Trey Songz was arrested at his Detroit concert on Wednesday night (Dec. 28) after the singer destroyed the stage property, the Associated Press reports. "He became irate and belligerent, and started throwing microphones, speakers, basically anything he could get his hands on," police spokesman Officer Dan Donakowski said about Songz (whose real name is Tremaine Neverson).
Fan footage surfaced of the singer breaking equipment onstage at the Joe Louis arena before throwing various objects into the crowd. After the incident, Songz was taken into custody at Detroit Detention Center. He's now looking at charges of malicious destruction of property and resisting and obstructing arrest.

Songz was one of the performers at FM 98 WJLB and Channel 955's fourth annual Big Show at the Joe, which also included Desiigner, Young M.A and Lil Yachty. He was asked by concert organizers to end his set early, which prompted him tearing up the stage. “Because a n---a cut me off, I’m going the fuck crazy,” he told the audience. The singer's reps have yet to comment on the arrest.
