Christina Aguilera has nabbed more than her share of high-profile magazine covers, but this week’s cover of the Australian edition of the tabloid OK! may not be one she’s eager to advertise: The rag features an unflattering photo of the Lotus songbird from the red carpet at the 2012 American Music Awards with the headline “Christina: I LOVE MY NEW BODY.”
Her appearance in the photo is such a marked departure from, say, her Lotus cover artwork, that it led Xtina fans on Twitter to speculate that the pic had been digitally altered to make the singer look worse. So is it true — was there shady Photoshopping afoot?
Based on our (totally unscientific analysis), the answer is no. We returned to the original, unaltered photo directly from the photo agency — as seen in the split pic above — and except for the direction Xtina is facing, the photos are virtually identical.
Still, based on other photos from that evening, it’s mostly just a bad angle. What do you think, Fighters? Was the picture digitally altered, or is this just a case of an unfortunate photo?
