Arsene Wenger has "overstayed his welcome" at Arsenal - Gunners boss

Former Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood believes it is time to call an end to Arsene Wenger's tenure.

The Arsenal boss has come under increasing pressure this week following back-to-back 3-0 defeats to Manchester City.

Wenger has refused to discuss his future but his position is set to be reviewed in the summer, in the biggest threat to his reign.
Hill-Wood appointed Wenger as Gunners boss in 1996 before stepping down in 2013.

And he believes the time has come for a change at the Emirates.

“I clearly am not very happy about what is going on. I think that there probably ought to be a change of management," he told the Daily Star.

“He has done fabulously well, it is just he has overstayed his welcome.

“I find it very sad because he was the great love of many and then it (overstaying his welcome) has destroyed it all.”
Arsenal face Brighton on Sunday and could go into the encounter 13 points adrift of the top four.
