A paramedic was pictured in her wedding dress helping out at the scene of a car crash just hours after she tied the knot .
Sarah Ray rushed to help when one of her wedding guests - believed to be her grandmother - was involved in a car accident.
Sarah leaped out of the car she was being escorted in and ran to assist the emergency services.
A photo of her standing in the middle of the road, surrounded by emergency services vehicles, with her wedding dress hitched up around her thighs, went viral after being posted on Facebook.
Montgomery County, in Tennessee, which posted the photo and for whom Sarah works, wrote: "How dedicated are you to your job?
"Thank you Sarah for loving what you do!"
Sarah later wrote on Facebook: “I just wanted to say thank you to everybody on here for all your kind comments.
"My husband and I were both there, even though I was the only one pictured.
"I really don’t think we did anything out of the ordinary.
"I would like to believe just about anybody in the medical field would have done the same, especially for family… dressed up or not.
"I’m just very thankful everyone was okay.
"We are proud of our job and proud to be part of Montgomery County EMS [Emergency Medical Services].”
