May D, Iyanya, Wizkid, Sarkodie, Tiwa Savage, Davido WIN BIG at The Headies aka “Nigeria’s Grammy”

The Headies aka “Nigeria’s Grammy” as some are calling it, took place over the weekend and boy was my twitter timeline flooded with tweets about the event held in Lagos? Apparently many thought rapper Eva had the best performance for the night, and M.I and Omawumi were excellent hosts. Very cool. I am sure video coverage of the event will soon emerge. In the meantime, check out the winners from the event as released by the Headies.
Congratulations to all winners and nominees.

The Baddest Man Alive – Rza featuring the Black Keys – New Video

For movies lovers, something great is coming your way soon. In a few week’s time, one of the most anticipated movies will make a debut. “The Man With The Iron Fists” is an incredible action packed movie set to rock the entire entertainment industry. Quite a number of videos have been released to briefly showcase what movie lovers should expect. Just last week, the industry was treated to a new hot track Built Like This”. The track was a well laid out joint project between Method Man and Freddie Gibbs, the track exclusively featured movie scenes from The movie, The Man With The Iron Fists.
For the second time in less than a week, a new hot video The Baddest Man Alive” hits the market and guess who’s behind the production?  Movie director and Grammy Award winner Rza himself doing his thing in conjunction with Black Keys, an American rock duo based in Ohio.
Movie Director – Rza

Black Keys is a successful popular duo of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney who have at one time bagged a Grammy award for the Best Alternative Music Album.

The video is well done, Rza definitely deserves kudos for successfully executing this one. Together with Black Keys, the video exclusively shows scenes from The Man With The Iron Fists. A restaurant is the point of focus where Rza and Black Keys settle down to have some fun.  The whole room then erupts into a fierce battle ground with Rza acting out as the tough untouchable guy as he ruthlessly deals with the enemies one after another.

Tony Scott Suicide

Tony Scott jumped off a bridge to kill himself. There were rumors he did it because he had an inoperable brain tumor, but his family says that is not true. His wife adds:
“Tony did not have any other severe medical issues that would have caused him to take his own life.”
The police found a suicide note that Tony left, and they naturally shared the contents of that note with the family, so the family and the police know why Tony killed himself, which is all that matters. It’s really none of our business, however, there were people on a tour boat who witnessed Tony jumping from the bridge, and those people took pictures, and video, of the horrible event. Now those people are trying to sell those images. I don’t know who would buy that material, but whoever they are, they have no respect for human life, or death with dignity. There was a movie, a long time ago, called Faces of Death that showed people jumping off buildings, and all sorts of horrible video footage. It may be human nature to want to see those things, as death is part of life, but I’m not one of them.

Lindsay Lohan was questioned by police after she brought several men to an all-night party, and the owners reported to police that those men stole valuable jewlry. She then left town to avoid looking suspicious. Police say she is not a suspect, which seems like the same old great police work we’ve become accustomed to.
Tomorrow’s headline: “Police arrest Lindsay Lohan for pawning stolen jewelry.”
Thursday’s headline: “Lindsay faces 3 years in state prison.”
Friday’s headline: “Judge orders Lindsay to serve 2 hours of community service for theft.”
Monday’s headline: “Lohan fails to show up for community service, judge says ‘Close enough.’”

Chris Brown releases video about his love triangle with Rihanna and Karrueche

Chris Brown releases video about his love triangle with Rihanna and Karrueche

24 hours after announcing his break up with girlfriend of almost two years, Karrueche Tran, Chris Brown has released a video where he details his current dilemma of being in love with two women. What he said in the video below..
I’m a little drunk so I’m gonna be honest. See, y’all don’t really get the real Chris Brown but I’m gonna be honest. I’m stressed out. It’s not about the music cause I love my fans. It’s just, when you share history with somebody, and then you tend to fall in love with somebody else, it’s kind of difficult.
Is there such thing as loving two people?  I don’t know if that’s possible but for me, I feel like that. Y’all probably like, ‘What the f-ck is he talking about right now’ but I am being real. I don’t want to hurt either or.  I’m not trying to be a player, or a dog, not none of that. My mother raised me differently, so I just can’t. I don’t know man, a n-gga be stressing. That’s what n-ggas do. The life of Chris Brown

Readers sound off on Lady Gaga, the presidential debate and abortion

Lady Gaga’s wisdom on weed
Brooklyn: The May-December conflict between Staten Island Borough President James Molinaro and Lady Gaga reflects quintessential differences between 20th and 21st century attitudes toward marijuana and the entire drug war (“Staten Island Borough Prez calls Lady Gaga ‘a slut,’ ” NYDailyNews.com, Sept. 25). For those who came of age during the Cold War, as Molinaro did, the paranoia of the Red Scare became focused on a new enemy within: the dope fiend. I believe this is why Molinaro used a schoolyard epithet in his ungentlemanly outburst at the Queen of Pop. Lady Gaga, by contrast, was born in 1986, the beginning of the crack era. Her attitudes toward drugs are pragmatic and rational. In her recent statements, she correctly observed that smoking marijuana is much safer than drinking alcohol. Lady Gaga deserves to be lauded for common sense and bravery, not pilloried by an out-of-touch politician. Kenneth S. Toglia
Beating up the moderator
Forest Hills: Mitt Romney bullied Jim Lehrer so much, I thought he was going to cut his hair. Alan Hirschberg
Landslide for Mitt
Cincinnati: Mitt Romney so thoroughly dominated President Obama in the first debate that I suspect he would have won the swimsuit competition had there been one. Paul Bloustein
Mitt’s small idea
Mohegan Lake, N.Y.: Funding for PBS accounts for .0002% of the federal budget. That means that if your average federal taxes per year are $8,000, then $1.60 goes to support PBS. So, Mitt Romney’s grand plan to get us out of debt is to fire Big Bird and save $1.60? Genius. Super genius. Michael W. Domis
Barack’s bad night
Brooklyn: After his performance at Wednesday’s debate, Barack and Michelle Obama spent the evening of their 20th wedding anniversary dancing to: “There may be trouble ahead. Let’s face the music and dance.” Time for the President to do a little more studying and less fund-raising with Jay-Z and Beyoncé. It might even pay off for him to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at this time. Ed Greenspan
Running on empty
Newark: In order to have a debate, both parties have to argue their point of view and at least back it up with facts. Mitt Romney may have been more animated, but in substance, he lost. David Figueroa
Out of his depth
Brooklyn: The liberal media can no longer cover up President Obama’s failure as a leader. It was totally evident that he was unprepared in the debate with Mitt Romney. Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach. Obama should go back to the classroom. Being President means hard work and being committed to the job every day. Leading from behind is not leading at all. It is only an excuse. A leader is out front. Mark Levine
