MMA fighter War Machine 'beat porn star ex to pulp and sexually assaulted her after discussing rape fantasy'

Christy Mack with War Machine
mixed martial arts fighter is to stand trial accused of brutally beating and sexually assaulting his porn star ex after the pair discussed acting out a rape fantasy.
Jonathan Koppenhaver is alleged to have beaten Christine Mackinday into a pulp and strangled her friend Corey Thomas to within an inch of his life after breaking into his former girlfriend's flat in 2014.
Mackinday, who starred in porn films under the name Christy Mack, posted photos of her horrific injuries on Twitter after the alleged assault in her Las Vegas home left her with 18 broken bones in her face, including a shattered eye socket.
A judge has ruled evidence the couple's discussion of rape fantasy can be heard in court after hearing Koppenhaver, 34, often bragged: "Real men rape."
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that Mackinday told a defence lawyer at a hearing on Thursday: "That was a joke between us. That was a pretty common slogan for him to say, and yes, I would repeat it back to him.”

She added: “I did actually ask him to play out a rape fantasy one time, but it never came to fruition.”
She toold the court the fantasy would have included a “very specific set of guidelines and rules would be set down and laid out before the acts are actually done, for safety reasons and consent reasons.”
Mackinday, 25, added: "I wouldn’t want to have an actual rape happen.”
Mackinday alleges she was repeatedly attack during the relationship with Koppenhaver, who also worked as a porn star, after the pair met while working on an adult film.
She said that at Koppenhaver became violent when she did not want to have sex with him after returning from a shoot.
During those outbursts, which happened about once a month, the professional fighter hit, strangled and forced her to have sex with him, she said.
On the day of the attack on her and Thomas, the two friends are said to have been sleeping fully clothed when the fight boke into the house.
Koppenhaver is alleged to have strangled Thomas for 10 minutes before ordering him to leave and turning his fury towards Mackinday, who he was unaware had called the police.
Mackinday has previously said: "I have no recollection of how many times I was hit, I just know my injuries that resulted from my beating."My injuries include 18 broken bones around my eyes, my nose is broken in 2 places, I am missing teeth and several more are broken.
"I ran out my back door, shutting it behind me so the dogs didn't run inside to tip him off.
"I hoped the fence to the golf course behind my house and ran to a neighboring house."
Koppenhaver, who rejected a plea deal offered by prosecutors, is due to stand trial next month.
