Three-foot 7in pantomime dwarf is elected Britain's shortest politician as he wins Welsh council seat for the Tories

James Lusted, 29, has become the Conservative Party's shortest politician at just 3ft 7in tall after he was today elected county councillor in his hometown of Rhos on Sea in Conwy, North Wales

New Tory councillor James Lusted was today elected as the Conservative party’s shortest politician - at just 3ft 7in tall.
James, 29, hopes to stand up for the little people as he takes up the ballot box battle.
The part-time pantomime actor pledges to measure up to the challenge of politics - despite being more than two feet shorter than 5ft 8in PM Theresa May.
He was today elected as a county councillor in his hometown of Rhos on Sea in Conwy, North Wales.
James said: 'I will ensure that I listen to the residents, not just the younger or the older generation, but every generation from whatever background - everyone will have a voice.'
Married James is a committed Christian and also performs in Christmas pantomimes of Snow White.

He hit the headlines when he took his own step-ladder to church to stand next to his 5ft 7in bride, trainee teacher Chloe in November last year.
The ceremony was filmed for the BBC Wales show Born Small: The Wedding.
Chloe said that their height difference had never bothered her.

The couple now plan to have a family. They would have an increased risk of having a baby with dwarfism if Mrs Lusted also carries the gene, but she said they are not concerned.
'Family is the key that we can't wait to have,' Chloe said before her wedding. 'We don't have any concerns if there's a chance of having a baby in Jay's position.
'I'm not even prepared to take the test to see if I have the gene because I think that at the end of the day it won't change my mind about having kids either way.
'We would love it the same as any other baby that we would have.'
James was born with a rare genetic condition called Diastrophic Dysplasia.
Both his parents are of average height but carried a rare gene. His older brother Phil is also a dwarf.
