Lamar Odom is getting better ‘slowly but surely’, according to reports.
However the former NBA star apparently still has a long way to go until he fully recovers.
A source told Us Weekly that Odom, who turns 36 on Friday, may be moved to a rehab facility as early as next week, but adds that this ‘is not definite yet’.

The source said: ‘Lamar is doing better slowly but surely. He is still working with lots of therapists.
‘Every day he is relearning how to do more with his motor skills. He is cognitively aware of everything but [it’s] hard to process a lot at once.’
Meanwhile an insider told Entertainment Tonight that Lamar is walking with assistance – with people holding him up or while using a walker.
‘He is doing better but he has a long road ahead,’ the source said, adding that the basketball pro is able to decide what visitors he accepts.
It has been three weeks since Lamar, who is currently being treated at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai hospital – collapsed at a Nevada brothel following a four-day bender.

Health crisis: It has been three weeks since Lamar, who is currently being treated at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai hospital – collapsed at a Nevada brothel following a four-day bender
He is said to have had multiple strokes, and Nye County Sheriff's Department stated that cocaine was found in his system.
The latest update on Lamar comes a day after Us Weekly alleged that he has told estranged wife Khloe Kardashian he needs space.
The rift was said to have been created by the athlete's close friends and family, who told him the reality star had been exploiting his tragic overdose for publicity.
Daily Mail Online has contacted reps for Khloe Kardashian seeking comment.
A source told Us Weekly that the athlete's inner circle had turned him against Khloe with claims she had tipped off paparazzi to document the Kardashian family's comings and goings at the hospital.

In addition Lamar is said to have been led to believe that his estranged wife has taken credit for his miraculous recovery after a series of strokes - related to his drug overdose - and blocked members of his family and inner circle of friends from visiting him in the hospital.
Under the influence of these allegations, the publication claims Lamar was fed up and told Khloe on October 23 he 'needed space' and 'wanted to be alone' before telling her to 'get out'.
The former couple’s divorce had not been finalised when Lamar collapsed, and they have since withdrawn divorce papers so that Khloe could make medical decisions for him as his wife.
The 31-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star confirmed last week that they are not back together.
