Simon Cowell came face-to-face with a female intruder who broke into his $14 million London home Saturday night, a Scotland Yard spokesman has confirmed.
The British music mogul was watching TV at 10 pm when he was confronted by over-zealous fan, Leanne Zaloumis.
"It was absolutely terrifying," the 52-year-old told the Daily Mirror. "She could have had a gun."
The woman is believed to have evaded the security and gained access to The X Factor host's luxury pad through a downstairs window.
Zaloumis was eventually detained by Cowell's staff and she was arrested when police arrived.
A Scotland Yard spokesman confirmed the incident and said: "Police were called....to reports of a disturbance. Officers attended the address and found a woman had forced entry to the premises. She was arrested and taken to a west London police station where she remains.
