Dad of Brit girl arrested after being 'raped' in Dubai admits he's "scared" after emotional reunion with daughter



The dad of a British woman facing jail after reporting she had been raped in Dubai has admitted he is "scared" after an emotional reunion with his daughter.
Zara-Jayne Moisey, 25, told police in the United Arab Emirates she was violently raped by two British men in the city last month.
But instead of being treated as a victim she was arrested on suspicion of 'extra-marital sex' and now faces a potential prison sentence.
Zara, who is currently on bail, was reunited with her dad Chris Moisey at Dubai International Airport yesterday after he flew out to help her bid for freedom.

After being greeted by his daughter yesterday, Chris wrote on Facebook: "Scared".
He later thanked supporters who have helped his family raise more than £30,000 towards Zara's legal fees.
Zara claims to have had her passport confiscated and is currently staying in a safe house as she awaits trial.

On Friday, she sent a message thanking people for their support as her ordeal continues to make international headlines.
She said: “I want to say a huge thank you to everybody for supporting me. Without the loving, kind and supportive words I couldn’t get through the long days.
“It’s petrifying out here alone but I have to stay strong. There are many hurdles to cross and many emotional, fearful times ahead.”

Zara was on holiday in Dubai when the alleged attack took place 
The two alleged attackers are also understood to have been arrested and bailed.
Police in the country are understood to be investigating mobile phone footage of the alleged attack as investigations continue.
Zara was heading to Australia for the 'holiday of a lifetime' after her marriage split when the alleged attack took place.
The Foreign Commonwealth Office has confirmed it is "supporting a British woman" will "remain in contact with her family."
