Manchester City star Raheem Sterling is 'called a n***** and kicked repeatedly by fan who "waited for him" outside club training ground' hours before starring in victory over Tottenham Hotspur
Raheem Sterling has been racially abused and kicked repeatedly outside Manchester City's training ground, according to reports.
The footballer was allegedly called a 'n*****' by a man who appeared to be waiting for him at the players' entrance.
Sources said the 23-year-old had arrived in his car when he was confronted by a volley of abuse.
When the footballer got out of his car to ask what the problem was, the man is said to have repeatedly kicked him in the leg.
According to The Telegraph, the incident was reportedly caught on CCTV but it is not known whether officials at City have filed a report with Greater Manchester Police.
The alleged attacker is not thought to have been known to the footballer.
Sterling went on to score twice in City's 4-1 victory over Tottenham and the alleged incident was not mentioned in manager Pep Guardiola's post-match press conference.
Sterling's two goals put him above Sergio Aguero as the club's top goalscorer this season.
