Man charged with murder of teenager knifed to death in London street

A man has been charged with murder after a teenager was stabbed to death in the street in broad daylight.
Lance Scott Walker, 18, was found dead in Hayes, west London, on Monday.
A post-mortem examination found the teenager died from stab wounds .
Idris Hassan, 18, was arrested and later charged with murder.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court today.
Police were called at around 3.55pm on Monday to reports of a man suffering stab injuries in Gledwood Gardens at the junction with Gledwood Drive, Hayes.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found the victim collapsed in the street. Treatment was administered but he died shortly after 4.35pm.
It is believed the victim was initially attacked at an address in Glenwood Gardens, police said.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command led by Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh are investigating.
DCI McHugh said: "We are still in the early stages of our investigation and whilst we have a man in custody we still require the help of the public to understand the full facts which led to Lance's death.
"The incident occurred in broad daylight and there were a number of people in and around Gledwood Gardens that afternoon who either witnessed the lead up to the incident or the murder itself.
"It is imperative that anyone who has any information that could assist us with our investigation contacts us as soon as possible. I would like to reassure those who have concerns about making contact with the police; the information you hold could be significant to our investigation so please do the right thing and come forward."
Any witnesses or anyone with any information for detectives are urged to contact the incident room on 020 8785 8099 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via crimestoppers-uk.org
