Drake isn’t the only hip-hop cash king hitting his friends off with bands for the holidays. Puff Daddy recently gave French Montana a hefty Christmas bonus. Bestowing a one million dollar bonus onto his Bad Boy signee, the wealthy rap mogul’s generosity was the gift that kept on giving. After thanking his boss for the check, French donated the lump sum to charity, TMZ reports.
French is using the million-dollar gift to fund a charity he has started in the South Bronx to aid young children and schools. This is the rapper’s second philanthropic act this holiday season; he also donated 100 pairs of sneakers to a nonprofit organization called Entertainers 4 Education Alliance, according to a report by the New York Daily News. Details on the charity has not been divulged as yet.
As for Puff, the money looks like it will keep on stacking up. In an Instagram announcement, the Bad Boy CEO revealed that his Revolt TV network has inked a deal with DirecTV. The new distribution platform is expected to boost the network’s viewership to 60 million.
“Our new agreement with DirecTV is further proof we are on a fast track to revolutionizing the media industry,” he told Variety. “We are achieving what we set out to do 18 months ago — our programming is available on more screens, and our audience is bigger and more powerful than ever before.”
