration."

The installation is part of three collaborative projects by Drucker, who
is a photographer, filmmaker and performance artist, and Ernst, a
director and filmmaker. They have also staged several events at the
Whitney, including a screening of their film, "She Gone Rogue," a series
of tarot card readings with the drag queen Flawless Sabrina, which sold
out.

"We have been very fortune to have had supportive family," said Drucker.
"Much of that has to do with our socioeconomic background -- also being
white. Lots of trans people are in very dangerous, precarious
situations because our culture does not create space for people who
exist outside the binary. These insidious elements of gender policing
trickle down and effect all of us."

But, added Ernst, "the biggest struggle for us outside being trans is
more about being emerging artists and struggling and trying to figure
out how to pay our bills and make a living. Practicing our art has been
really hard."
Hustler strip clubs offer Justin Bieber $1 million to do TV commercials
Larry Flynt's company proposes singer do raunchy ads for clubs in U.S. and London and says it can host a party for the singer when he turns 21
The offer comes from the Hustler Clubs, headed by world-famous pornographer Larry Flynt, which are planning a nationwide campaign to get men to stop “outsourcing visits to strip clubs and from now on buy only American.”
In a leaked letter filled with grammatical errors, marketing director David Lieberman makes a bizarre proposal for a TV commercial that would involve Bieber passionately kissing a woman clad in an American-flag bikini and burying his face in her “38 Double D’s.”
Bieber would then say to the camera, “Keep it here in the good old U.S. of A.” and “Keep the lap dances a-coming when you turn 21.”
Writes Lieberman: “That’s not really an ad, it’s actually a public service announcement for Justin’s legions of fans who (are) about to enter adulthood.”
The letter also proposes that Bieber do an ad for the Hustler Club in London, with a woman clad in a Union Jack bikini and the star saying, “Keep it here in jolly old England.”
Also offered: a party for Bieber and his dad, Jeremy, on the singer’s 21st birthday next March.
There’s also a warning that Charlie Sheen is next on the list if Bieber declines. The letter declares ominously, “I’m sure that I don’t have to tell you that this could be the last big offer that he will ever receive.”
One of Flynt’s right-hand men — VP of Communications Arthur Sando — confirms that the offer stands.
“It came from our marketing department. Mr. Flynt gave his approval,” Sando says.
The proposal comes at a time when Bieber is under severe scrutiny. He’s waiting to learn if police will prosecute him for vandalism over egg-throwing accusations, and the LAPD is investigating a report that he attempted to steal a cell phone. In addition, there have been lawsuits over his bodyguards’ behavior.
Vanished Girl, Mom Reunited After 4 Years Missing
Vanished Girl, Mom Reunited After 4 Years Missing (ABC News)
A Florida woman was reunited with her 12-year-old daughter Saturday after a four-year separation.
Jodie
Borchert, of Deltona, Florida, had not seen her daughter, Cara Cox,
since she dropped off the girl with her father, Aaron Cox, for a weekend
visit in 2009.
Cox, 55, then abducted his daughter and fled the country, police said.
Since
2009, police from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office have searched for
the pair but they had no solid leads for years. However, police got a
tip on Monday that the pair was in the remote Hidalgo area of Mexico,
according to a statement by the Volusia County Sherriff's Office.
Working
with authorities from Mexico and the U.S. State Department, law
enforcement officials were able to find and arrest Cox and recover his
daughter. Police said the pair had been living under assumed names while
living in Mexico.
After Cox's arrest, Cara was flown back to Miami to be with her mother for the first time in four years.
"The
mother was waiting, anxiously waiting here in Miami for the plane to
touch down and for her to finally meet her daughter after all these
years," Brandon Haught of the Volusia County Sheriff's Office told ABC
News affiliate WFTV-TV in Orlando, Florida.
Cox
was in jail in Miami on a charge of interfering with custody and
awaiting extradition to Volusia County, Florida. The Volusia County
Sheriff's Office did not know whether or not Cox had retained a lawyer.
31 children killed after bus catches fire in Colombia
A bus packed with children burst into flames in Colombia on Sunday, killing at least 32 people, officials said.
The bus was picking up
children from an event at a church in Fundacion, Colombia, when the
blaze began, Col. Adan Leon told CNN affiliate Caracol TV.
"Everyone started to scream and run," a child who was on the bus told Caracol, describing how he escaped through a window.
Victims of the deadly fire included 31 children and one adult, Harry Aaron, a civil defense official in Magdalena department, told CNN.
Authorities are investigating what caused the fire, Leon told Caracol.
One witness told Caracol that the driver went to get a drink and left children to put gasoline into the vehicle's tank.
Colombian President Juan
Manuel Santos expressed condolences on Twitter Sunday and traveled to
the northern Colombian municipality to be with victims.
"The country is in mourning," he said.
