Whitney Houston’s School Underwhelmed By Donations
The Administrators at the New Jersey school named after Whitney Houston say that they are underwhelmed by donations received following the singer’s death. Her family had request donations be made to the school in lieu of flowers. The Whitney E. Houston Academy of Creative and Performing Arts has received $40,613.
That amount includes a $25,000 donation from Sony Music and $10,000 donated by Beyonce and Jay-Z. School district accountant Felicie Desroches says she thought the donations would be more because Whitney had so many fans. The principal says plans to use the money to establish a scholarship and update performing arts equipment.
In related news, New Jersey taxpayers are said to be upset at the nearly $199,000 in police overtime for security during Whitney’s funeral. The police racked up overtime to provide weeklong security for the singer’s family, celebrities and her funeral service. That also included $9,000 for police to handle traffic at Fairview Cemetery.

Bobby Brown's Sister Speaks Out,Ray j killed my sister
Whitney Houston's cause of death was released yesterday: Drowning after a heart episode brought on by chronic cocaine use. L.A. County Chief Coroner Craig Harvey confirmed that the singer appeared to have used the drug "in the time period just immediately prior to her collapse in the bathtub at the hotel" -- but who gave it to her?
Leolah Brown, the sister of Whitney's ex-husband Bobby Brown, told Dr. Drew she is convinced that Ray J was supplying the singer with drugs -- including the fatal dose.
Leolah said her first thought when she heard the news of Whitney's death was, "My God, somebody gave her a bad bag" of cocaine.
"I promise you that was the first thing that came out of my mouth," she said. "Then I saw Ray J: And it all added up."
"I am going to believe that Ray J -- who Whitney told me she had no relationship with… he was, like she said, a runner boy. He was buying [drugs] for Whitney for what I know, and giving her drugs."
Is Ray J hoarding a cache of Whitney Houston sex tapes? >>
Leolah's accusations are not sitting well with Ray J, who vehemently denied having anything to do with it.
"Even though Leolah Brown was nowhere near the Beverly Hilton Hotel on the day Whitney Houston died, Ms. Brown falsely claimed that Ray J was at the hotel and contributed to Whitney Houston's death," his rep said in a statement.
"Even the most minimal inquiry with anyone actually in contact with Whitney would reveal that Leolah Brown had been out of contact with Whitney for more than a year."
Ray J's statement makes sense according to what one source, who claims to have been with Whitney the day she died, told TMZ. According to the insider, someone removed all traces of cocaine from the hotel room before authorities arrived, and that same person supplied them to her in the first place.

Nigerian Idol Honours Whitney Houston as A.Y.O And Ibinabo Exit
The finalists rendered the late singer’s popular songs like ‘I wanna dance with somebody’ and ‘saving all my love’ while judges including guest judge Lara George nodded in approval.
Also one of the Judges Yinka Davies, co-host Tiwa Savage and music director Kehinde Dacosta teamed up to bring the show to a final end with Whitney’s ‘Greatest Love of All’.
It was however not all rosy as the number of contestants was also cut down to 10, with A.Y.O and Ibinabo’s elimination.
In April, a new winner will be announced at a grand gala show carting home a prize worth $100,000 and an SUV.

Whitney Houston: Winans Family Member to Deliver Eulogy at Funeral?
As Whitney Houston's body was being flown from Los Angeles to New Jersey today, plans were coming together for the late singer's funeral.
I just got word that Her longtime friend, the Rev. Marvin Winans, will likely deliver the eulogy, according to a source.
The Michigan-based pastor—and brother of gospel artists BeBe and CeCe Winans—officiated Houston's wedding to Bobby Brown in 1992.Winans heads Detroit's Perfecting Church, a ministry he founded.
Houston was interviewed by 3m360 after attending a service at the church a few years ago.
"I've had a great time," she told 3m360. "If I closed my eyes tomorrow, the only thing that would concern me is my daughter growing up right. For me, for my life, I'd be satisfied."
She was also spotted at the church this October while filming her last movie, Sparkle, in the Motor City.
